    Rigatoni with sausage
    Liza G.

Last night my husband and I were looking to grab dinner before catching a movie. We found this gem right near the theater and boy did we luck out! Lovely decor, romantic atmosphere and absolutely fantastic food. I ordered the pesto gnocchi and my husband had the sausage rigatoni. The pasta was fresh, portions were perfect and everything was delicious. Plus the owner is very classy and went around to each table to speak with every customer. He was friendly and nice. I can't even remember the last time an owner of a restaurant took the time to do that, and it enhanced the already pleasant experience. They do so many of the little things right too. Like freshly grated cheese on the pasta, a good quality olive oil with warm bread. Service was great, and I can't wait to try additional things on the menu. This is the spot anytime we want to grab dinner before the movie. Also, given the quality of the food and experience, which were very upscale, the pricing was quite reasonable. I feel so lucky we found this spot. If you like good quality fresh pasta - this is the spot!

Solid 5 stars! It's definitely got a friendly neighborhood vibe with fabulous food and excellent service. The owner (Sandro) popped by the table a few times and made sure everything was perfect for us. Prices are reasonable for that area, especially given how good the food was. We will definitely be back again!

Amarone on Sunset was my go-to for many years until it briefly disappeared. It has now resurfaced in a comfy, cozy corner spot on Beverly Near La Brea, destined to be a top neighbor Italian. Favorites from a recent visit include a luscious mushroom-stuffed ravioli with butter and sage sauce, a refreshing pear and Gorgonzola salad, and a creamy panna cotta. Menu is packed with specialties, pastas, entrées, and huge salads, all made from scratch inhouse. Owner Sandro is also known among regulars for accommodating off-menu requests. (I asked to have my eggplant parm made New York style--more cheese and sauce than traditional Italian parm--which Sandro gladly and deliciously accommodated). Whether for a special occasion or an everyday meal, Amarone is the perfect local spot for great Italian food.

Want to feel like you're in a little Italy? Go to Amarone! Everything from the food to the service to the ambiance! I ordered the Spaghetti Mare and it was delicious!! it was so fresh and full of seafood. Some places only put a few pieces of seafood (usually shrimp) but here it was loaded up! Different types of seafood including octopus, shrimp, and scallops. You can not go wrong with either one of the raviolis, they were both amazing!

This place has homemade pasta + sauces. My partner and I ordered several plates and few drinks! Drinks: La Molisana + Whiskey Sour. Both were not too strong so it complimented our main course. We aren't fans of wine so these drinks were a good pair! Appetizers: Carpaccio di Manzo!! SO FRESH. Also so nice to look at! I didn't want to start or finish! Food: Spaghetti Mare + Spaghetti Carbonara. Both were amazing!!! My partner loved the fresh seafood. He was raving about the baby octopus. As far as the carbonara, WOW. Their sauce is so rich. The meat was perfectly sliced. I recommend both plates! Dessert: Tiramisu! It was really good! I heard they are made in house! It didn't make us feel heavy at the end. Service: 10/10. The waiter and owner checked in on us plenty of times. We did not feel bombarded or rushed like at other restaurants. Overall, 11/10! Can't wait to come back.

best Italian food we've had in LA. I don't eat much wheat pasta, but knew I had to try this organic, handmade offering especially when there is Linguine Al Nero Di Seppia / black squid ink pasta with fresh crab and scallops involved. It did not disappoint, with the best chewiness and nuanced seasoning of any Italian dish I've had since visiting the Tuscany region itself. Not a linguine fan, I have been converted! The Bucatini All' Amatriciana is also fantastical, and our friends got the carbonara and lobster spaghetti. We shared the insanely perfect Prosciutto e Burrata and Calamari alla Griglia - the only calamari being the only dish we wouldn't repeat but can't wait to return and try the Polipo Scottato and Carpaccio di Manzo. The restaurant itself is delightfully cozy and "old school" vibes without feeling at all low-fi, and the owner was there all night serving us and bantering away in a fun way. We thought everything was very fairly priced. We will for sure be back, counting the days . . .

Not a bad bite! The service was great and possibly the best chicken parm in LA (yes better than Jame) Owner is on site and stopped by the tables a few times to say hello make small talk and ensure 1000% satisfaction. 10/10 will return

A friend of mine was raving about this restaurant for months and I was happy to finally try it. It is a very inviting dining room with tasteful decor. The owner greeted us and chatted with us for awhile. The restaurant recently moved from another location. The menu is good - it was very difficult to decide on just a couple of dishes. All the pastas sound great and my head was turning as dishes were delivered to each table. They have a creative cocktail list - not with hipster drinks where you don't know what half the items are. It was curated by someone who really knows what they are doing. I had an interesting drink with an egg foam. We had the Raviolo Funghi, hand made mushroom ravioli with a butter, sage, truffle sauce. For entree, we had filet mignon with a wine reduction sauce. The quality and cook on the steak was perfect. I am not a huge dessert person, but their pannacotta is unforgettable. It does not have too much gelatin. It is light and creamy, with visible specks of vanilla bean which you can taste.

@amaronekitchenandbar - I already tira-MISU! If you're looking for a hidden intimate + vibey gem, you definitely have to check out @amaronekitchenandbar , a family-owned Italian restaurant that specializes in authentic Italian cuisine. They were voted one of the Top 10 restaurants in Los Angeles, and you can really taste the quality in their ingredients, which they try to source organic whenever possible. @amaronekitchenandbar makes all of their breads, pastas, sauces and desserts fresh in-house daily. My favorite dishes were the bruschetta, which was so deeply flavorful and refreshing, and the tiramisu, which was light, fluffy, and pleasantly light on the sweetness. The Pink Lilly cocktail was also deliciously whipped up, and I'll have to try their $70 24K gold cocktail next time. Service could be a bit slow and inattentive even with a slow dinner crowd, but I do understand that the restaurant seems a bit understaffed. Nevertheless, definitely a hidden joint worth checking out if you happen to be in the Beverly & La Brea area!

We came on. Sunday night for dinner. We ordered a couple cocktails to start and they were good. We also ordered the burrata, and scallops a s both were good. We shared the Insalata Di Pere E Gorgonzola which was decent. For our mains we ordered two pastas: the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and Rigatoni Alla Vodka. I enjoyed the Tagliatelle over the Alla Vodka. But both were good. We finished with the tiramisu, which was OK. Overall the food and drinks and service were good.

Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 This place is amazing. My wife and I happened to stop by because they serve authentic and homemade pasta. Boy were we in for a treat! One of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles. We'll definitely be stopping by again real soon and next time with friends. Would recommend 10/10.

I couldn't not give 5 stars because the sevice was very good. It has the vibe that none of the American restaurant I visited has. Pretty much like chill, relaxing, fine dining vibe that I didn't expect from a place on Beverly Blvd (I mean, they did it in a good way). It's very nice to be sitting and actually had a good meal. Food was great. Some items are pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but not pricey compared to the quality you get. Cauliflower food is my favorite but the meat and seafood plates are worth the try too. Parking behind the restaurant. They have some allocated space just for the restaurant. I didn't try alcoholic drink but water didn't smell strong LA tap.

The Melrose Mule was cool. Very refreshing like the bartender mentioned. It was different than the usual mules I get. And the Improved Whiskey was like having an Old Fashion and Whiskey Sour together. It did not disappoint. I also had an attentive bartender who had a good attitude.
