Sushi Miroku is an absolute hit! I can honestly say this may be one of the best Sushi spots in the south suburbs. They offer both all you can eat sushi and orders by the roll. The prices go hand and hand with the quality of the food and the service. It was a little busy that afternoon so it took a little time for the waiter to come back and check on us. Overall I had a great time and I do plan to come back some day.

It's a cute little spot. Went on a double date with a childhood friend and her man. You get seated. They ask what you want. In all fairness, we were not SURE we were gonna do sushi so we did have to wait for our ginger and wasabi. But I feel like once that was determined that should've been served at our table right away. But we had to wait. Fine. We also had to wait for our drinks and really just to get our server's attention. And he wasn't busy with other tables but on his phone. This easily could've been a four star review had the service been just SLIGHTLY better. We order the AYCE sushi. Worth it. The appetizers and the sushi. All delicious. But be advised, if you don't finish your food, there will be an extra charge. We did NOT have the issue cuz we are EATERS. The bathrooms definitely didn't scream clean and could use some attention. There is a lot for parking.

It was pretty good. The place was nice. The atmosphere was fun and joyful. The AYCE deal is great too! The food was delicious too. The service was fast too. The staff definitely know what they're doing. 10/10 would come back again!

Went there today for a retirement party. Nando our server was great. Our group got so many different items from bento boxes, crab boil and sushi. I was very happy with the freshness and quality. We also got to take advantage of happy hour on Sunday - we began there at noon with $6 cocktails. Yum. Looking forward to the next visit

Let me open up this review by saying Yasemin was an amazing server, and if you go to Miroku ask for her. In the Midwest, sushi is tough to do right. Sushi Miroku does a pretty good job with the taste, freshness of the fish, and presentation. The takoyaki also has chunks of octopus, which you can actually taste, which is a big plus. Where Miroku misses the 5-star hit comes from the ambiance. While our direct server was great, there was something off about the staff that made it feel a bit rushed to be in and out while eating. Aside from that, I would still recommend this spot to the Tinley locals.

We came for dinner around 4:30 p.m. Staff was warm and welcoming. We were also asked if we preferred the all-you-can-eat-can-eat or regular menu. We chose the regular menu, which is extensive. We love their decor, and they have great music playing in the background. I don't remember the name of our waitress but she was so kind and attentive. Hubby ordered the strawberry margarita, and I ordered the Mai Tai. We both enjoyed our drinks. Hubby ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi combo. It comes with mushroom soup and salad. I ordered the sushi regular platter: 9 pieces with a tuna roll. My entree came with a choice of salad or soup. I chose the salad. The salad was fresh, and hubby said that his soup was different from the miso soup that is usually served, but he liked it. Hubby enjoyed his meal and would order it again. The sushi was extremely fresh and delicious. I also love their presentation. We will definitely come back and try other entrees. Hopefully, we will have room for dessert. If you're at Brookside Marketplace and hungry after shopping, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Stopped in on a Tuesday for lunch and we were seated was right away. The service was friendly, the restaurant was very clean and all the food was good. The lunch price was $22 for all you can eat - and the menu was quite large. We will be back!

So this restaurant that I drove all the way from Chicago to Tinley Park Illinois was just ok. It's a restaurant spot I discovered on a Facebook post that someone said for $20 which is partially true but they didn't tell all the truth that that's only on the weekdays that the $20 or $22 buffet occurs. I came here on a Sunday so now it's even expensive like $39 . I compare it to another similar restaurant called Sushi Taku in Chicago in which there's two locations. First off, with all the different versions of sushi and fusion sushi I expected that they would put pictures of what you're eating. Sushi Taku shows pictures. This place does not and you basically I told the server well suppose I don't like it and you have to pay for a la carte which is the same with Sushi Taku but at least you could see what you're ordering before you order so you don't waste food. Secondly, the freshness of the sushi was not as fresh as Sushi Taku. It wasn't bad but it didn't look like it tasted super fresh and I've been to Japan as well where it's much fresher just like Sushi Taku. Also when you order sushi they are very literal on that paper that you have to fill out on quantity. Sushi Taku if you order one salmon and sushi it's really 4 pieces. This place give small portions and not generous. Their tempura was not as good as Sushi Taku .Especially the shrimp tempura. It looks like a small shrimp. Likewise, with their mushroom tempura. The only two differences that they didn't have at Sushi Taku is a alligator bites or "gator" bites which was just a "meh" okay. That's something you would see in Cajun or Creole cuisine down in New Orleans that they had a lot of. Here they serve but here in a Sushi place but I thought there would do a twist on how it's served. It's okay if you want exotic meat to eat Gator is one that they do have and then they had the mushroom scallions soup in which I didn't want to have traditional miso soup as I already eat so much of that when I was younger. It just doesn't excite me like it used to eat Miso soup. The other disappointment is if you order sashimi it's $10 more even on a weekend so I'm already spending $33 plus gratitude. At least they gave fair warning on their menu but it's like kind of hidden in the fine print. Ambience is pretty amusing having artificial Sakura trees or Cherry blossom trees as their motto. I finished off the dessert with green tea mocha ice cream. I didn't really care for the cheesecake because I'm not a big fan of cheesecake at all. So it doesn't surprise me with the dessert limitations similar to Sushi Taku in Logan square Chicago and perhaps Bucktown Chicago. I would probably come back for the $20 menus on the weekdays now that I know about that but for the weekends it's not worth the price. Three stars quality wise. It's not bad but it's not like a something I would drive all the way to Chicago and do cartwheels and backflips of excitement. I'd have to go here by chance again when I have free time when I am down in Tinley Park or Orland Park. Service was okay.

The AYCE (All You Can Eat) Menu - Back page for Dinner
    Marco N.

Came in on a slow Sunday night close to the holidays. Sat at the bar area, and had the AYCE (All You Can Eat) menu which for a huge dinner menu is a great deal for $33 I believe. Had some hot tea, miso soup, house salad to start. The Lava roll was awesome, also had the Chicago and Amazing Tuna Salad Roll. All very yummy. Several large rooms to handle a large volume of customers, fairly large bar area with two large TV screens. Staff was very friendly and spoke to one of the managers who highlighted their recent opening and efforts to get quality right and staff properly trained. Which appears to be working well. I will be back to try more of the menu!

Ok so new review cuz different experience. First, new carpaccio dish is delicious. Large slices of…read moreassorted very fresh fish with a light delightful sauce and nice garnishes. I ended up dipping my sashimi pieces in the sauce. The baked mussels are always yummy. Seaweed salad is a huge portion, way more than expected so hopefully they don't charge if you don't finish it by yourself! Tempura veggies were good but somehow the tempura shrimp seemed almost like the frozen ones you get at the grocery store, but the usual super light tempura, but still good. Dragon roll is my favorite though it could use more eel than avocado on top. Only yucky thing was Spicy 2 in 1c which menu says is spicy tuna, salmon & avocado inside, wrapped in soybean paper with chili sauce but instead came with avocado on top with a TON of plain mayo under the licensure sauce. I think it's in a previous photo but honestly this time it was drenched and really, I hate plain mayo so I tried to scrape it off but it was overwhelming & had to lose the avocado when I scraped it off so I just couldn't eat it. The fish seemed to have been cut with a lot of tempura flake also so it wasn't even luscious like it should be with just fish and spicy mayo, and there was quite a lot of rice too, so it was very bland. The server Satya was SUPER nice & apologetic, offered to redo without mayo, but I was just kind of done by then; he was great all around l, nit his fault. So I got my delightful tempura banana and called it a day. Suggestion is to clearly state what's on/in the rolls to avoid misunderstanding. The menu photo does not show mayo on top at all. Finally, note that Sat & Sun are dinner prices for AYCE even at lunch which I didn't know until I sat down but was already set for sushi so paid the $42 with tax/tip for lunch and felt kinda unhappy. I didn't get that much so didn't feel with it. Quality, ambiance, and service are still good and I do recommend with these caveats.

We started…read morewith the gyoza, edamame, and ordered a brown sugar boba latte, which were all perfectly fine and the best part of the meal. All just, okay. Unfortunately, the sushi missed the mark for us. The California roll had massive chunks of avocado, making it a bit gross to eat texture wise, and we ended up leaving it unfinished. I also ordered the dragon roll, but only ate 4 of the 10 pieces because it was quite chewy and had a really odd flavor profile that I just didn't enjoy. On a positive note, our waiter was incredible. He was super attentive, kind, and excellent at his job. However, the overall vibe and interior weren't very welcoming, and the women's bathroom was incredibly dark.

I dug in and enjoyed every morsel. It was well prepared, fresh, and delicious. I also indulged in a couple bottles of their smoothies, blueberry with avocado, banana, bananas, cane sugar, and a strawberry banana with the same cane sugar also vegan friendly. I originally learned of this place when I worked in Tinley Park a couple years ago and drove all the way from Chicago today to go there to treat myself. As usual, I was greeted with kindness by Chris, who was working the register at the time. The ambience is surreal, it provides a quiet place to enjoy your food, read, work or if you need to just reflect on life. This is one of my favorites and although they're not close to Chicago, it's worth the drive! I was a little disappointed that they no longer have my avocado rolls. I really enjoyed those but everything is still good. I wish I could get more vegan options on the menu but overall, Avocado Theory is a 12 out of 10.

The restaurant is located in what appeared to be a very safe and affluent area, with plenty of parking available and a nice park nearby that's perfect for a walk after dinner. The prices are definitely on the higher end, but the food was excellent. We especially loved the tuna roll and eel roll. Both tasted incredibly fresh; honestly, it felt like the chef had just caught the fish moments before preparing it. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. One minor complaint was the water. It was served without ice and tasted somewhat bland. I'm not sure if it was heavily filtered or just sitting at room temperature, but it was lukewarm and not particularly refreshing. Our waitress was fantastic: very attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the meal. The only service issue we encountered was that the busser cleared one of our plates before we had completely finished eating, which made us feel a little rushed. Overall, it was a great dining experience with outstanding food, excellent service, and a sophisticated atmosphere. While the prices are high, the quality of the sushi makes it well worth considering for a special occasion.

After eating here 7 times now, I can say this place is pretty amazing. It gets better every time we come in. Opening weeks here were pretty rough- huge crowds, service was slow, etc, everything you'd expect from a popular new joint in a town that has needed a sushi restaurant. Every time I have been in since, though, it gets better and better. The waitstaff are now seasoned and can handle busy nights with ease. Bartenders make awesome and unique cocktails. The main draw is the cuisine, though. It's Korean/Japanese fusion. Beyond sushi, they have some exceptional Korean-inspired dishes. Even my super finicky daughters find stuff on the menu they love. My wife and sons love all the sushi, while I like to bounce around and try anything interesting and new. The ambience is super cool, and the servers know their stuff. It's so fantastic to have a place like this in downtown Frankfort. While we love our longtime restaurants, it's great having new stuff to enjoy- especially food as unique and creative as this. 5 well-deserved stars.
