Our old go-to for conveyor belt sushi used to be Sushi Choo Choo, but the last couple of times we went they had sanitation issues so we haven't been back. Sushi Sakura is very nice and clean, and I like the fact that from what I could see, all of the seating is table seating with access to the conveyor belt. At Sushi Choo Choo, half of the seating is bar-style (side by side), which is awkward with parties bigger than two. The tablet ordering for "special" orders was nice, in addition to tracking the orders on the bill. Only rolls, desserts, and some sides are on the belt, at least when we were there for lunch. You have to order even the most basic nigiri, such as maguro or hamachi. That does guarantee that they're made to order rather than leaving you to wonder how long it's been traveling on the belt, and the chef was quick, but then there were only two other parties in the restaurant. Not sure how long it takes when it's busy. It's true that in conventional sushi restaurants you have to wait, but c'mon, conveyor belts are all about immediate gratification! My only other complaint is that descriptions of the rolls don't accompany the dishes on the belt. You kind of have to guess based on rolls you've had before. The ones that are covered in sauce -- good luck figuring those out. It's like sushi roll lottery! read more

I ordered off of Grubhub; very easy to use and I received $5 off! They have lots of menu options. I ordered the Bento Box Lunch Special: Teriyaki Salmon. It has a few side options. I chose the spring roll, house salad and the Cali roll. I also ordered a fire roll which is typically on their revolving sushi bar. (When ordering from the app, there is not much detail about the rolls, only photos. The restaurant's website might be easier if you need more explanation.) Everything was very tasty, just not hot. Came here for the first time so kids could see a sushi "train". Loved that they had so many options on the "train" but kept having to look at the menu to see what it was ... and then it was too late and I had to wait for it to come back. This place is amazing! The sushi is very fresh and they have great options, especially considering it's revolving sushi. They blow Kura out of the water and we have been to Kura 10+ times. Try the Sriracha salmon and garlic yellowtail. They have a great happy hour too where you can get a large glass of wine for $4! The service is good as well and everyone is very friendly. I seriously love this place. I recently tried this place a week back because I really like to eat at revolving sushi bars since you have a much wider selection. The parking is ample and the staff are incredibly friendly to you. They also explain things to you if it's your first time, although it is pretty simple. I liked that I was able to also easily order anything I wanted on the menu if I didn't see it on the belt. The fish tasted pretty fresh although the salmon that day was a bit of a different texture than I am used to. However you truly cannot beat their prices. I was able to eat my fill of sushi and desserts for only 17 dollars which gave me around 20+ pieces of sushi and also some nigarri. I would highly recommend this place for sushi lovers during lunch. The special is also the best time to take advantage of the more interesting flavor combinations. read more

The conveyor belt was interesting and made eating a little more fun. The first time was great. However, the second time at Sushi Sakura was even better. The second round, I decided to order items not offered on the conveyor belt. I was a little hesitant, but why not!? I ordered the Red Clams and Amaebi (sweet shrimp)! I was so glad that I did. Came in on a Wednesday night around 6. There were two other tables occupied otherwise the place was empty. I was seated at the bar by myself. Pepsi products and no Diet Coke. Diet Pepsi isn't an option (because eww). So I went for iced tea. Sushi plates come by and you grab what you want. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm where all plates are $2. That's awesome. I came in at 5:50 so I got 10 minutes worth of time to eat at that price. I had three plates. The rest I paid regular price for. Each plate is between $2-$4.50. So not expensive either way at anytime. The seaweed salad was fine. The sushi was okay. This kind of place better with more people as the sushi isn't rotating all around for long periods of time. It's more freshly made. They use a lot of Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce which is gross on sushi. Not sure why they do that. Rolls were uninspired and not exciting or anything noteworthy. It was cheap. $25 for essentially whatever I wanted, but they just didn't have stuff that I was excited by, nothing spicy, nothing with variety. It was all California rolls with a bit of tuna on top or some variation like that. Too bad. It was awkward being the only guy there after the two tables left. I was seated right by the hostess/busser station so I just sat and heard the two ladies whispering to one another while I ate. I've been to other revolving sushi places I like a lot more. I've been to this spot 2 times and I loved it. This place is amazing with kind staff members and they gave excellent social distancing rules and the food is always delicious and fresh. I've ordered Uber eats from them and the food tasted amazing and was packaged well. I will totally be coming again and this is by far my favorite sushi place. I recommend anyone to come check this place out they have a variety of delicious options and they have sesame balls which are my favorite and before I could only get them at Chinese buffets but I'm glad that now I can get them anytime I want. Moving sushi and asian food place. Great staff and environment as well as the moving asian food and sushi on the rail so interesting. Make sure to go when busy as the food may be on the moving rail for who knows how long and some foods that should be warm are cold. Great Idea and again great customer service. Not impressed with the amount of same dishes on the moving rail when few people are in there....chefs should judge different dishes when not busy. Great environment and fresh sushi. Although my kids don't like sushi, they do enjoy the kids tenders. This allows our family to enjoy Sushi Sakura. The wait staff is so kind and attentive. I've been coming here since it opened. It's always been a nice,clean place to eat. The sushi is good for the price. It seems though the past couple of times I've been in, I've had some issues. Last week I came in and wanted my stamp card stamped after my friend and I finished happy hour. This has never been an issue before but that day I was told it couldn't be stamped during happy hour. Ok. Today I went in solo for happy hour and asked for a booth. They refused! They said booths were reserved for 2 or more people. I can understand that if the restaurant wasn't COMPLETELY EMPTY(see picture). The sushi selection this day was limited at best. To be honest I'll probably be back just for the cheap sushi but there's another rotating sushi place opening soon on the other side of I10 and I'll probably start going there when it opens. So our first visit here is probably going to be our last. Happy hour is also $2.50, not $2.00. That doesn't really bother me though, but it would be nice if the website was updated. However, their service is terrible as the server took a while getting our drinks, chopsticks, and the ginger/wasabi. By the time they came, I was already almost done eating. The food that we ordered also took longer and by the time they did come, it was obvious it had been recently thawed. Wanted to try a new sushi place and definitely recommend this place very much. It was a different experience having the sushi on a rotating belt and can grab the sushi as you see it. The plates are colored so you know exactly what you will be paying for each plate you grab. Their happy hour menu is awesome because every plate you grab is only $2 no matter the color. Now, we all want the more expensive pieces of sushi, and they truly are good; but will tack on the price very very quickly, The solution? Their happy hour! Their happy hour not only makes this place affordable, it makes it outright cheap (my girlfriend and I ate there for 22 dollars). The sushi itself was pretty good, though not as good as say Top Sushi and Izakaya Hi, BUT, the conveyor belt itself is a really cool thing to see! We used to go to a place called Oishi when my wife and I lived in Thailand, and this place brought back those great memories.
