My mom has raved over the martinis at Thithi's so I had to check it out for myself when I came in town to visit. We went on a Friday night and it was not too busy although the parking lot was full (both sides are on small and tight). Our party of 4 was seated quickly and the table attendants brought us water. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to note spice levels and the way certain items were prepared which was appreciated. I ordered the peachy tequila martini and it was great. It was filled to the brim and strong so I definitely got my money's worth. For food, we ordered the Vietnamese wings, thai chicken fried rice, beef lover, and garlic chicken. The beef lover was really heavy on the vegetables and I would've liked more meat but it was tasty. I know I will be back for sure.

I went to a private celebration which was located in one of Thithi's party rooms and it was my first time eating there. The food and drinks were phenomenal! Staff was attentive, efficient and friendly. Some guests requested gluten free and the restaurant definitely had those options. The place is large enough for small parties and very large parties. I had a pomegranate drink (amazing) and appetizers to start (egg rolls and green bean tempura). Dinner: a variety of dishes was served family style. I loved every dish! We could choose from one or each dish with Shrimp, Chicken or Beef. Highly recommended! Excellent food, drinks, vibes and service! Cheers!~

Generally, I think the food here is overpriced. I've said this before and that still holds true. The location and the taste do not add up to the prices of the dishes. We started with the calamari. It was bland. The batter was not crispy and the slices were too thick and so very chewy. I had the massaman curry. I enjoyed it. It had heat and the sweetness from the pineapples. One thing that really baffled me was how much curry came with the dish in comparison to the small side of rice. I needed more rice. Lastly, we shared a slice of chocolate cake and really enjoyed it. It was definitely decadent so a little goes a long way. My sister had the pad see-ew. I tried it and I've had much better. It was missing something. Similarly, my dad had the sesame chicken. He was expecting a sweet tamarind sauce but it missed the mark for him. He added sweet and sour to it to get the desired result. Overall, I give 3/5.

Man oh man. I love a good neighborhood hotspot and this one ranks near the top for me. I'm not from Chicago, but this place will be a must visit whenever I'm in town now. I ordered the red curry and my friend ordered the Pad Woon Sen. We also shared some veggie egg rolls. The martini menu was the star of the show. It took me a second to decide but I ended up choosing the green tea martini and the tajin mango martini. The selection is huge! Both were superb! The atmosphere is small and intimate. You can tell locals love it here. Definitely anxious to go back! P

Thi Thi's is such a casual, comfortable spot to hang with your loved ones! Their extensive martini has something for everyone created with any liqueur you enjoy. The bartender is phenomenal. My favorites are the Italicus and Lychee. Their food is good and always comes out of the kitchen hot! I can always count on them for a good drink and fresh food.

I liked the pad Thai and had a dirty martini was good. They didn't have the right liquor for my friend's cocktail which is odd for a place known for a good martini.

A childhood friend kept talking up Thithi's, and so did several other friends, so I dropped in. It was a busy spot for an early Sunday evening. The hostess was very accommodating with getting me a seat. The server was very good with the ordering and keeping my water filled. The tempura calamari was good, but still a little short on flavor. The tempura reminded me of the crispy part of funnel cakes. It wasn't the delicate crispy to true tempura. The sweet and spicy sauce that accompanied it for dipping helped some. I ordered tom yum shrimp that was more substantial than I expected. Not bad. The soup was very sweet. There was no sour, which is a main part of tom yum soup. I think the cook used cane sugar instead of palm sugar. Palm sugar isn't overpowering and saccharine like what was in the tom yum. The seafood panang was a highlight. They do not conserve on the seafood, so it was full of calamari, shrimp, scallops, and mussels. I had ordered the dish spicy. It came to the table mild. The dishes are too sweet for my liking. The recipes may be pre-made, so it's not like I can specify no sugar as if dishes are cooked to order. I also noticed that everything is twice the price of what you'd pay at many other Thai restaurants. The three dishes I ordered -- with water only for my beverage -- were $25 shy of $100.

This is my third time here. The food is amazing got the shrimp fried rice. The lobster was dry with the fried rice. Seafood and chicken egg rolls were delicious very crunchy. Waitress was very friendly. They have two parking lots but it's small which makes you find parking a little far. You do have to make reservations they get kind of busy but the food doesn't take long to come out.

The service was fast and proper. They would keep our water glasses filled when empty and our server was nice and kind. The alcoholic drink were fantastic and the presentation was beautiful . The food was okay. I feel like every restaurant should keep salt and pepper on the table because the food was bland and but the presentation was nice and elegant. Definitely represents French Asian cuisine. Would I come back? Only when the pay check hit because this place is expensive.

It was self seating when you enter in. My friend and I got a table and they quickly brought over the menus. We ordered crab Rangoon, chicken wings, classic bang mi, seafood pho, pho with everything, Thai ice tea and mango summer pop. Out of everything we ate, we couldn't agree on the rating. There's certain preferences so let's break it down. Crab Rangoon was on the sweeter side. Chicken wing was seasoned properly but the sauce on the side is also a sweet and spicy mix. Banh mi... I'm going to have to give this a pass because the sauce was unnecessary and made the whole sandwich red. It was screaming red40. Phos - average. It's about the same you'll get in Chinatown so unless you want to make the drive, this will do the job. Noodles were soft, broth was seasoned. Drinks- my Thai tea and the other table's Thai tea are not identical.. this means that they add as much milk as they want but it changes the taste. Mine was too much milk and it wasn't the orange Thai tea color. My friend said her drink was enjoyable and I saw that a lot of people ordered the same drink. Overall. I would come back if I was in the area. It's nice inside, noodles were hot, and service was quick.

I ordered to go and my sandwich was ready in less than 10 minutes. It was good and the veggies tasted fresh. Some of the meat was a bit chewy, but the sandwich was large and the bread was fresh. Well, it is kind of tucked away in a desolate area on Canal Street, but still. One of my good friends suggested we check this place out after hearing about it from a co-workers. The only thing I know about Vietnamese cuisine is pho (which for some insane reason, I've never had) and banh mi, which I tried (and loved) while visiting my fave cuz in the Bay. . I arrived early to this very large, beautifully decorated venue on a Tuesday night and was intrigued by the set-up. One side was all tables, the other side was tables and multiple gigantic screened tvs playing Family Feud and the World Cup games. Kinda crazy. I chose to sit on the big screen side while waiting for my date. He called to say he was running late and to get the order started. I had been waiting a bit, so i caught the eye of one of the workers, who came right over. He was so friendly and accommodating and answered all questions. I ordered the green Thai kumquat iced tea, spring rolls and the chicken wings he highly suggested. He rushed off to place the order. Moments later, a couple of distinguished gents walked in and sat at a huge round table cater-corner from me and soon thereafter the nice man who took my order sat down with them. I'm assuming he was the owner for obvious reasons. I gained more respect for this establishment because customer service goes a very long way with me and he obviously cared about that. Our server, a very friendly young lady, brought my drink out and I was surprised to see that it was served in what looked like a sippy cup, with a cartoon design on the lid. Kinda weird seeing as I am an adult, but it was a tasty beverage, nonetheless. My friend showed up as the spring rolls and chicken wings came out. We devoured both, which were delicious and then placed our orders. I went with lobster noodles and my friend got the beef tenderloin pho. Even though my entree presentation wasn't the best, it was a very tasty dish to both of us. The beef tenderloin pho was definitely the star of the show! The broth was fragrant and flavorful and the beef was tender beyond measure. I'm an avid ramen fan but this pho definitely had my attention and I can't wait to try more. Ocean Bar and Grill is such a cute, quirky place that caters to date night diners, groups and families. They were all in there that night and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I know I did. I'll definitely be taking my daughter when she comes home from her summer internship!
