Perfectly cooked and…read moreseasoned rice, fish that's been carefully chosen and prepared, and a menu that reflects tradition but also elevates it beyond the mundane. They've put the same level of attention and care into their selection of sakes. Service was warm and friendly, but never pushy or bothersome. They sent me a free dessert when they overheard my wife mention it was my birthday, it was a complete surprise. They also very thoughtfully asked if I'd like them to sing (I did not). That kind of thoughtful service reflects the comfortable, laid back atmosphere they've maintained, a welcome change over many high end sushi establishments that can be too stuffy. If you love sushi, you owe it to yourself to visit Kaido.

Kaido Sushi came as a top sushi recommendation to me from another Yelp Elite and it did not…read moredisappoint. It's located in a strip mall and the inside isn't overly large. One can sit at a table or the main sushi counter. The night I visited, it was rather slow which allowed staff to thoroughly wait on us. I asked a couple of questions about the menu. Our server explained that the most popular rolls were the Garlic Salmon, Mafia, and Hamachi Truffle. Most premium maki come as 8 rolls with the exception of Pink Flower and Tequila which are served as 6. All rolls are made to order with fresh ingredients. I also loved that they offered three options for veggie rolls as it's still my preference! To start, we ordered both the Lychee-tini and Old Fashioned cocktails. They couldn't have been more different in flavor profiles. The Old Fashioned was spirit forward yet smooth. It had a really nice finishing note that directly came from the Japanese Whiskey used. The Lychee-tini was sweeter and had good flavor. I also loved that there was actually a lychee at the bottom of the glass. For mains, my husband got the Mafia and Hamachi Truffle rolls per the staff's recommendation. He explained that the Mafia rolls were more of a mild heat. He preferred the Hamachi Truffle roll as it had a more unique and depth of flavor. I got the Black Garden roll without the jalapeño. I loved the freshness of the rolls and thoroughly enjoyed the veggies mixed with the sauce it had. We both agreed that all rolls tasted like they were made with premium, high quality ingredients. Once we finished, the chef came out to ask how we liked everything. Kaido's service level was amazing with staff clearing plates, refilling water, checking in on how we were doing, and just making sure we had the best dining experience. The details didn't go unnoticed and makes perfect sense why they have such an amazing Yelp score! Highly recommend visiting Kaido Sushi and looking forward to my next visit!

Sushi Edo absolutely lived up to the hype!…read more I went on a Friday around lunchtime with a party of 8, coworkers who would NOT stop raving about this place and my husband, who also acted like this sushi restaurant personally changed his life. Of course, we all know how "you HAVE to try this place!" recommendations can go... so I had to judge for myself. Well... they were right. First off, the restaurant was not crowded at all for a Friday lunch, which was great because they were able to accommodate our large group immediately without any issues. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in and stayed attentive the entire time, constantly refilling drinks and checking on us without being overbearing. Now let's talk food... because apparently our table collectively decided we were preparing for hibernation. We ordered EVERYTHING in sight. Sushi rolls, appetizers, specialty items , if it was on the menu, there's a good chance it somehow ended up on our table. At one point they delivered this massive sushi boat that honestly deserved its own entrance music. It was fantastic. The sushi itself was fresh, flavorful, and generously sized. None of those tiny little "one bite and it disappeared" rolls you get at some places. These were actual decent-sized rolls packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. Every appetizer we tried was delicious too, and you could tell the food was coming out quickly and efficiently because there were several sushi chefs working behind the counter nonstop. One unexpected bonus was the FREE self-serve ice cream. Yes please. My husband spent the entire week talking about how amazing the matcha flavor usually is, but unfortunately they didn't have it when we went. They only had strawberry and vanilla with the swirl option, which honestly was still really good. It's more of a water-based soft serve than creamy dairy ice cream, but it was refreshing and a fun little ending to the meal. The restaurant itself was also very clean and organized, which always makes a difference for me, especially at sushi spots. One thing to keep in mind: they do charge per piece/order of sushi, so if you go in starving like we did and start aggressively pointing at menu items, your bill can climb quickly. If you don't finish them. Overall, Sushi Edo was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Great atmosphere, fresh sushi, fast service, friendly staff, and enough food to make you question your life choices in the best possible way. Definitely earned a 5/5 from me, and I'll absolutely be back. All you can eat lunch was $25/pp can't beat that! Will be back, and check them out please!

There were people at the restaurant, but it was not super crowded so when we ordered our drinks, it took quite a long time to get the first round so we're a little confused about that. After our drinks, we ordered our Nigiri pieces and we waited for quite some time for those to be completed and then we thought to ourselves maybe we should've ordered all of our food together because by the time we get our rolls, it will be like 10 PM at night. The pieces finally came. They were good and then a while after we got our sushi rolls that we ordered for our entrée. They were also very good. The best one was the one that I posted in the pictures. I forgot what it was called, but it was a spicy roll of some sort. The service was slow, but our server was also very nice. The drinks were so so but the price point for the drinks was not bad so I'll give them that. It always looks very nice. Inside in the room is well lit. It's not super dark but it's not super light so it's a nice little date night spot. I would suggest going when it's not busy if you don't wanna wait five hours for your food.

It was pretty busy, probably because there was a food fest happening outside, but we were seated on time. I started with a blackberry mocktail, which was refreshing and not too sweet. For appetizers, we tried the lobster and shishito peppers -- both were delicious! The lobster paired perfectly with the dip, and the peppers had just the right amount of flavor. Unfortunately, service was on the slower side. Our server checked in only occasionally, and the entrées took quite a while to come out. I ordered the teriyaki salmon, which ended up being overcooked and a bit charred on the side, so it wasn't very enjoyable. The couscous and veggies that came with it, however, were really good. Overall, it was a nice spot with great ambiance and appetizers, but the slow service and overcooked entrée left me unsure if I'd come back to this location.

I also really enjoyed picking up a variety of delicious breads from the bakery every single day as well. My favorite was the cream pan; it was super soft, and had a perfect amount of cream filling. There were also a lot of cute breads in the shape of different characters that were also as delicious as they were cute. I was just in the neighborhood and I've been wanting to check Mitsuwa out forever so I figured I'd finally take a look around. So whats here? Plenty of food options! It smells great in here. Walking in and right away there's wagu bento for sale. Friendly workers offering samples of alcohol behind them. Cool food stalls doing classics like yakitori, grilled fish, karaage, katsu don and more! Crepe stand, you bet. Bread shop, absolutely. With the yakisoba bread I've never actually seen for sale! Honestly there's plenty more. There's a grocery store. I didn't spend long in this section but I saw some of my favorite snacks and some premier cuts of fish. A small gatcha section! I didn't see anything I loved but they had some Spy Family stuff. A One Piece Card Game shop. I don't know anything about this particular card game, outside of its obvious relationship to the Anime it's based on. That said, the shop was busy and seemed to have people hanging out and maybe playing the game as well. Not sure if this was a pop-up or not. A small Pop-up section. Currently dedicated to merchandise from Godzilla, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider. A bookshop. Which is under-selling it. It's got English AND Japanese versions of manga. A nice selection of classic stuff and modern hits. Its got plenty of random merchandise and figures too. This spot is a destination on its own for sure. I'll be back with a full paycheck to eat and shop.

I really do treat this as a takeout only place. As usual, my food was ready on time if not early. The roll servings portion is very nice and generous. I do enjoy coming here for the sushi for sure. Will definitely keep on ordering from here.

I especially loved the kimchi chicken rice, although it was more of a flavorful fried rice with a nice spicy kick. The Bears sushi was also a winner, that thick avocado layer and juicy tempura shrimp were incredible. I also tried the Bento Box D - chicken teriyaki, rice, veggies, California rolls, salad, and tofu soup. The teriyaki was bursting with flavor! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The place itself is tiny - only two tables - but the staff were super friendly and attentive. They were really lovely to chat with! One small thing: the guy working there could probably use an apron, as his shirt and pants looked a little food-splattered. And a bit of a clean-up would do wonders - the curtains leading to the kitchen were dusty, and the TVs could use a wipe-down too. Overall, despite the minor cleanliness issues, I would definitely recommend Osaku! The food is incredible, the portions are generous, and the service is great. Give it a try!

This is an adorable sushi/ramen restaurant that appears to be family owned. It's such a cute little space and I saw that it had a lunch menu that I definitely need to try out. I went with my family on a Monday night at around seven and there was only one other patron there. I don't think the word has gotten out yet, but this place is going to get packed when people see and taste the quality of the food. Our waiter was great and super polite. We had great service and our food was timed and served perfectly. We started with edamame and gyoza and everything was outstanding. Super flavorful and very fresh. My son ordered the I Love Salmon sushi combination plate. He said everything was super fresh and delicious. He is quite the foodie and if he says something is good I believe it. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, which was outstanding with big pieces of pork in it and my husband ordered the spicy vegetable Ramen, which lived up to its name! I did like that there were vegetarian options on the menu. This is going to be a place that I go to regularly.
