We went through drive thru, the people were nice, but the quality of the food seems to have gone done hoo. The sushi roll was smooshed and not very appetizing and seemed a tad expensive. Two items was $25.

Love the thai boba tea and the frozen lemonade! The frozen lemonade is better than six flags which says a lot!!! It's a strange spot because it was a dairy queen that was always busy and with the drive thru in the position it's in it always seems like there are no people there but more people should go!!! The salmon burrito is on point with the flavor combination and probably so far my favorite! The tempura is good but there's something in the salmon one that adds flavor - the wasabi sauce is amazing but the other pink one not my favorite.... actually could do without and just get two of the wasabi sauces! The gyoza is fresh and really good as well - will certainly go back and enjoy more food there!!!

3 stars overall. Prices were good. Food was ok. Would pass on this next time. 4 stars grilled chicken. This was the best food here. No picture attached. 2 stars spam musubi. Very burnt. Massive amount of rice. Didn't like this. 3.5 crazy shrimp roll. Lot's of sauce. This was put together like a fast food sushi place. This was on par for the price. 1.5 stars Wings. Tastes like the picture looks. Yuck. 3 stars miso soup. Soup base not bad. Tofu was hilarious. Super mini kid sized pieces of tofu.

We ordered the number 105. Coconut milk Tea (Large) and number 90. Boba milk Tea (large)! By far our favorite flavors! Super delicious and milky. For food: we ordered the crazy shrimp roll and the golden California roll. They taste amazing! And this is coming from someone who is not a fan of fishy taste. Great for beginners with sushi.

Diamond in the Ruff as they say. You probably would drive right by it. Or at least I did a bunch of times before I read reviews leading me to try it; stopped there on Saturday around 3pm. It didn't look like anyone was there until i pulled around back to the drive-thru. I was 4th in line & ordered a Large Taro Milk Tea with a Philadelphia Roll. Okay, first off, this is the FRESHEST SUSHI I have had in a very long time. It tasted like everything was made to order as I was waiting. Honestly I was surprised just due to the outside décor. Taro is my favorite flavor in life so I'm probably biased for this one but yeah, will definitely drive-thru again. The woman taking my order & handing me my food was very pleasent. Thank you!

Drive through sushi who would have though to have found this gem in Chico. You can go inside the little hut or through the drive through to order from many choices of sushi, sushi burritos, snacks, and drinks. Who would have thought this place would be so dang good! I ordered the fried soft shell crab burrito and the sesame balls. This was hands down the best sushi burrito I have had yet! The wrap stays together even when eating it. The filling does not fall out. The crab mixture is so yummy and creamy. The vegetables add great texture. They serve with soy sauce, ginger, like a mayo sauce, and a wasabi sauce. All so yummy. Ask for extra sauce because it doesn't come with that much and it's really yummy. The sesame balls were also a 10/10. Come try this place it is great.

Super yummm! Definitely give this place a try if you haven't. Was sketched out at first cause of " drive through" sushi you don't see that often... but it was well worth it.

Dead bug on the spoon they gave me.
    Cheree A.

So the sweet and sour pork from here is a complete bust, unless you like sweet and sour hush puppies because that's really what they have. There's barely any meat inside these huge balls of dough. On top of that I found a dead bug on my spoon from them, so gross! Even the rice is overcooked and soggy. The only reason for me to ever go here again is for the boba. All this food was a complete waste of $30. And who puts lettuce in their sweet and sour plates? More soggy mess.

Sashimi burrito and large boba with free miso soup (happy hour)
    Wing L.

So excited about boba that I forgot to ask if they could make it less sweet...But I'm not gonna dock them for a mistake I made on my part. The pearls are good with a nice chew to them but not overkill. The prices went up for both the boba and the sushi burritos based off pictures of the old menu board. The sashimi burrito at $9.95 is not worth it imo. It's not that big and there's more veggies in it than fish. The taste is pretty good, the fish tasted fresh and the wasabi sauce they had was good. However the seaweed for the burrito was really soggy. Happy hour is 5-7. If you order a sushi burrito or a combo box you get a miso soup or sesame balls. The soup is pretty standard with seaweed and tofu, but was definitely way too salty. All in all, a decent meal. I'm gonna continue looking for a good sashimi place in Chico though.

Many boba places get this wrong by using too much syrup or get it too watered down. However, the ratio and tea taste is perfect here. The experience with the staff members here for the past few months has been more than great. Overall, Project Tea is the only place you should go to for boba if you live near Chico State.

I was beyond excited to try the spicy katsu chicken sando (I literally attempted eating here for 2 months but kept missing their open hours. They are VERY limited). The pricing I was charged was a bit more than what was on their menu, which I hadn't noticed until after the fact. :-/ When the sandwich arrived it was not at all what expected. I looked up the sandwich months ago and it appeared to be a juicy chicken breast between sliced cabbage on thick, fluffy bread. What I got was some beat up, flattened GREEEEEEASY gummy chicken that wasn't the least bit appetizing. It reminded me of frog legs and I was pretty much grossed out after the 2nd bite. The bread was exactly the same as Astesano Bakery Bread and didn't seem "home made" as their menu states. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't (home made) but it sure seemed like the same bread I buy at Safeway. Needless to say I was BEYOND bummed out. I guess that's partially my fault though, I mean... I saw a picture they used to have posted on their menu (it's no longer there) and had expectations that it was going to be exactly the same, which it most certainly was NOT. If I could sum it up in 2 words: Gummy & Greasy. Yuck. The best part was the cabbage so, that's what I ate and ditched the rest of the "sandwich" to the trash. So yeah, $13 + tip for some cabbage. Awesome. With that said, I don't recommend this place for the Sando's but! I may return for the egg rolls. They look good in the pictures however since I got 100% duped this time around, I think I'll ask if anybody I personally know has tried the egg rolls first before I spend any more money here. I do like their outdoor dining and if they could move the ginormous trash bins away from the outside dining tables it would be a great place to dine (who wants to eat next to trash cans??) I'll end on a positive note and say, I did like that they have an option of indoor or outdoor dining, if they move the trash cans, that would be my preferred place to eat.

They are famous for their Poké bowl, but we only did sushi this time (my willpower deserves recognition).. The edamame was excellent and their miso soup is still one of my favorites anywhere. It just tastes different... richer and more intentional than the usual versions. I'm a huge saba fan and theirs was exactly why I keep coming back... clean, fresh and done right. My kid had the tataki and it was the same story there, super fresh and gone in about thirty seconds. We also had the Gilroy (yum) Japanese Cowboy, Red Dragon, Hibachi Sunset and Lotus Cobra. The Lotus Cobra is one of those rolls you order once and then it just becomes part of your future. The ambiance is probably my favorite in Chico. It's one of those places where you can have a great meal and some top tier people watching at the same time. Service is always solid, friendly without being fake, and everything from the dining area to the bathrooms is consistently clean. I'll just say it... I wish we had a place like this back on the Mendocino Coast. Until then, this is always going to be my Chico sushi stop. We ordered the special dry-aged nigiri sampler, and my mom couldn't stop talking about how much it reminded her of the way fish and sushi are treated in Japan. Thoughtful, balanced, and intentional. It was such a refreshing break from the AYCE-style spots where the fish-to-rice ratios can feel quite careless. Almost forgot! Our server was amazing. Gah I forgot his name. So professional and knowledgeable about everrrrrything. We were super comfortable in the new lounge area, which I would say is much cozier and dare I say sexier than the old motif which was kinda industrial. If they ever open a location in Los Angeles (hint, hint), I'd be first in line.
