One of our favourite SUShi place. Weve been ordering from this place for years. Quality was Good, from Bento box, sashimi to party tray. The Old Delivery Guy was so nice too. Highly recommended

The set sushi for 2 is pretty good. Small nigiri with thin slice of fish on top of small ball of rice. We have a party of three, so besides that we order an order of maki too. Miso soup and salad were served before the sushi rolls. Love the torched salmon and variety of fish in the set. Service wasn't good. Waited for a while to get the attention of the waitress to come over to place our order. There were only two other tables and maybe they have more takeout orders, I don't know. We seated for at least 15 mins and I had to get up to ask her to come take our order. Food came out pretty quick. Overall, sushi didn't wow me . Presentation was ok. If you r in north York area, and craving for sushi. Price is pretty ok. So maybe give this a try.

They used to offer All You Can Eat before COVID-19 and it was amazing, a bit pricey though. But now, they only offer a la carte. The waiting staff are very friendly and accommodating. We ordered different roles and sashimi and they were nice enough to decorate and serve it in a boat. We even got complimentary green tea ice cream.

[Review was based on experience weeks ago] Came here to celebrate an anniversary and we both do not regret it at all! We came just after they opened and so we were the first ones in. Right when we seated, we mass-ordered all the sushi you see in the pic and just waited haha. When the food came, I was astonished by the presentation. It was beautifully plated and using wooden platters really makes their presentation stand out compared to other AYCE spots. My partner and I devoured everything and we were just able to finish it without any leftovers. The sushi was so delicious, they also gave us a good portion of cuts. Would I come back? HECK YEA!!

It's been many years since I've been to Sushi One. The variety of food offerings has increased, but so has the price. It's an okay option in the Yonge/Sheppard area. I got to the sushi/sashimi set. PSSM - 36 pcs (14 Sashimi, 10 Sushi, 12 Maki). The sashimi was a bit on the higher end, the sushi is the regular rolls. It was great presentation, everything served on a wooden board. But it was not very filling. They said it was for 2 people, but it was probably more like 1.5. The set came with the standard salad and miso soup.

One of our go to sushi spots in north York. We used to come for AYCE sushi as it is walking distance from us but AYCE is no longer available due to the pandemic. Our favourite things to order here are their torch pressed salmon sushi topped with slices of jalapeño and their sushi/sashimi small boat (great value, especially for 2 people which is usually more than we can finish.) Best tip here is to order ahead for takeout and save 10% if paying cash.

Oh, how I miss the All-You-Can-Eat option here. Alas, it was not meant to last. But I have no problem eating here, because the quality is just that great! What I like about Sushi One: 1. Outstanding service. Never has there been a time when I haven't received amazing service here, both in friendliness and promptness. 2. Quality of sushi is AMAZING! Really fresh fish. You can tell just from the plumpness of the fish, texture, and colour. 3. Consistent presentation and quality. A lot of places have "good days" and "bad days". Not Sushi One. I used to come here once or twice a week with my boyfriend for over a year, before COVID-19 broke out. Each experience was great, and I have never left feeling disappointed or upset. 4. They don't overfill the sushi and rolls with rice! This is EXTREMELY important for me at a sushi place, ESPECIALLY one where they (used to) offer AYCE. They only used a very thin layer of rice, which I really appreciated. You can taste the fish more, and you're not overfilling yourself on rice! You might feel daunted by the price since AYCE is no longer an option, but if you're looking for a special dinner and want good sushi, I highly recommend this restaurant. What I recommend: 1. The sea urchin. I'm not sure if they only have it in certain months - I can't remember when I ate it last here. But sea urchin was really fresh and very tasty! They really brought out the flavour really well. 2. The premium sashimi. This is a chef-selected assortment of premium sashimi. You get a few more expensive fish, and I feel that it's well worth your money.

The competition is tough with so many amazing restaurants in the area but Sushi One can put up a good battle even through the pandemic! They do not offer AYCE anymore but they still do their a la carte menu which is still amazing! They have a great affordable lunch menu! The staff here are very nice and the menu has a wide variety of fresh fish that is displayed very beautifully on a wooden board!

An amazing place if you're looking for AYCE options. A friend and I came here for catch up dinner. We called ahead because we weren't sure if they did AYCE and how busy it would be. Thursday dinner, not busy at all which was nice for us since we weren't looking to be rushed. It's pretty old school ayce where you write your order on a sheet of paper. I'm not going to go into details about what we ordered. There's too many options and varieties. I will however say everything looked beautiful on top of tasting quite delicious. The employees are quite friendly and if you're not too sure about anything, they'll be able to help.

All you can eat. Compared to other all you can eat. The quality and taste are great. They take time to prepare. The plat is presented very well.

I didnt do the AYCE but amazing either way. I ordered the white dragon which is a scallop sushi roll slightly grilled. Sooo good! Check this place out as a group and share their specialty sushis. Great staff!

Finally a good sushi place in the area. Sashimi quality is good and sushi rolls are great. I usually don't like any sushi places in this whole area because they're bad quality but this place is legit. Will be my go-to sushi place since i live in the area.

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

It felt comfortable, not too loud, and easy to settle into for a slow dinner. We ordered a mix of small plates to share, and everything came out looking nicely put together. The aburi-style salmon sushi was one of the highlights for me.. lightly seared, with a soft texture and just enough flavor on top without being overwhelming. The tuna tataki was also fresh and clean, simple but well done. Some of the fried dishes leaned a bit richer with the creamy sauces, but they were still enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent.
