What an unexpected gem this place is! We were looking for a sushi place open on Thanksgiving day and this is one of the only places we could find open that also delivered. Everything arrived neatly organized and the right temperature. The staples like the miso soup and Crab Rangoon were delicious as were the rolls. We tried classics like the spicy tuna and some highly rated unconventional ones like the Tempura Asparagus roll. My favorite was the deep fried (and huge) Tokyo Fantasy Roll. Needless to say, this may be our new go to spot for takeout sushi! read more

Got takeout from here and gotta say was pretty impressed. Came packed in an organized way that still looked pretty good. I got the sweet potato roll and Yummie Roll. Sweet potato had a nice crunchy feel. Textures just work. Great aftertaste of the potato after being initially greeted by the sauce strewn on top.. Yummie rolls cream cheese, crab and avocado complement well in a symphony of flavor. Was a pretty big roll I almost think it alone could fill you up. Only knock was that it was a bit pricey, could probably be close to as satisfied with some of the cheaper rolls they have. Will definitely order again from here. read more

I've had this sushi a few times prior to making my review. Every time the food has been fresh, prompt and properly prepared. The price is inline with other sushi restaurants. You cannot order at the counter. Once I started ordering online it was a snap. 2 things I could recommend.... A paper take home menu (call me old) and images on the website. Keep up the good work. Diamond in the rough for sure! I'm not gonna lie, I was not sure about this place at first. The name and not the location per se but when I went to pick up my order the neon sign was off, almost looked closed? Hmmm.... The place was small, takeout only clearly, the floor could have used a mopping, some lights and like even the most basic decor/a poster/big menu board would have made it more inviting. All that said? I dont care now. This place is FANTASTIC! I was skeptical, lets be clear this isn't Sado lol, but if you want some just really decent quality but not bougie straightforward takeout sushi this place has you covered and at a great price and with easy convenient fast takeout. This place reminds me of what Ai Sushi downtown USED to be like, or similar to Cafe Mochi but at a much cheaper price, honestly better menu options too, and better quality by far than the last few times I ordered from either of those places. Don't judge a book by its cover, please let's make this place successful I don't want it to go away!! read more

There's really not too much I can write. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri prices are fair. The rolls are creatively comparable to Cafe Mochi and Sushi Ai. And the flavors were on point. I would say their food tastes as good as Sushi Ai, and slightly better than Cafe Mochi. Can't speak to either the service or ambiance, as I have only ordered delivery. read more

DO NOT judge a book by its cover. This place doesn't look like much from the outside (or on the inside) but the sushi is killer. Super well priced as well. Let me warn you, their rolls are much bigger than most places as well...so while I could normally put down close to 3, I struggled with 2. Of course I had to order some gyoza as well! Total hidden gem. Very unassuming and really surprised me. I've eaten at every sushi/ramen spot in the city and this is by far the best. Owner/chef is very nice and the food is even nicer. I've found that most places these days offer "classic rolls" that are small and clearly inferior quality-wise to the special rolls menu. Not this place. Even the California roll was incredibly good (and big). The ramen is also awesome. Up there with some of the best spots I've had across the country. I haven't left a review on Yelp in a very long time, but my experience here really compelled me to leave one here. read more

We were looking for sake, and they had a decent selection of both wine and sake, but nothing particularly exciting. We decided to try the Hana white peach sake, which was a pleasant surprise. The food menus were in a state of disrepair, with staples holding them together. We started with some appetizers, including pork gyoza, crab rangoon, and spicy edamame. The pork gyoza was delicious, but the crab rangoon was quite crunchy and flakey with not much flavor. The spicy edamame tasted like it had been soaked in Franks' Hot sauce or Sriracha sauce, which I wasn't a fan of. I wish I had ordered them regular instead. For sushi, I opted for a shrimp tempura roll and a rainbow roll, both of which satisfied my craving. Overall, it was a decent experience for the price, but nothing stands out that would bring me back again and again like other places. I dropped in on a Saturday evening and ordered the **Shroomed Up** ramen, and it was a ramen masterclass in a bowl. The broth managed to be incredibly rich and deeply savory-sweet all at once, without ever feeling heavy. It was loaded with thick, substantial slabs of mushrooms, tender-cooked bok choy, and the noodles were the star of the show--thick and perfectly cooked to that ideal sweet spot where they aren't too chewy but have zero mushiness. Even with a line stretching out the door when we arrived, the wait wasn't tedious, and we reached the counter reasonably fast. The ordering process is standard counter service, but the staff member who took our order was incredibly nice, polite, and helpful, practically predicting my questions as I was looking over the menu. The fried chicken shumai I were fantastic, but I would not recommend the rice shumai. The more typical "Chinese" food is okay, the lemon chicken was quite good. But I would recommend not wasting your time with it unless you have super picky eaters. The other stuff is way better.

I usually google Best Ramen in "so-and-so city" wherever I am I've never traveled outside of the United States, but I've tried Ramen in about 25 states and hands-down. This was probably the best Ramen I've ever had and probably the best experience customer service I've ever had at a Ramen place. I tried their signature Tonkotsu Ramen to go, I walked in to pick up the Roman to go and was met really friendly faces. All the staff greeted me all at once looked at me and was smiling ear to ear. It was great , I got back to the hotel and ate it and it was a once in a lifetime experience!, best ramen I've ever had in fact it was so good I went back the very next day and got their fried chicken ramen and it was just as fantastic! Such a cute place!…read more The food was all delicious! As an appetizer, we tried mustard cucumber, which was cold and super freshing with a burst of pickled flavor. Definitely whetted our appetite. For entrees, our group got the mentaiko cream udon, volcano fried rice, tonkatsu, and dan dan noodles. The mentaiko cream udon was creamy but not too thick or heavy. You can just slightly taste the roe that the sauce is flavored with, and I loved that. The prawns were also super juicy and fresh, and the topped nori added the perfect mild savory, umami bite. Everyone else enjoyed what they got as well. Service was also super friendly, quick, and attentive. Definitely will be back!

They were busy, and they had to-go orders lined up at the counter. It was awesome because they deserve it! And when it's busy, I always have a good feeling that the fish is going to be fresh. The servers are always so nice, the quality never fails, and the price is so fair for AYCE sushi. The place isn't rowdy, and it's a nice time to go out for dinner! Of course, there's a super delicious and reliable menu. My go-to is the volcano roll and nigiri pieces (salmon, tuna, and tamago). On average, I can stomach about 25 pieces here, and of course, order some apps!

Rainbow roll has fresh and yummy tuna, salmon, and avocado. We like the Godzilla rolls- probably the least healthy option, fried with cream cheese. But so good with the spicy tuna! The dining area is nice- simple and clean with cozy booths on the sides and tables and chairs in the center; we just haven't stayed there to eat in a while. Their online ordering system is straightforward, and everything is priced reasonably. On a busy weekend night, you should expect the order to take a little longer than what the online ordering suggests. (40 minutes instead of 20-30, nothing too crazy!) Service is always friendly. Compared to other pricier spots, this is great for a casual date night or family dinner.

They also have a sashimi option if you want to pay a little more. The seaweed salad was really good and the portion was generous. Edamame is nothing crazy but it's simple and great for sharing. The takoyaki is a must order, one order is 2 pieces. If you've been burned by AYCE spots that are stingy with fish and just load up with rice, this place is not like that which I love. We also got the stir fry udon with shrimp and you can taste the smokiness from the hibachi which made it stand out. For dessert we tried the fried cheesecake because why not, and it tastes like a warm baked custard. Very sweet but still good. The interior feels modernly renovated with nice bright lighting. The staff was super friendly. My only real note is the bathroom needs some serious work. It's a single person bathroom which is fine, but the floor tiles were cracking and coming up and I spotted some spiders in there, so make it quick. Sushi quality was fresh and solid overall. I thought that was nice to have since that means you can eat more sashimi without being too full from the rice. Overall, I do enjoy the sashimi a lot. The options are limited but pretty solid. The hibachi and appetizers were hits and misses. The udon stirfried with scallop I had today was a little bland. Service was pretty quick. One thing to note that any dish with noodles will be pretty big so don't go too crazy when you order them. Even just 1 hibachi can be pretty filling. Make sure you share it with other people or pace yourself. I was so full today. This place is not the best but I do like the sashimi portion so I may come back just for it.

The chefs are always hard at work in the kitchen and you can tell everything is made with love. I had never had any issues here with the food nor the staff. However, I had a different experience in April. My friend made a reservation for his birthday today. It was the groups' first time coming and they were all very excited. We called multiple times to make sure a group of 12 was okay. We are all aware that not every restaurant is suitable for such a big group, but were told it was not a problem. As soon as we sat down, we could tell one of the servers was very annoyed at the group. From the start, he would answer with an attitude, harshly put the plates on the table, and was outright disrespectful when we asked about a friend's plate that never arrived. This person ended up leaving and going to eat somewhere else. I was a server before and understand that big groups can be frustrating. Nevertheless, there is no excuse to treat a table so rudely when they have been nothing but nice and understanding. The food was great, but we were all extremely dissapointed, specially me since I've been here numerous times with no problem. I had never seen this server before, so I'm not sure if it was an off day for him or what. Most people said they would not come back, which made me very sad since it's good food. Thankfully, the female servers were all very nice and accomodating after the entire situation. I highly recommend Sushi Koi for their rolls. However, do not come in big groups.
