It was awesome because they deserve it! And when it's busy, I always have a good feeling that the fish is going to be fresh. The servers are always so nice, the quality never fails, and the price is so fair for AYCE sushi. The place isn't rowdy, and it's a nice time to go out for dinner! Of course, there's a super delicious and reliable menu. My go-to is the volcano roll and nigiri pieces (salmon, tuna, and tamago). Rainbow roll has fresh and yummy tuna, salmon, and avocado. We like the Godzilla rolls- probably the least healthy option, fried with cream cheese. But so good with the spicy tuna! The dining area is nice- simple and clean with cozy booths on the sides and tables and chairs in the center; we just haven't stayed there to eat in a while. Their online ordering system is straightforward, and everything is priced reasonably. On a busy weekend night, you should expect the order to take a little longer than what the online ordering suggests. (40 minutes instead of 20-30, nothing too crazy!) Service is always friendly. Came on a Sunday evening and the place was POPPIN! A crowd where most restaurants would put you on a 45 minute waitlist, we were sat within 2. Super delicious and reliable menu. They have an all-you-can-eat option that's actually worth it. My dad ALWAYS gets it, though it's never an absurd amount of food. Just the right amount-- when you factor in my stealing of a couple bites. The magic roll and St Louis roll are my go-tos, but you can't really go wrong. Especially for the prices. Inside was smaller than I remember, but still plenty of seating and didn't feel cramped. Pretty busy for later on a Saturday evening. Staff was friendly. My server was upbeat and didn't mind my questions I ordered vegetable tempura and a shrimp tempura roll. The vegetable tempura had good flavor and was super hot but I wished the pieces would have been smaller and thinner. They were really thick slices and the broccoli piece was huge. They brought out old sushi that was sweating, tasted bad, and I had diarrhea for two following days after. Do not recommend.

It has been awhile since my last visit but today my daughter and I decided to stop in for a couple of apps and a few rolls. The service was very good but the all you can eat selections were not as I had remembered. I remember a larger selection of rolls. Unfortunately, the all you can eat is now very limited to just a few basic rolls. In the past the lunch crowds were much larger, many times the restaurant was full. The owner or manager (little Asian man) is extremely rude!!! (Seems like other reviews say the same thing) He needs a course on customer service. He's lucky the sushi is good and the prices are somewhat affordable or no one would ever come back. I feel bad for his staff, if he yells at the customers, I can only imagine how he treats the poor workers. The prices continue to go up while the quality goes down. They are putting less and less fish in the rolls every time I go back. AYCE, good luck getting the waiters to come back to see if you want to re-order which I'm sure is part of their plan. Seemingly unassuming from the outside-- the ambiance is really comfortable once you arrive inside the restaurant. As for the sushi, the quality and price are amazing. We ordered two sweet potato rolls, edamame and fried rice. $3.75 per sweet potato roll?? That's a deal. They were huge too, and tasted amazing with the perfect ratio of sweet potato to tempura. They accommodated nicely to our vegan diet, but I would say the only negative is that they didn't have tofu for the fried rice. Stopped here for dinner few nights ago and was extremely disappointed with everything. We got seated and our waiter rushed us through everything. We noticed they were short staffed so we didn't think much of it and ended up just being patient. Our waiter took our order and we ended up waiting more than a hour to get our food... we got one entree 40 mins later and it was horrible it tasted like it's been sitting out the noodles were way over cooked and the steak just didn't taste right and all of the veggies as well. After waiting for so long and not getting a refill at all we decided to leave we couldn't wait any longer and all the kids were hungry! Then we told them we don't want to do the all you can eat and insisted we just pay for what we ate which was one entree.. then the waiter told us our total was $60 and our jaws dropped we were extremely annoyed at this point so we asked him for what? We never got any sushi we ordered and he took both slips and we only got one entree out of all the things we ordered. He then realized he had never gotten us our sushi or any of the other orders once we mentioned it to him at the point we told them that this was a horrible experience for the first time here and I been here few times already. Then the manager I'm guessing comes up to us starts acting up talking crazy and yelling at us then we explained everything and he got mad that we weren't going to pay full , but for what though we never gotten our food? Starts pointing his finger at us and picks up the menu book as if he was going to do something walks back to the kitchen cussing at us in front of all his guests I was in shock I never witnessed this kind of behavior extremely inappropriate and there were all kids there. So he told us to leave and we were more than happy to NEVER coming back! But now looking at all these reviews not the first time he's acted this way towards his guests!!! Okay so to start off this review I'm going to describe the curb appeal. Walking up to this restaurant you can already tell it's low key and a hole in the wall type of place. Coming inside, the place is not very well lit I guess you could say its "low key". Seating I would say is placed well you're not on top of other people dining in the restaurant given the size is a little small which is great. Moving forward. On the Menu they have a wide variety of appetizers to choose from. This particular dining experience I chose to go with the Miso soup and Crab Rangoon which both I will rate highly. The soup came out at the perfect temperature and the Crab Rangoon had the crunchy exterior and the soft interior just the way I like it. Moving on to the main entree after deciding from their many options of delicious sushi rolls i went with the shrimp tempura roll. In the roll i decided to remove the avocado and cucumber. I was definitely pleased with my visit here. The taste and freshness of my food was pleasant. The service was quick and the drinks were on refill I can't complain. I will be coming here again. Try it out you won't regret it. Keep in mind you do get what you pay for, these are definitely affordable good quality rolls. read more

It was a lot of trouble for just decent food. I had to call in the order instead of using the Yelp-Grubhub link because my phone keeps freezing. It was really confusing trying to get the staffer's attention long enough to order. When I got there, there was a big clot of teenagers in the doorway, and once I got inside, it took quite awhile once again for the right person to appear at the register, have a similar confusing session with another person calling in an order, look at the bags sitting on the counter, call out my phone number, hand me my food, and take my payment. It was a pretty chaotic environment whether due to staff shortages or inefficient staff usage. Considering how long the food had been sitting (and that was only partly the stuff I've just described, I'd already been running late), the veggie tempura was fine. The St. Louis roll was good but not $13 good. Maybe if they hadn't promised me mango in it and then not delivered, I would feel better about it. It never got better AND I had to bus my table so my girls had room to eat. All you can eat....joke. That means they would have to bring you more....But they never come back lol. Both times I got a California roll - the first time was pretty good, but the second time the avocado was too mushy which ruined the roll. Went here last night and we got seated. Took a while for the waiter to come over to get our drinks. I think he had no clue what he was doing. Management is extremely poor this time around. People had been waiting a while before anyone got their food. I seen pickup people waiting more than 45 mins. We waited over an hour and still had not got 1 piece of sushi. It was past 9pm we were starving. We got there before 8pm and it was getting ridiculous. He never refilled our drinks. We order the all you can eat sushi and a order of chicken fried rice. We still never got a piece, a roll or a drink refill. So at this point we told him we wanted to leave. He tells us at the checkout our bill was $60... $60 for what we got no damn sushi. The waiter and owner started talking in their language about us. The waiter thought he gave us sushi we said no and then the look on his face showed he remembered he didn't give us any sushi. Then he said we needed to pay for the appetizers which were supposed to be included in the all you can eat and said it was $35 I said how, I said that's ridiculous I ain't paying that. I said you didn't give us a damn roll of sushi. I said we waited more than a hour and got no sushi, there was no sign on the door that the business was very understaffed and had no management. The owner has no self control or good customer service. I said if you would have had a sign on the door saying short staffed or the waiter could have said it will be a wait then okay, but nobody said nothing. The owner started saying something really fast I heard fucking and then I started cussing at him. He said you pissing me off. Then he kept pointing his finger in my face, so I got more mad and we were yelling back and fourth. He took the bill book and opened it up like he was going to throw it our face and he stopped him self before he threw it at me and I heard him say get out and don't come back. So we left. I've never seen someone act like that. It all happened so fast. All I seen was a young girl working hard but the rest seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Everyone was waiting FOREVER for their food. It was getting very close to closing. The inside was so cold. The vent above us was caked with dust. I see the people picking up their orders were waiting about long as us. Pickup is supposed to be faster. Either they need some serious help with management/owner or it needs to be closed. I will never be back by my own choice because of the nasty service and the insane wait time. This isn't a 5 star fancy restaurant to have to wait more than an hour and to be treated bad.
