I got the eggplant tempura snack off the happy hour menu for $6 and this was SO good. And actually a little too much for one person! Portion was generous and this was delicious. Perfectly crispy, with super soft jammy eggplant, with mildly sweet, savory, herby, and fish saucy(?) flavors. I opted to get a yuzu margarita, not on the happy hour menu, but yuzu margarita. YUM! To round it out, I got the deluxe nigiri set and this was SO fabulous. Really delicious, high quality fish, with inventive garnishes, but while still letting the fish itself shine. There was a specialty scallop nigiri on the menu as well with nori-infused French butter. The sushi chef heard me talking about all the things I was trying to choose between and just upgraded the scallop nigiri that comes with the deluxe set to the specialty one, with no added charge (which was a surprise!). Super lovely folks working behind the bar. If I wasn't an out of towner, I could absolutely see myself becoming a regular here. Interior was vibey but in a relaxed, approachable way. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

They said it was one hour wait by the time I got there but they were able to seat me right away due to my reservation. We got seated at the bar which was cool cuz u can see the people making the sushi. It was a pretty causal vibe where you can hang with friends and such. They also had a good amount of seating. Okay now the food... it was really good. Mako scallop 10/10 this was my fave dish of the night. Super super creamy!! It also had avocado inside which helped w the creaminess. If you're by yourself just get the 5 bc it's so rich you might get tired of it. But yes I rly liked this one. Togarashi Chicken Nuggets 7/10: the seasoning was so good but it could be a bit dry some parts. The sauce was okay, it was like a garlic aoili sauce? But def crispy. Crispy tuna rice 6/10: I didn't really like this dish bc it felt like it wasn't spicy? Enough. The rice was crispy yes but the tuna on top just tasted kinda bland. Matcha tiramisu 9/10: I thought it was gonna be on the heavy and sweet side but I thought wrong! It wasn't too sweet and it was pretty airy. However the strawberry sauce wasn't my vibe but the cake itself was really good. I recommend you tell the server you'll put the sauce on yourself in case you don't like it. Hand rolls: Salmon avo 6/10: nothing super special Toro: 8/10 yummy and rich Scallop 6/10: I usually like scallop but this one was kinda like smoked? Idk but I liked the scalllop taste on the maki more. tuna crunch 8/10: the crunch made it pretty good texture wise Overall it was such a great place to have dinner. Our server was also so helpful and gave us his recs and they didn't disappoint. I would def come back if I was in the area!

What to Get/Not to Get/Do: All the food is great. What my complaint would be the poor customer…read moreservice, unfortunately Customer Service: Worst possible experience. I have recently got a gift card at Printer's Row location for my birthday. It clearly is for all their locations. Unfortunately, here at Chinatown's location, when they attempted to scan the card, the staff said it does not work and only works at the Printer's Row location. I ended up calling the Printer's Row location and had the team talk to the manager at the Chinatown location, and the manager at the Chinatown location kept their stance that it does not work, stating Printer's Row location does not know why the gift card does not work at the Chinatown location, and will not make any exceptions to accepting the gift card. Thankfully at the Printer's Row location, they are stating it's due to their system being new as they are a new location, and reason why the gift card is not working at all the locations yet which they are now working on to fix so it does not happen to any other customer moving forward. I just wish the Chinatown location showed some compassion to address the issue and still accommodate the inconvenience instead of us having to go back to the Printer's Row location to use the gift card Price: Approximately $20, not including tip for 2 people. There are lunch specials! Ambience: Indoor Seating Overall: Worst experience, especially to follow up my birthday celebration

The sushi was better than I expected, and portions were larger than I expected as well! There was no menu provided, not even after the meal, so I'm not really sure what anything was, but each course was relatively "safe" - there were no crazy fish we'd never tried or weird concoctions. Limited drink menu, but my husband enjoyed the sake tasting and I stuck with wine. The chef also provided us some of his favorite liquor to do shots with the team lol. As they said: Never drive to Q Sushi! Only complaints were that we didn't get a menu to reference, and sitting at the bar, I watched them wipe the counter with the same rag over and over without cleaning it off or even shaking the bits of rice out of it. Gave me an ick! I'd like to come back here and try the regular menu as well, since the quality was good! Definitely a good place to go for a date night or with a fun-loving small group.

Some other AYCE places start to rate limit our group once they catch on that they're probably going to lose money off of us, but they continued to be prompt and quick with successive plates. Three-- cuts are thick here. I almost got full off of the first round because the salmon and tuna nigiri were surprisingly heftier than expected, and at a good fish to rice ratio at that. They have a good selection of nigiri and rolls. Only con is that the only way to get sashimi is via a sashimi salad on their menu, but that's no issue when the service and variety with everything else is fantastic! The food was exceptional, with every dish beautifully prepared, thoughtfully presented, and full of flavor. The A5 Wagyu Nigiri was out of this world!!! We've been fortunate to dine in many wonderful restaurants around the world, and Miru is definitely one that will stay with us. It wasn't just a great meal; it was an experience that made us feel special and made a beautiful evening with our family even more memorable. Rooftop dinner!! Sushi & lychee martini for the win :)…read more So this is my first time at Miru- Definitely make a reservation! This is at the Saint Regis hotel. I would definitely recommend the crispy rice. The Hamachi roll and the spicy tuna roll. The shrimp fried rice was not as tasty as I would hoped, but they have big shrimps in there, which I loved. The shrimp temporary I could've lived without it. It's just fried shrimp very flaky the sauce it comes with is actually really delicious. We kept it for the remainder of the meal. Get the lychee martini it is divine and super smooth, not like a kick in your face! The ambience here is upscale of course you must dress to impress. They have window seating since the weather wasn't permitting for us to sit on the rooftop. Our waiter was really sweet. He was kind of busy so he was forgetful a little bit but super sweet. And we celebrated my birthday there so he got me a little birthday treat for free. I would come here again for the sushi and lychee martini! The bar looks super cute to just sit out and drink and have a quick Hamachi roll. I'll be back! Separate restrooms of course it's kind of hidden in the back.

My only critique is the pacing. Since the chef already had the fish sliced and prepped, I expected a smoother flow, but the meal took about an hour and a half for 14 pieces of sushi. It felt a bit slow, especially for a lunch service. That said, if you're looking for a reasonably priced omakase with quality fish, this is a solid choice.

Both were great. Our bartenders were lovely and very friendly. Found out this is a Malort tasting room and we were able to sample some different Malorts (the cocoa one was good!). Then we were taken back to our table for dinner. Our server was super friendly as well. Started with the miso soup and crispy tuna bites which were probably my favorite dishes. The taki yoki fritters weren't bad either. We saw people getting omakase, so we ordered a yummy looking piece they were receiving. It was just okay (chutoro truffle). The nigiri was also okay. The tuna piece was the only I really loved. The fish quality wasn't as high as I was expecting. The sushi was decent. A little too much truffle in the spicy blue fin tuna and a little too vegetable forward in the hamachi serrano. All in all, the atmosphere and amazing service pushed this up to a 4 for me.
