    Revolving sushi

The food was delicious, I would come back again if I could with my friends! The ambience was perfect and spectacular

I miss the spring branch location everyday. I love this place! You cannot beat the price and quality combination here. The sushi is really good and I love the fact that you can get smaller portions so you can try different things. I highly suggest this place for sushi, lovers and beginners alike. The service is quick because of the revolver and the ambiance is casual so no need to get fancy.

Sushi Sakura is definitely my go to sushi place in Katy. Service is good and quick. Have good vegetarian rolls available as well! Come check it out!

Ever year, around a week before Christmas, we come here for what we call "sushi and lights". First, we hit up this awesome sushi spot during happy hour. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the conveyor belt keeps the good times rolling. Smashed 49 plates between six of us. They even have a menu for sushi if you want a certain type of happy hour sushi that's not on the belt. From there, we go to the light park and enjoy the Christmas lights in a near-food coma state of euphoria. It's a wonderful spot and the happy-hour selection is can't miss.

I went in during lunch and the place was empty. This is a conveyor belt style restaurant where you can choose the sushi you want as it goes by, then you are billed by the color of the plate. The plate color prices are clearly marked on the wall. They also have a menu that you can order from. I ordered the lunch Beef Bento box and grabbed some sushi from the belt. The place is tidy and well laid out. The server was very friendly and attentive. The sushi was as just fair though. So on the food I have to only give it 3 stars. There are so many really good sushi places in the area.

I like coming here because it's closer to my home and they have pretty good vegetarian rolls! I really like Jade rolls and pickle me roll!! Also, miso soup is pretty good! I like seaweed salad as well but if you get Jade rolls or pickle me rolls, it comes with it! I'll definitely come back again! Keep up the good service and delicious vibe! Cheers

Color coded plates for menu options. We tried all the things!!

The location was perfect with plenty of parking. The staff was very courteous. The conveyor belt for the food choices was fun and exciting. Lots of choices for great sushi options. If you order from the kiosk at the table, the items are delivered by an express belt. You sit in a booth so you are pretty self-contained. The plates are priced by color codes so no surprises when the bill arrives. Try everything at least once because all the dishes were delicious. I believe they have a happy hour on certain days with half off on sushi. A really great and fun date night location.

I came in here during lunch break, and I was surprised to see that it was a revolving sushi restaurant. I came in at the right time as it was happy hour and everything was the same price. I got about 6 plates of sushi and my total came out to about $21 with tip included so that wasn't so bad. The server wasn't so attentive or not really paying attention, as I clicked the call server button on the tablet in front of me, but he didn't come to me until I stood up to call him over for my receipt. I had also run out of water and he did not come back to my area, only to sit someone down and even then I was not acknowledged. Mind you there were only 3 tables occupied. The sushi was pretty good as far as revolving sushi places go. It's kind of hard to pinpoint which specialty is which as they aren't labeled, at some point it all started to taste the same. It's good if you want to sit down and immediately eat and want a quick bite.

    The walls look like this.

The quality of the sushi is really good. It's easy to take off the conveyor belt (as opposed to Kura). And they had a good selection/variety of foods. I will say they can do better on communication. They don't explain whether the booths are also at the conveor belt or if it's from the menu (and you can't see the booths from the front), but they presented the option. But that's more of an issue for first-timers. They also don't explain how it works or what you're supposed to do for the plates. It's sort of explained in the menu. You have to take the plate and top off the belt. Here are my ratings for the dishes. They also have cool wall designs. Seaweed Salad5/5 Can't really mess this up.. Cali Roll 5/5 Good texture Peppered Tuna 5/5 Good quality Spicy Tuna 5/5 Great taste Salmon and Avocado roll 4/5 Kind of bland Tiramisu 5/5 Tastes so good

They didn't put soy sauce, wasabi, ginger and chopsticks. How do you think it is? I don't recommend bad service.

If the employees behave badly, they might get the Sak. But me, I just wanna get the Sakura. This is actually my favourite revolving sushi restaurant. There's a reason for all the good reviews (have a good day man - sorry just saying bye to my friend), it actually tastes pretty delicious. Underrated, surprising, and I highly recommend coming during happy hour, because you'll save a lot of money and get a lot of sushi and thoroughly enjoy everything here, as I do, I hope anyway, and while it's not top of the line gourmet, neither is anything in Houston, it tastes pretty damn good to me. If it were in Cali or NY or Boston I'd give it 4 because it's not as good or as cheap as my faves there - but on a good day it's close, and by Houston standards it's a 5 for both price (on happy hour) and taste. And definitely service too.

The tiniest, most expensive, and saddest nigiri on Earth. Avoid ordering..

Wagyu or not, I've tried different beef dishes, usually the limited time specials, and they've often been tough with gristle or connective tissue. I took a photo of one where one piece had half the beef from the other piece I picked up because it was not cut well. Oh well, stick to the fish I suppose. One annoyance was that the mobile checkout wasn't working, or rather it displayed the price and had a place to put your name and email, but no way to input a payment method. I've done this before in several Kura Sushi spots and was even able to login to get rewards, so not sure why it was so hard here. So I called a server and it took forever to make a payment. I might've spent 15-20 minutes just trying to pay and get out of here.

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

I had my birthday lunch there a few weeks ago and everything was excellent! I don't know what happened today. We had to repeatedly ask for the dishes we ordered. I even had to get up to find our server. We were there for an hour before the first item we ordered (from the kitchen) arrived at our table! It took so long we had to get it to go. We waited so long to get our shumai that I didn't have time to order my favorite udon. What we did get (2 sushi bar rolls) in a timely manner was excellent (Crazy roll). When my sister finally got her Philly roll she said it was good. My husband got his 2 pieces of kani sushi about 45 minutes in. The restaurant was not crazy busy so the only thing I can figure happened was that the kitchen lost our order. People that came in after us were served long before us (sushi and kitchen orders). Our server told us she gave us a discount ($5) for the issues. (They're having a $5 off special right now for everyone so no real compensation for the bad experience...) With our current financial situation, we are limiting our restaurant meals and to pay $19.99 per person for the three of us was supposed to be a treat. Sadly, it was not. We are severely regretting our decision to stop in for lunch at Sushi 9 today.

After about 5 minutes, I finally sat down and was given a tablet and instructions on how to order. Right away, I noticed that a few of the items I wanted to order were out of stock, but I was able to find other items to try. I ordered the agedashi tofu first and it was just two small pieces of tofu in an oversized bowl of dashi. It was delicious but definitely a waste of dash and I wish there had been more tofu. The tsukune was so mushy that it make me worry that it was undercooked so I didn't eat anymore. I didn't send it back though I wish I had. It was inedible. Ordering from a touch screen at the table is also doable, in which a plate will come flying to the table. Waiter robots are deployed for drinks, napkins, etc. Human interaction is almost not even necessary. The quality of the food is subpar.
