Food was amazing. And plentiful. The service was terrific. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall and non descript. The reviews were great...that is why we pulled in. I would recommend to any sushi lover.

It's been a while since I've been to Ichiban, but I must say it's still delicious and the prices are still reasonable. I'm so happy they are still around and still have lunch specials. I got 3 sushi rolls for $15 total that's unheard of these days. Love this place!

Tried this sushi place near my parent's house (different from our regular place) and enjoyed it! I can't remember if we liked the happy or honey roll (one was a little fishy) but we also enjoyed the spicy 2 in 1. Would order again.

Such a wonderful experience! We were greeted so warmly by everyone working there and our server took the time to help my mother understand the various choices since she has a very strict diet and the recommendations were FANTASTIC! Their food is so flavorful and the portions are very good for the price point. The restaurant had a nice variety of seating options and was simple, but beautifully decorated. We absolutely will return again!

This place apparently does not do all you can eat anymore - at least not at 3 pm. on a Monday. We also arrived too late for the lunch specials. Upon entry, I noticed it smelled a little funky. I felt like our server was not in the best of moods. For the regular rolls, I did feel like portions were good. However, sushi was a little warm for my liking. This place was, unfortunately, a miss for me.

We've been ordering a lot from them during the pandemic for pickup, but only recently got a chance to dine-in. Delightful experience all around, definitely a gem! Honey roll is a favorite!

Stopped in on whim with my friends on a girls' trip. We were seated quickly and the service was fantastic. My friend has a serious allergy to pineapple and once we told the waitress she was amazing at making sure pineapple was not anywhere near her food. The food was fantastic and drinks were very tasty although it isn't located in "Chicago-Chicago" we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would eat here again.

Sushi was fresh and really good. Second order took a little longer than expected, but overall still a great experience. I'd come back.

We have dined-in, used carry out, and even catered for Christmas parties. We loved this place, until my most recent experience. On Tuesday, June 23, I wanted sushi and panang curry for my birthday dinner. It's a 30 minute drive from my house so 1 hour round trip to get carry out. I love their food so I was willing to make the trip - I ordered $160+ worth of food for a family of 5. Pick up was no problem. However, the overall quality of the food was TERRIBLE - super bland with all of the sushi rolls and even my fave roll from there, Godzilla was just AWFUL - didn't taste anything like it normally does. Three-fourths of the order was sushi so that was super disappointing. My daughters' chow mein didn't have any noodles - it was just straight vegetables. She wouldn't eat it bc she wanted the noodles. The panang curry was the only thing that tasted good, but that was only a small part of the order. I was able to speak to the manager (Peg) on the phone a couple days later and explained to her my experience and she basically acted like I was lying, making the whole thing up. That I was supposed to save the food we didn't eat in a cooler and bring it back to the restaurant that day to get some form of refund. That was the policy. Not only that, she also said their recipe has not changed nor had anyone else complain about the food that day. I explained that we already threw out the food so that wouldn't be feasible and she basically said then there was nothing she could do and that she had to follow this policy. I'm sorry but I'm not driving an hour to return the bad food that a restaurant served me - 1. How is that sanitary? 2. Why are you calling a loyal long time customer basically a liar? 3. What kind of customer service doesn't offer anything to a customer that had a bad experience at your restaurant? She didn't seem to care when I told her that MY FAMILY AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK! I couldn't believe that's how a manager would treat a customer especially one that had been coming back for many years and recommends it to others. NEVER AGAIN! BOTTOM LINE: RUN, this place has definitely gone downhill and their customer service is the worse I've ever seen. The only way to save this place is fire that manager and treat your customers better

The place was close to our hotel which was even better after exploring Chicago. When we go here we checked in and were asked to stand on the side and we will be seated. It did take awhile to get seated where other folks who didn't have reservations were getting seated before us. A hostess went to our kids menu on the table and then we waited some more. Finally a male host came and sat us. I think that was like a 15/20 wait. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. She was cool to talk to and attentive to our needs this evening. My two friends and I ordered the Korean fried chicken baos, two rolls of sushi (Panda Roll and Sake to Me), and Pad Thai to share. The Korean fried chicken baos were my favorite dish. The crispy chicken was glazed in a sweet and flavorful sauce, and each bao was also stuffed with fresh veggies that provided additional crunch. My favorite sushi roll was the Panda Roll because it included shrimp tempura and was drizzled with a combo of sweet and spicy sauces. The Sake to Me roll was also good, but I could have used some soy sauce to mix with the wasabi for additional flavor. The pad Thai had solid flavor, and I appreciated how it did not skimp on the protein. While I thought it would be jarring to consume such a wide variety of cuisines in a single meal, it was actually fun to share and try a little bit of everything.
