After first discovering this restaurant ten years ago in Mexico City, I was pleased to learn they had a location in El Paso and decided to give it a try. The sushi roll I ordered was very good and lived up to my expectations. However, the fried rice was a major disappointment. It was overly greasy, with far too much soy sauce and an overwhelming spiciness that made it inedible. In addition, the vegetables were undercooked and served raw more like a garnish it was odd which further detracted from the dish. Unfortunately, it's not something I would order again. That said, if you're looking for a lively atmosphere and enjoy the energy of a sushi bar, this restaurant definitely delivers on ambiance. The server was nice and removed the rice from my bill.

Just great! The place is cool. Ambiance is nice. Service is fast and friendly. Evey single thing we ordered was great. They did have a wierd single pice of nigiri on the menu but they were quick to tell us an order of nigiri was a single piece. We opted out if that, had a rice dish, karaage, and a sushi roll. Oh and started with a tempura shrimp dishe tossed in a special sauce. Everything was great. We will be going back the next time im passing through.

Sushiitto in downtown El Paso is such a fun surprise -- modern, chic, and full of creative touches. Think matcha churros, matcha lemonade, and even gold-topped matcha ice cream! They've got vegan and vegetarian options, chicharrones with guac, and the little touches (like the hot towels that magically expand in water) make it feel special. Great service, good music, and an overall elevated vibe without feeling pretentious.

I'm ashamed for not reviewing sooner. I feel like I've taken advantage of the many delicious meals here. Have ordered over a dozen items from their menu and everything is absolutely mind blowing. This place has a super cool and classy vibe too. Very friendly and professional service from the hostess to the wait staff and chefs. Having the chef visit my table one evening was a highlight for me. Dishes I highly recommend: Yuzu Ebi Edamame (roasted) Salmon entre Tempurized Vegas Roll Butterfly Roll Beef Ramen

Tonkotsu Ramen

Such a wonderful experience oh my goodness! My boyfriend and I showed up without a reservation (should have tried to make one oops!) but the staff was able to easily accommodate us quickly! Staff were absolutely wonderful. Our server (I think his name was Nate!) was so friendly and so attentive. He took care of us well and was so polite the entire time as well as all the rest of the staff we interacted with. The food was delicious, of course a little pricy but I would say worth it for the ambiance and what it was! The blackberry Paloma was absolutely delicious and the old fashioned was SO good!!! My boyfriend and I were there for our anniversary and the staff surprised us with a complimentary dessert, it was so sweet!!! Made a very special moment for us, we loved everything about our visit and would love to go back if we find ourselves back in the area!

This is a review coming from someone who doesn't live in Elpaso, also it is coming from a person who love authentic food! However this place is not that! The hostess: extremely friendly! She went out of her way to call her mom and find me a place to go eat pozole... that was extremely sweet of her! Her service was on point! Our server... the same! Explaining everything! Helping with recommendations... very polite and extremely welcoming and friendly! The food... I am not really sure how I feel about it. It is the typical rolls you can find at any sushi restaurant. The ambiance is very trendy but it doesn't match with the food. Overall it was a great experience having a dinner with the family and having this amazing of a service

Definitely upscale with a beautiful interior. There are high end menu items and also more casual dining choices, sake flight was pretty great and loved the chiraishi bowl and chicken kaarage. Service was also pretty good.

Good customer service. I expected the chicken teriyaki to have more teriyaki. California rolls were good. Matcha Lemonade too sweet, needed more matcha.

Good times good food in El Paso. This was within walking distance of the Hotel Paso Del Norte. Our server recommended Sushi Itto so we went. The drinks were both good (Jamaican Mezcalina and Rice, Paper, Scissors were on point ) We hit up the appetizers with the Yuzu Ebi and Shasito Peppers. Both were excellent, perfect tempura fry on both and flavors were outstanding. The Yuzu Ebi came with probably the best cocktail sauce I have ever tasted. The spice present in the sauce was great. The Chirashi bowl was a great mix of seafood. The menu did say sushi rice was used, but you could tell the rice was not fresh and it took away from the bowl a bit. Also the bowl really needed some kind of spice, my solution was that I held onto that cocktail sauce from the Yuzu Ebi and man did that make a difference. We finished off the meal wit the matcha churros as they were highly recommended by many folks. They were good but not unlike churros I had before. The matcha was unique, but I would say they were good not necessarily great. Service was good, nice quiet place and excellent clientele.

Really enjoyed my first lunch visit here earlier today. The location has a nice vibe, it's not huge but adequate dining space with tables, teppanyaki stations and bar seating. Ordered the build your own bento box for $20, added the teriyaki chicken for $5 and added a couple nigiri's (shrimp & salmon - not pictured) on the side. All of the food was very good and the service was top notch. It's great to know about a sushi option downtown that delivers on taste, service and quality. I look forward to future visits!

The food was pretty good. We had very good service at this restaurant. I've been looking for fried tofu everywhere and this place makes it exactly the way it should be made. It was a little bit nightcluby, but not too loud, where we could not speak to each other.

Lychee Martini

There are a lot of options on the menu, I got the Katsu Ramen and a lychee martini. The Ramen was good, on the creamy side, it does come with the eggs. The server was extremely friendly with our table. The weather was really nice so we choose to sit outside. The restaurant has a calm/warm environment.

It's with heavy heart that actually post this because the place is actually beautiful. The staff is nice slow but nice maybe slow from the New York standards. I could've gotten sushi at a supermarket better than this and with tip for $120 for three people for lunch specials and we weren't even having cocktails Was baffling not to mention the fact that they made a mistake and our cheese came out cold in the center because someone had frozen it. I can't say that I can't say that the rice was hard. Sushi was subpar or should say maki rolls. The only thing I liked was edamame. I don't know who's been giving it all these fabulous reviews. They need to rethink it or maybe this was just a mess. I just can't recommend anything when the food isn't good. This is not a reflection on the staff. I will say that perhaps they could move faster, but not unkind not without a smile on their face.

We were served by Justin. We had to ask twice for everything he was very forgetful. He would disappear to the back for long periods. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer, iceberg wedge, Caesar salad, and two kids meals to go. Unfortunately, nearly every aspect of our order had problems. The bone marrow was excessively salty to the point of being inedible. We tried to salvage it by scraping away the salt, but ultimately had to throw it out, I was not happy as you know bone marrow is not cheaply priced. The salsa macha accompanying it was also missing. My Caesar salad arrived with wilted lettuce literally hanging out of the container, clearly not fresh enough to serve. One kids meal had the wrong side item, no silverware was provided, and our drinks were forgotten entirely. We returned to address these issues, and while the manager was apologetic and remade our order, the replacements were still subpar. My LARGE salad was noticeably smaller than what I originally ordered, and the salsa macha, when finally provided, was very mediocre at best. I've had a lot better. I'm typically understanding when restaurants make one or two mistakes, but when an entire order is executed this poorly, it's hard to overlook. I understand they were busy, but they seriously need to execute better under those conditions. For a chophouse at this price point, the quality and attention to detail should be far better. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Thirty miles south of El Paso, where the desert stretches wide and the sun beats down like a…read moreblacksmith's hammer, there stands an oasis known as Cattlemen's Steakhouse--serving up some of the finest grub west of the Pecos. I'd been there once before, though not among the regular folk. Ten years ago, I sat in the private dining hall, watching the cooks tend to ribeyes over an open flame. Those steaks were laid on a grill set at a slant, so the grease dripped away instead of pooling beneath the meat. No shortcuts. No nonsense. Just fire, steel, and beef. This time, I pushed through the restaurant doors like a dusty traveler looking for redemption. Inside, a hungry soul can choose their cut, name their doneness, and pick their fixin's. Sure, there are other offerings on the menu--but I didn't ride all that way for chicken. I ordered the 24-ounce porterhouse they call the Cowgirl. For the truly brave, there's the Cowboy--a two-and-a-half-pound behemoth fit for a cattle drive champion. The steak arrives with a baked potato riding shotgun on the plate. Alongside come cowboy beans, pineapple coleslaw, and warm dinner rolls. And here's the kicker--they'll keep the sides coming if you've got the grit to ask for more. I fought my way through that Cowgirl like it was high noon. Tender, rich, and full of honest flavor--so good it didn't need a drop of sauce. I'll admit, the edges had a touch of toughness, like the desert itself. But that center cut? Smooth as a prairie sunset. Service was sharp and steady, the kind you hope for when you hitch your horse outside. But what truly sets Cattlemen's apart is its solitude. Out there, far from city noise, you're reminded of a quieter time--when towns were few, distances were long, and a good meal after a hard day's ride meant everything. If you're looking for a steakhouse that feels less like a restaurant and more like a scene from an old frontier tale, this is the place. Just bring your appetite--and maybe loosen your belt a notch before you saddle up.
