Black Woman Owned Business! The service was very accommodating, very friendly. The ambience of this place is very clean very intimate. We had the three main classic dishes. The golden reserve, the Korean, fried chicken, and the garlic butter steak with bourbon chicken. All of these dishes come with fried vegetables and a side of white rice, fried rice or noodles. For each of these, we got all three. My favorite was the golden reserve! All of the seafood that is within the golden reserve is fried catfish, fried salmon, and fried shrimp all perfectly fried to perfection. I had this with the side of noodles and vegetables. Topped with garlic butter, chefs kiss. All full of flavor, satisfyingly savory. The Korean fried chicken was also a stellar dish that stood out to me. Each flavor of the wings had layers of flavor. They were perfectly juicy. My favorite was the spicy wings. My mom liked the strawberry wings. The garlic butter, steak and bourbon chicken was pretty good. Mixing Sweet n Savory together. On a bed of rice. The steak was nice and juicy. The bourbon chicken reminded me of Mandarin chicken. Very nostalgic and delicious. You can't go wrong ordering anything from here because they cook it gourmet for you. It is fresh. All of the meats are fresh and perfectly seasoned. You can taste the natural flavors of each dish. This is the place you come to when you want lunch and dinner. The portion sizes are well worth the price. They will have a dine in experience opening up soon they stated. Next time I come, I will definitely be dining in.

Quick to go Hibachi restaurant on the south side of Chicago. I got the hibachi noodles and steak dinner. The noodles were delicious but the steak was dry and tough. The portion size is huge and could feed three people if needed. I think the price point in fine for what Is being offered. Loved the design of the restaurant and hope they do well!

Herbachi was a great addition to the community. My experience was an amazing one. The staff and the owner were all pleasant and welcoming to us.. The food was sooo delicious and tasty. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food provided. I would give Herbachi a 10/10.

I saw this restaurant on social media and had to try it. I ordered the combo that included six wings, fried vegetable rice, and noodles. The wings had a mix of all the flavors: mango, watermelon, and keylime. All were very tasty. The rice and noodles were a hit too. I can honestly say the food is really good. And you get a lot; I had leftovers for a meal the next day. The service was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely go back.

There was some good along with some bad. Bad was my food was lukewarm & the price. Paid damn near $40 just for takeout. The good was undeniably the fried rice. I think the secret it a substantial amount of lawrys seasoning but regardless it was impressive. Strawberry wings need to be fried hard but they were pretty decent. Shrimp was well seasoned however they don't stand out in any way at all.

Delicious large portions tender juicy and very flavorful. Dining area available (2 small table for 2) however no public restrooms so more like a takeout spot

Fried Korean Wings (Mango) with garlic steak, noodles, rice and veggies (kale, broccoli, red & green bell peppers and onions).

This was my first time trying Herbachi (found it on Yelp) and it did not disappoint. I ordered the fried mango wings with noodles and rice and added garlic steak. I did like the wings better than the steak, but all the food was really good. It's a good portion of food for the price. The service was great, took about 15 mins or so for my carryout. The restaurant itself is cozy, there are a few tables to eat with light music playing. Definitely recommend!

    Salmon and Shrimp bowl

Got the salmon and shrimp bowl. It was amazing, ended up being 3 meals, it's quite large. One bowl can definitely serve two. They seem to still be developing a flow with FOH, this place has great potential to become a staple. I would recommend some lighting out front when I arrived around 6:30 I assumed they were closed because it was dark out front. This is a great spot can't wait to see what's to come.

    Bourbon chicken, noodles and vegetables

Went yesterday for the 1st time and order the Bourbon chicken and noodles (pictured), returned today and ordered the salmon and shrimp. 12 out of 10! Professional and friendly staff, clean atmosphere, amazingly tasteful cuisine, large portion. I highly recommend this black-woman owned restaurant. Tell everybody you know...we support Chef Marissa Terry and her vision of black excellence on the 9!

    Gangnam Shrimp w/fried rice l

I had a taste for Hibachi so I decided to give Herbachi a try. Overall I had a good experience. I was greeted with a smile upon entering the restaurant and the staff were helpful and pleasant. I ordered two Hibachi Bowls and both came with a can pop and yum yum sauce. I got one with noodles and Garlic steak and the other with fried rice and Gangnam grilled shrimp. I'm not a fan of teriyaki so I got both made without sauce. When I asked about the sauce I was offered to have them made with a different sauce which I declined. Garlic butter is good enough for me. The owner was present and gave me cups of teriyaki and bourbon sauces to try along with cuogarlic butter. The veggies are more in line with stir fry than hibachi (IMO) but still good. The shrimp are a good size and portion. I believe the steak was a skirt steak. I enjoyed the flavors of both bowls. The portion sizes are decent.

Mixed steamed vegetables, Asian Strawberry wings, and Asian fried rib tips.

The place was close to our hotel which was even better after exploring Chicago. When we go here we checked in and were asked to stand on the side and we will be seated. It did take awhile to get seated where other folks who didn't have reservations were getting seated before us. A hostess went to our kids menu on the table and then we waited some more. Finally a male host came and sat us. I think that was like a 15/20 wait. Our waitress was friendly and hospitable. She was cool to talk to and attentive to our needs this evening. We got the crispy rice wagyu and those were delicious. We also got the yuzo ribeye and black cod and those were really good. The kids loved the ribeye!!! I tried to get the lollipops but they sold out but I heard they are a great hit too. The noise level was very loud. It was so loud due to a party next to us who had a large gathering and were drinking heavily. Other parties left and the other side of the restaurant was still full with other folks but none around this loud group. Anyways - food wise and the waitress service was great. I was surprised and enjoyed out Food and visit that evening.

My two friends and I ordered the Korean fried chicken baos, two rolls of sushi (Panda Roll and Sake to Me), and Pad Thai to share. The Korean fried chicken baos were my favorite dish. The crispy chicken was glazed in a sweet and flavorful sauce, and each bao was also stuffed with fresh veggies that provided additional crunch. My favorite sushi roll was the Panda Roll because it included shrimp tempura and was drizzled with a combo of sweet and spicy sauces. The Sake to Me roll was also good, but I could have used some soy sauce to mix with the wasabi for additional flavor. The pad Thai had solid flavor, and I appreciated how it did not skimp on the protein. While I thought it would be jarring to consume such a wide variety of cuisines in a single meal, it was actually fun to share and try a little bit of everything.

The vibe is speakeasy-ish; the entrance is off the street in an alleyway but the interior is very nice, low light, and would be fun for a date night! The staff were attentive and very friendly. My friend got some shots, which were surprisingly good given they were kind of sweet, and I ordered the "mystic lamp" cocktail ($16) which was VERY memorable to me as someone that loves floral drinks -- it was very floral, slightly fruity, and had a lovely chunk of lychee it came with which was delicious! The drink was decent sized too; I've been charged a lot more for much less drink at other speakeasies (those of which I don't plan to visit again any time soon haha). In my opinion, this spot has the perfect combo of great drinks, nice ambiance, cool speakeasy-vibes, but also cheerfulness given the tiki-theme inside. Would definitely rec a visit to anyone visiting Chicago who likes cool bars!

I was excited for the experience having heard how busy it gets, blah blah. These positive reviewers need to seek out other tiki bars. After you negotiate the alley entrance and go down dangerously dark stairs, you are met with crazy boring decor. I kept thinking there had to be more right? The whole point of a tiki bar is to strike a mood, but hanging a very few polynesian masks on the wall, putting up a grass facade over the bar and dressing the servers in vaguely polynesian outfits is sad. I've seen private tiki bars at people's homes that are more exciting. Add to this a comparably boring music selection played far too loud over boomy lo-fi speakers and you'll wonder what's going on here. So what about the food and drink? Completely uninspired for anyone who's had more than a mai tai before in their life. About a dozen extremely common drink choices is all you get!! No specials, that's it. When I asked if this was the whole cocktail menu, the server said it was but they have a full bar so you can get anything you want. Well, I could get that service at just about any bar in the world, so big deal. Maybe it would be better if you sat at the bar and chatted up the bartender. One could also go taste their rum selections and other cocktails in the Bamboo Room, but I hate that kind of elitist nonsense. That's never been what tiki bars were about. The drinks we sampled were okay at best. Even the namesake 3 Dots and A Dash cocktail was lackluster and used cheap cherries for the dots instead of classic Luxardos. (If you know, you know) The appetizers were okay, but way overpriced. 5 tiny spring rolls for $18. Come on guys, enough already. I'd rather go to the bar at the Polynesian Hotel at Disney than return here. This place is a hard pass.

Sambal catfish with Cole slaw and cavitappi noodles in cheese sauce. The fish and cole slaw were very tasty. The noodles were okay. Koren Fried Chicken with pickles, corn bread, mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken was fried hard, it was a whole chicken but it was just okay in flavor. The pickle was a little weird. Mashed potatoes and gravy while I suspect they are powdered potatoes were decent on flavor. Pass on the corn bread. Lobster rangoon was pretty good. Honey Chipotle wings had a tasty sweet sauce. Fried green tomatoes was inedible, the green was too green leaving them hard, difficult to slice and bitter so we sent them back. Service was excellent, they took them away without a word and didn't charge us. Saigon noodles, best bite of the night! Tender beef, flavorful sauce, scallions and perfectly cooked noodles. Yum. Shrimp spring rolls. Just okay. Quesibirria eggrolls with tomato basil sauce, second best bite of the night. Tender meat, innovative sauce. Perfect eggroll shell. Grenada 9, spring fever, hibiscus margarita, all tasty! Lastly, there was a band.
