Love sushi too! The prices are so reasonable and the staff are attentive and friendly! They have great seating by the window or booth for a big outing. I always get the Combo to try three rolls at a set price! I highly recommend this place

One of the best sushi meals I've had recently. My partner and I were blown away by the quality of fish and options. After nearby restaurants on Walnut had 1hr+ waits, we were so hungry and stepped into Sushi Too not expecting anything special. We never really hear people talk about Sushi Too for sushi but after this dinner I have been telling all my friends to check it out. The Toro was so fatty and a big portion. They had a couple sushi specials from a popular Chinese video game (I forgot the name but my partner recognized it) and we ordered the roll with torched wagyu on top. This was the highlight of our meal, it was SO GOOD!! Sometimes you find the best gems accidentally :)

This is hands down the best restaurant experience I have had in Pittsburgh. The entire staff was so unbelievably kind and just happy to have your service. That alone could make a spot that's a 5/10 an 8/10 in my opinion Luckily the food was nowhere near a 5/10, it was fucking awesome. When I posted a story I had a few people message me about how much they loved this spot. I've seen it a bunch of times and never though anything of it My buddy Geno does photos for the app Secret Shopper so he always has insane amounts of food that the app covers and pays for him to shoot. He'll randomly ask me if anything on his schedule sounds good and I picked this. So no they didn't give to us to free, they didn't even know what we were doing until we finished and I told them I was gonna post this and how much I loved it. They couldn't have been more grateful for it and that made me so happy honestly We got an absurd amount of food. Sushi sample. Gold Dragon Roll, Red Dragon Roll,, Sushi Too Special Roll, Spicy Eel Roll, Wagyu Sushi, fried rice, Chicken Yakitorii, Cashu Katsu, Lobster Tail Ramen, Jigoku Ramen and of course mocha All of it awesome. Specifically the sushi too deluxe roll and their chasu katsu I will absolutely be returning. When you go seating is limited. If you plan to go during a typically busy night be prepared to wait. Inside is very clean, very family friendly, not too cold and all are welcomed

Great spot for a casual bite over in Shadyside. Lots of sushi options and super cute spot. I had the Chicken Katsu and it was perfect portions and pretty good.

I've had take out here a few times and was never really super impressed. However this last time I got take out, I was pleasantly surprised. The chirashi bowl and wagyu rolls were a hit. The fish was pretty fresh too. The spicy tuna roll was standard. I definitely want to come back for the chirashi bowl. Also, I have never dined in before, but it does look like a cute spot!

It is sushi and it did not make me sick. Quality is ok. Taste is ok. Service is good. Very open seats, practically empty even at prime dinner time. Good ambiance. Nice for quiet dinner.

Review is for pick up via Uber Eats. Nut free for all dishes I ordered. Food travelled surprisingly well in 25F Pittsburgh weather. Portions are extremely generous and the miso soup was still hot after walking ~15 minutes. We ordered the JD1 Japanese Beef Curry Don, the JD2 Japanese Curry Katsu Don, and thought that might not be enough so we also had the Y2 Fish Yumich. Ended up not touching the Yumich at all (which is kind of like a taco, but wrapped in seaweed) since the portions were so generous on the Don dishes. The curry was a great balance of spice and intensity. The beef was tender. The Katsu was just crispy enough. There were tons of vegetables underneath the meat and curry to mix with rice that was a little watery compared to other curry don I've had, but not overly salty. This made up for the plain rice by letting you mix easily with the curry. Overall, phenomenal value for decent Japanese dishes.

I had no issue with the service but the food.. I'm sorry but that's just not poke bowl.. spicy tuna is minced down to a goo.. iceberg lettuce underneath. For a bill of almost 20$ I wish I had gone to a different restaurant.

The sushi was fresh & delicious. The service was friendly and good. They give you a nice big bottle of water, which was nice on a hot day. They have bubble tea if you like that and will serve them without the bubbles if you're not a bubble tea fan. It's very out of the way, so I doubt we'll return, but we recommend it.

Honestly super impressed by this place!! I am a bit of a sushi connoisseur and I really liked all my food! They have some really fun and cool specialty rolls! And a pretty fair price for the quality! Good stuff!!

Stopped in for a quick lunch today. Got the crazy dragon roll - which was AMAZING!! Also got beef kimchi pot to take home for later - also delish! Very flavorful, little spicy!

The inside is nice and warm and has a great overall relaxing atmosphere. The staff is always so nice and so fast! I was trying to kill some time here before work one day and was expecting lunch to take at least an hour but my sushi and drinks were out in less than eight minutes. The sushi is great and fresh every time I get it I love this place

Since moving to Pittsburgh from a beach area, I have been hesitant to try sushi. Well, I was in the mood and heard Sushi Too is the best in town. We tried the chef's choice for two. There were two different rolls and several sashimi. The starting edemame, can't really mess up. The miso soup was good, as was the homemade ginger salad dressing. The selections were fresh, however next time we will try more of a variety of rolls. The ones served were not enough to fairly judge. We were definitely not impressed with the octopus, which was too chewy. The atmosphere is not worth recommending . We were seated in an upstairs area with no ambiance. I will say the staff were very friendly.

I asked our waiter if the portion size of chirashi was good and he said it's a good size and that they have carry out boxes if I don't finish. Tell me why this was the smallest chirashi I have ever seen anywhere. The slices of fish were thinner than the sliced ginger. If you stacked all of the slices, it would make a normal size of one piece of nigiri. The slice of tuna was so thin, you could see through it, much less taste it. I was still starving after and got the fried chicken nuggets which were a good portion, with good crunch. The sauce on the chicken was devoid of flavor except for the SALT. They were even able to take the chicken flavor away from the meat which is kind of an accomplishment in itself. My friend got the Sichuan pork dumplings and the dumplings were drowning in soy sauce so much so that you couldn't taste the Sichuan spice (if there was any). There's a sushi restaurant nearby that gives me food poisoning every time I eat there and I would have much rather have eaten there than Soba. I would definitely recommend this place to my enemies because they'll leave broke and still hungry.

Novo Asian Food Hall is a collection of Asian food, drinks, and desserts in the Strip District, specifically located in the Terminal building. There are individual restaurants and businesses serving their specific cuisine. There is a bar in the center of the floor, a non-alcoholic drink place, a bakery, and several restaurants. At the time of this visit, there were 4 different food stands, 1 tea/drink stand, 1 bakery stand, and the bar area. There is not specific designated parking for the Food Hall, but there is paid parking all around the Terminal building. Additionally, there are other options for street and paid lot parking throughout the Strip. There are several entrances to Novo - from the Terminal side on Smallman Street, from the back side of the building, and also a side entrance if you are already in the Terminal. The Food Hall is very large, and is easily identified with the signage. We stopped in on this night a little before 8 PM, and it was not too crowded. There were patrons for the restaurants and at the bar, but there were still plenty of seats all around the place. There are high and low top tables all around the dining room, and there is even bar seating in the center. You can sit wherever you please, as it is open seating. There are water pitchers and cups placed near the trash cans that are available for use by anyone in the Hall. On this trip, we purchased food from KungFu Chicken and Tan Vac Lien 2. Everything we had was good! It is nice to be able to mix and match different foods from the various stands to create a meal. I like to try new items from the different stands each time I visit the Food Hall. However, I have found some favorites that I find myself going back to each time (Fishcake Corn Dog!) The prices throughout Novo vary depending on which stand you are at. Some items can be a little pricy, but overall I believe the pricing is fair. A plus of being able to get such a variety of items is that you can share with a group, which may help to keep the cost manageable. Novo has good hours, but not all the stands are always all open at the same time. So, I would double check the place you wish to go will be open during your visit. Overall, I really like Novo Asian Food Hall, both conceptually and in practice. This has been a fun addition to the Strip, and I have enjoyed getting to try lots of different foods and cuisine during my visits. My only critique/note is that I hope that the vacancy of one of the stands can be filled quickly to add even more options and variety. I would recommend stopping here if you are looking for authentic Asian cuisine with a fun, social atmosphere. I look forward to trying even more of the options here during my future visits!

Growing up with home-cooked meals and living near New York Chinatown and Philly Chinatown, we have high standards for good Chinese food. My dad said How Lee has food ON PAR with both Chinatowns and that's a huge statement coming from my dad who would say something good as "not bad". I've read and seen the poor reviews here and I'm convinced that they're just ordering the wrong things. We ordered the CHONGQING FRIED DRY HOT CHICKEN (chicken deep fried), CHENDU FRIED DRY HOT CHICKEN (chicken pan fry), FISH FILET WITH CABBAGE IN PASTE CHILI, SHREDDED PORK WITH DRY TOFU, WEST LAKE MINCED BEEF SOUP, AND MAPO TOFU. The fried dry hot chicken explains itself and is very spicy so be careful! Many items are spicy and/or are cooked with chili oil so look closely at the menu if you want to less/no spicy food. The shredded pork and other stir fried items have great "wok hay", meaning the chef is experienced with the wok and how to maintain it well. Also the west lake minced beef soup is my all time favorite, and what I order when I'm homesick. Cantonese soups tend to be thicker than what people are used to, and it gives a different experience where you "eat" your soup. Whenever I'm craving Chinese food, this is the place to go. Service: The service is also on par with typical Chinese restaurants. Don't be offended if it's not "as friendly as American restaurants", that's just how our culture typically is. Interior: Every time my parents come here when they visit, they wonder why there's a big discrepancy between the food quality and the foot traffic in the restaurant. It has such a good location in Squirrel Hill and there's plenty of foot traffic on the corner of Forbes and Shady. We concluded that they probably should take initiate to market more and to modernize their interior a bit. The seats are taped up showing wear and tear, the decor is sparse and dusty, and their blinds are always closed making the restaurant more fluorescent and could mislead people to think they're closed. I think small changes can lead to big results! tldr; Food 5/5 Service 4/5 Interior 3.5/5

That is not the foundation that one expects for garlic sauce. On the menu, it's referred to as "hot and spicy," but it's nothing of the sort. I also had more than half the vegetables turn out to be soggy celery. There was a respectable amount of shrimp, but after those are gone, the rest of the food went uneaten. Not worth $17.95.

I've been generally impressed by the quality of the sushi. We ordered takeout this time, and everything was extremely well packaged and presented. We also tried the veg farm roll, and that was a nice vegetable forward option. Not life changing, but nicely done. We also opted for a vegetable poke bowl, and that was also good.
