Seoul Taco x 3LP is here! I loved the salt and pepper rice box they have, but I wish they gave the option to split the different sides and not just give you rice. The tacos were alright - the sauce overpowers the meat. The service was decent. You order on a kiosk, and they call your number. It's near UChicago as well, so there's always a lot of students coming in. The ambiance is pretty nice. It has the Seoul taco theme from the other restaurants with the colorful speakers.
I came here on a Wednesday after the lunch rush. I love that they have kiosk to self order. They play some good old school r&b which I can appreciate. The esthetic is like graffiti steer art with colorful refurbished boomboxes. Something about it feels very nostalgic. My Gogi bowl was delicious, although if I could I'd add more steak. But perhaps it was the right portion considering its lunch. Can't forget the Diet Coke, they have self serve fountain machines.
First time at the Seoul Taco/ 3LP collaboration The original fried chicken sandwich was delicious; super moist and crispy. Our kids loved the beef tacos. I think the crab Rangoon are slightly better at the Bridgeport location of 3LP. The KFC sandwich was way too sweet for me. Also the three tables we tried were sticky. I know this review seems negative but we will definitely come back for that original sandwich.

Food was good and fresh and kinda spicy, service was okay it wasn't too busy when I got there at least, and the ambiance was ciche they had old radios painted and screwed into the back and around the tables. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who is sensitive to spicy food.
This is the first store collaboration with Seoul Taco & 3 Little Pigs. They've got both menu's in one space. As you enter there is a tablet to order at the counter. You can pick between both menus. Korean style tacos or Fusion style Chinese food. Both do a great job with their perspective dishes. They've even got a collaboration sandwich here. It's a Korean flavored fried chicken sandwich. And it is huge! I also got to eat the char siu bbq with garlic butter rice. A bulgolgi taco which is delicious and a must have here. Next time I wanna try the salt & pepper chicken sandwich. Happy to see this collaboration come to life. Well executed.
As always...Seoul Taco doesn't disappoint. Korean fusion happiness! And thankfully they had the bulgogi waffle fry nachos back!!! The staff is amazing and the place is such a vibe. I don't know how they put it all out of such a small little place so quickly and so deliciously, but they do. We will keep returning because...Seoul Taco wins!!
This is a cute Korean/Mexican restaurant in a neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our food. The meats were nicely grilled and seasoned. Definitely a good mix of Korean and Mexican cuisine. Good presentation of food. The restaurant's interior is well decorated, very suitable for a date. Service was fast since it wasn't busy when we were there. We were able to find a parking spot (free) on a street near this restaurant.
Quickly was searching for something to eat, and Seoul Taco popped up. It sounded good Mexican-Korean fusion? That sounds like a solid combination. As a warning, most things are on the spicy side, so if you have kids or people who aren't a fan of spice beware. We arrived and found some street parking. Upon entering, we weren't greeted, and it was a very impersonal experience. You order at a kiosk, and basically, the only interaction you have is when they bring out your food. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of these ordering at kiosk. I like to ask questions and get opinions from the workers. We ordered the elote quesadilla, kimchi rice, beef bulgogi tacos, sweet potato waffle fries, horchata, and burritos. It didn't take too long for most of our order to come out, but it took forever for the fries, but that's because I think they forgot about it until we asked. Back to the food, the elote quesadilla was different in a good way. The meat is extra but in my opinion worth it. Otherwise, it would be lackluster. I didn't try the tacos because the tortilla shells did not look heated, and they had a spring mix on the tacos. It was more greenery than meat. The kimchi rice was just spicy, I couldn't even enjoy it. As for the horchata, it was a mix that wasn't mixed well enough, so it had clumps, and by the time you get to the end, just all the residual powder. My family said the burritos were tasty. The space is well utilized. There is plenty of seating for a small area and a nice interior design. It's a cool concept, but it just didn't do it for me in the service and taste department.
I went here for a family lunch with small kids. I should have read more on the restaurant before dinning. Everything was spicy. It was hard to ask any questions because you order at a kiosk and there is little to no people interaction. Other than, here is your food. The tacos were okay, the tortilla was barely warmed. The burrito was really good to me, but it was all basically just rice. We ordered horchata and I don't think it was fully mixed. There was powder residue floating around the top and bottom of the cup. We ordered sweet potato fries for the kids, but even that had chilli powder on it. The ambiance was cool and I liked the wall art and cool decor.
Seoul Taco gets the job done but it is so expensive for what you get. I do enjoy their food but can't reason getting a burrito for $15. That being said, if you are getting Seoul Taco, get the bulgogi and grab something with kimchi. You can't go wrong with their food, it's just expensive for what I would consider "fast food".
Does fusion food work or are we scared to adventure into new territory and try new and exciting flavors? I recently went to Seoul Taco and here is my review: Ambience It is pretty cozy looking with nice decoration. We ordered from a touch screen. We went during an off hour so it was not too busy other than what looked like some take out orders waiting for their food delivery peeps to pick them up. Service The staff seemed nice. They brought us our food. I would say the service would be similar to a lot of different takeout places. Food We had to base our experience without the Seoul Sauce, since when we went to order, there was a sign saying they were out of it... Tacos - we got the tacos with beef. When ordering you do get to customize the taco where you can add an egg or some other things. We went with a medium fried egg. The meat was marinated in a bulgogi marinade. It was a nice dish but better when we added the lime. I would not really recommend the egg or if you really wanted one, go with the over easy egg to get the runny yolk. Munchwrap Seoulpreme - This dish was confusing to me. There were so many flavors hitting you. They do give you a side of queso which I think made it somewhat better. I guess it would have been fine with the queso in the wrap to begin with. If they press it, it would have been even distributed throughout the wrap itself (just my theory). Quesadilla - I really enjoy this dish. We got it which marinated chicken. It had queso and a wasabi? Mayo drizzled on it. The mayo was not overpowering but brought a little heat. Everything worked well together and would take our place as the best dish we had there so far. Overall There were some ups and downs with Seoul taco. I think the munchwrap had too much going on, for me. The tacos were good but I really liked the quesadilla. I would like to go back and try different some of the other items as well as see if the pork would have made a difference as well. Seoul taco is not bad and maybe the Seoul Sauce which was not available at the time is a game changer. Time will tell. Note: thank you for reading this review and I hope it is helpful in anyway.

I've eaten here twice and the food is so good! The first time I had the burrito with chicken-- it's a generous portion with great flavors-- the Kimchee rice is spot on with the right level of spicy and savory notes. The veggies and sauce complemented the rice and nicely charred? Chicken really well. Ordering is easy via the kiosks and the food is made to order and comes out quickly. The 2nd visit I had a Gogi Bowl with spicy pork-- this is an excellent version of BiBimBap-- the pork was crispy and the veggies, gochujang spot on, and the veggies were fresh and crispy. The overall balance of rice and toppings was perfect. A great spot for a quick bite in Hyde Park! read more
I wanted to try out a restaurant I've never been to before because I've noticed I have been going to the same spots all the time. You order from a kiosk but there was an attendant there if you had any questions. I ordered the kimchi fried rice and spring rolls. The kimchi rice left something to the imagination. But the spring rolls were delicious. The dipping sauce they came with was very yummy. It appeared that the kimchi rice had meat bits in it but I live too far away to take it back. Might go back and try the tacos but I'll search around for at kimchi rice some other place. read more
Interesting menu--plenty of unique things to order. I got the kimchi fried rice burrito with bulgogi beef. The rice was a little bland (perhaps because kimchi tends to have a strong flavor and that's what I was expecting), but the bulgogi and other flavors more than made up for it. Ambiance is casual and also interesting. Service was quick. Street parking but we didn't have to walk far. read more

Don't know why this place is rated so low. I got the munchwrap seoulpreme (fire) and the bulgogi loaded fries (also fire). The service was good, and the ambiance is nice for a quick casual lunch. I have nothing negative to say about my experiences here. This is fusion done right! read more

It's in a corner spot on the same street as Medici. The area has a college-y vibe and the store fits in well. I brought my sister and bro in law here because none of us had been. We basically ordered everything, a burrito, a bowl, quesadilla along with the side of kimchi fried rice and the queso and chips. So, the queso and chips are skippable, the chips were old and the queso seemed like it was mostly flour. We stopped eating to focus on the other stuff. The burrito is probably the best followed by the quesadilla, they had the best balance of spice, carbs and protein. I will say that the burrito is best fresh. Service is friendly and helpful, they were patient with us as the three of us made our decisions and walked us through the menu and recommendations. read more
I'm personally a fan of Seoul taco, which is a Korean- Mexican fusion spot in Hyde park, that's particularly a good lunch option. They have a variety of interesting options, however my favorite is the munchwrap seoulpreme, which is essentially a Korean themed Crunchwrap. This item is very filling and a perfect pick me up for lunch! read more
Seoul Taco is always bussin. I literally just got back into Chicago today and of course had to stop by Seoul Taco for the beef bulgogi burrito. The burrito is packed with protein, kimchi rice, and a delicious Seoul sauce and wasabi sauce (as well as sour cream but I usually ask for it without). It's super filling and always hits the spot, I definitely recommend! read more

Ambiance vibes run down and maybe not too clean ... reminded me of New Orleans or pictures of Cuba, not remotely of super modern and mostly immaculate Seoul. Not great maybe the meat versions are better... coworkers seem to like it... too much mayo and random sauces, and overuse of iceberg (trash) lettuce. Non-Koreans making this stuff might affect the product...but then again, tacos aren't Korean so... don't see the connection. All I know is it's not worth $15 to me. Yeah yeah...I'm thrifty like that... but again I just went to Shaws and splurged for good, but tiny quantities... so nyah on that always being foremost in my reviews. read more
It's an alright Asian fusion place. We were in the area and decided to check it out. Won't come back. There are much better places for this type of food and prices as well. We got: - 3 Tacos (3/5): we chose spicy pork but they're not that spicy fyi. These tacos are neither amazing or terrible. They taste better without the lime fyi. - Gogi bowl (3.5/5): if we didn't pick bulgogi steak as protein topping (extra $2), this would have been worse. Nice egg and lettuce but mostly rice underneath. Rice is over cooked. It's conveniently located right by UChicago campus and has plenty of seating. But food is so so and overpriced for what they are. read more

Seoul IS MISSING SOUL! Food is tasty but it's hard to enjoy it when it's thrown together with no care or concern. I personally would not want to eat at any establishment that didn't care about their food's presentation and/or quality. Y'all please take a look at the photo that I took of my order right after opening the box. It's laughable to have paid for this. It didn't fall over in the car, the bag was sealed (stapled) when I got there, so I didn't get to check the food before leaving, and it stayed closed till I got home. I come here rarely for this reason. This is not the first time either, but I do think this was my last time. The burrito was good. Before, burritos came w/sweet potato waffle fries, I guess not anymore. But that is ok, because I remember getting cold, overcooked waffle fries. Ambiance - this was a Togo order! Please stop throwing food together! It is 2023, there is no reason for this kind of low quality to continue to thrive. I had two stars - dropped it down to one. Big disappointment! read more

So good! Bulgogi tacos, sweet potato nachos with Kimchee and spicy pork, cole slaw were incredible. I had ordered jungle boogie and was very excited to try this imperial pale wheat with rooibos, but the lager came with the meal instead. It's ok... the food was exceptional and made up for it. Although, I'm a bit sad I didn't get the Jungle Boogey the sour cream I ordered. I did not report it, snowmagedden started and I'd feel bad making anyone drive in that. read more

Definitely an acquired taste. A great cross over from a mexican style Korean food. If you are a fan of kimchi you'll love the kimchi fried rice. The steak from the quesadilla tastes exactly like the steak bulgogi from a kbbq place. I personally love it. If you are expecting a more traditional mexican style of food this is not the place for you. read more

Not too badly priced. Ordered from the machine was not too long of a wait. Food was delivered to our table. Paperless. Had bulgogi spicy pork and shrimp tacos in that order from best to ok. Would come again. Loved that they had jarritos and horchata. read more

I have to admit - the first time I tried Seoul Taco when it first opened, I wasn't the biggest fan, but my boyfriend convinced me to give it another try. I ordered the burrito with tofu and actually thought it was pretty good! The flavor of the kimchi rice was really unique (in a good way!) and there was the perfect amount of spice. The flavor combinations are definitely interesting, so I'm not sure this would truly hit the spot if you were craving a burrito, but it is definitely worth a try. I would probably go back to try some of the other options on the menu, because I like the amount of vegetarian options they have. read more
