I had the 2 times tuna, lucky charmer and the Alaskan. It was very good. I've taken pictures of the menu at this time and hopefully it helps others.

I love that this spot is right across the street from my home. I know I just left a review not long ago. But wanted to share these two new ones I just tried. Super yummy! The couple that owns the place is amazing. Thanks for having a quality sushi spot in our neighborhood.

Best sushi in North San Diego. The owners are actually japanese couple that are very sweet like their sushi rice. You judge 2 things in sushi spot. 1st freshness of sushi 2nd the rice The fish is very fresh here and good quality. The rice is not mushy. Perfect amount of rice. Just the right amount of sweetness

Wednesday evening, We ordered sushi from here online . It was 35 minutes time frame till the order was ready . There was no wait . Inside it appears they have the inside set up for only to go orders . I've never been here before so I wasn't sure if that was typical. We ordered the tempura shrimp . Little oily but crispy perfectly seasoned , shrimp was cooked perfect . We also ordered salmon and shrimp rolls . My son loved them . Prices were very reasonable too! We will definitely try this restaurant again !

I thought the rolls were bland despite them being a combo of good ingredients or sauced up (crunch salmon and the dynamite roll). The best thing was the baked dynamite roll. Maybe I'm a bit biased but if the best thing at sushi place includes baked cheese, it's not giving quality ingredients or talent for the cuisine category. The biggest letdown was my sushi plate. The fish didn't have much flavor and the texture was off. It almost seemed like someone rinsed the pieces of fish thoroughly under cold water. Also the 3 salads it came with were NOT fresh tasting and you could tell they'd been sitting all day (and not in a 'oh it marinating' good way). Service was also lacking, but it was a busy Saturday night. The ambiance is a 10 out of 10. I'll give it that. Plus they had plum wine which not many places do, and my mother in law loves.

We ordered and within 20 minutes got our foods. Quick, organized service. Quality of foods was spectacular. We all really liked the items we chose and the portions were great. I will say, the FM Roll was really good. I haven't really tried steak on seafood sushi rolls before so this was a pleasant surprise. The beef was cooked to perfection and overall was so tasty. All the other rolls were fresh, flavorful, and generally very good. The menu has a lot of options so it's a great place to go for big parties or parties with various palates. It's hard to put my finger on it, but something about the sushi here (especially when paired with a little bit of soy sauce) just had an excellent taste that I'm not sure I've had anywhere else. I really liked the "Ninja & Samurai" roll which is pretty simple, but another family member liked the Aloha roll (which is fried). That being said there are a LOT of options, and the basic California Rolls are quite inexpensive. Josh was very friendly and even made an attempt to learn our names, and he really helped tie off a nice meal with good service. Definitely somewhere I look forward to coming to again!

This time I ordered the agedashi tofu, ikura nigiri, and a dragon roll. The agedashi tofu was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, soaking up that savory broth so well. The ikura nigiri was super fresh -- bright, briny, and buttery in that way that just pops when you bite into it. And the dragon roll? So good. Creamy, flavorful, and balanced -- not overly sauced, just done right. My boyfriend got the Alaskan roll and the Korean ramen, and both were great. The ramen was comforting and flavorful, and the Alaskan roll was fresh and satisfying. Also, our server is always hilarious. It makes the whole experience even better when you're laughing throughout dinner. Between the consistently good food and the friendly, funny service, it's easy to see why we keep coming back. Waraii will always be one of our go-to spots in Vista.
