    Sushi set (built to order)
    Michelle L.

I was very excited to see another AYCE location opening so close to home. We are big fans of Sushi Yama, but hate the drive. The food was not bad, but the quality was not as good as other places we've tried. The sushi rolls were nicely presented, as well as the other dishes. However, I don't think there was anything that stood out. The dessert selection was interesting, some of the items didn't match the display description, but if you're a regular at these types of establishments, you knew what they were. They also had two types of fruit. They did have the tiramisu squares that I like, which was nice. I thought it was interesting that they had strawberries in their dish decor, but not as a dessert item. They did have three flavors of ice cream, but it was the style of the little cup cartons. Our server was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed in terms of our orders and our drinks. Inside it is very pretty with these fishes attached to the walls where they seemed to be swimming around the whole place. The bathroom was nice and clean. Overall, I think Ocean Buffet is a better option in the area since they have better tasting items (although less sushi choices), but Sushi Yama is still in our top ranking for sushi + quality. They do have a lunch special, so maybe that would be a nice value if you're looking to get a mix of items.

Wake up Orlando! A new sushi spot just dropped! This used to be the bar Aroggahs, which wasn't really popular. They have a good all you can eat menu! The portions are perfect to get a good taste of everything. They have a nice variety of sushi rolls and nigiri as well as hot tasting items from the kitchen. The food quality is fresh and delicious! Everything had a good flavor! I can definitely see coming back!

I definitely recommend giving this place a try! There's a great variety of menu items to choose from like fried appetizers, seafood appetizers, hand rolls, and even udon which I want to try in the future. We usually go for eel, salmon, shrimp, and some fun rolls. Everything tasted fresh, and I even loved the tuna tartare which I usually don't prefer because tuna tends to taste fishy to me. I also liked the eel much better than other places. Lastly, the sushi came with the perfect amount of rice. For the price and friendly service I'd say this is in the top 2 contenders for my go to sushi spots. :)

Went for lunch pre Valentine's Day with hubby to avoid the craziness of the weekend. Decor is nice. Space is ample and tastefully done. The middle section with all the tables has cafeteria vibes but there are booths as well. We tried a variety of things. Salmon tar tar was good Hand rolls were good. Skip the spicy kani that was awful Tuna tataki was standard Fat boy roll was good. Spicy girl roll was great Baby tiger roll was not a hit perhaps if they offered fresh salmon instead of smoked it would be better They have a real baby changing table in the female restroom rather than one of those plastic drop downs. They have 4 sushi chefs and things come out fairly quick.

If you're looking for a fun all-you-can-eat sushi spot in Orlando, Sushi Island definitely gives me the same vibes as Sushi Yama -- endless sushi, appetizers, and even hibachi options that make it perfect for groups or when you come in really hungry. The sushi was pretty decent and honestly not bad at all for the pricing. Not the freshest fish around but it's not bad. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and food came out surprisingly fast even when it was busy. My favorite was the eel as always --flavorful, and consistently good. The cucumber salad tasted super fresh and refreshing, and I also loved the variety of soups available: miso, clear mushroom, and clam soup were all comforting starters. One of the coolest parts is the all-you-can-eat ice cream and dessert bar with fruit. I do wish there were a few more dessert options, but overall it's still a fun concept and a nice way to end the meal. There were tons of hand rolls, specialty rolls, and different fish cuts to choose from, so it never felt repetitive. Overall, great environment, great service, and definitely a place I would recommend and come back to again!

Came back again and it's still just as good. The rolls were fresh and packed with fish, and I really appreciate that the nigiri has a generous cut of fish with a smaller portion of rice for an ayce place. You can tell they care about presentation too everything looks so nice. Service was friendly and attentive as always.

I highly recommend checking out Sushi Island. The ambiance is very cool and sets a great vibe. We went with the all you can eat option, which is an incredible deal. The Fat Boy roll was awesome and easily the highlight of the meal. Our server Jerry provided fantastic service and made sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely be coming back.

Service was good, Our first time here and the food was good And not too far from where we stay! Def worth a try! The manager greeted us multiple times and ensure our time was good and the place was very modern and clean

This new spot immediately became a favorite for me last night. They did everything right! The staff was super friendly and greeted you with a smile as soon as you walk in. The decor was super modern and clean, great lighting and comfortable seating however, some of the tables were pretty close together. All you can eat sushi, table service for $34.95 is unheard of! The presentation exceeded my expectations! Every dish came out looking like a piece of art! It was so beautiful and tasted even more delicious! My favorites were the spicy kani salad, shumai, yellowtail and octopus sashimi. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed every dish and trying new things. The sake flight is a must!! I loved everything I tried. But my faves were the yuzu sparkling and the pineapple(see pix). There was ample parking and we were seated right away on a Friday evening. I am so happy we got to try this place before theh explode even more ! They put so much care in to their food and the upkeep of the restaurant. I saw the manager overseeing everything and making sure that the service , cleanliness and presentation were all up to par. I can't wait to go back and bring more friends and family!

I love this place for many reasons. It's close to my home and very clean and stylistic in design. It's very similar to Sushi Yama in concept for this AYCE. However, the food quality is much better than I expected. The hosts are friendly and the server was attentive and warm. I've eaten there 3 times since it opened. The price is competitive to other sushi AYCE, and they do offer a lunch menu. Everything tastes fresh whether it's sushi or hot food items. My favorites are the Shrimp Tempura Udon, Teppan Shrimp, and most of the appetizer dishes like Jalapeno Yellowtail, Baked Mussels, Kani salad and even the sushi rolls. I tend to get the sashimi and there's a decent selection for dinner. Even the presentation for my sashimi was well done! The dessert is limited but you'll be too stuffed to eat it. Is it the best sushi? Better than other AYCE, but if you want spectacular sushi, you're better off going to an elevated sushi bar. However, for the value and freshness, this is the best option on this side of town. I hope they continue to stay consistent in quality. There's plenty of parking as they have their own lot. It's close to Full Sail and Semoran Blvd.

Awesome AYCE sushi spot! Large parking lot, friendly service, cute decor, and great sushi - what could be better! The All You Can Eat menu is huge and includes a lot of items typically not on others, including sashimi, scallop, tartares, udon soup, and a ton of speciality rolls. Our favorites were the salmon and scallop sushi/sashimi, the Spicy Girl Roll, the King Kai Roll, and the spicy kani salad. Their dinner price is $34.95 which I find to be right on par with other AYCE spots with the same quality. Honestly, I know it can be taboo to mention another restaurant in a review, but if you like Sushi Yama, the dishes here seem to be made with the same kinds of fish because we found everything to be similar (plus more options here!) - we love that place too so we were pleasantly surprised! Another standout part of the meal was our server, Graham, who was super sweet! He answered any questions we had, brought over extra sauces and such quickly, and checked in on us at a good frequency. He did tell us early on that the sushi rolls typically take a bit longer than the rest of the menu, which we definitely found to be true, so that was good advice - get your roll order in early! We came at 7pm on a Friday and it was relatively empty but it really started getting busy around 7:30-45pm. Service was maintained and the speed of food coming out (minus the rolls) was the same! Will definitely be back and hope this place continues to thrive!

Just tried this newly opened sushi spot and had a great experience. The restaurant is clean, the service is excellent, and the sushi is fresh. Everything is ordered through an iPad, and it's unlimited!!! you can order as much as you want. The salmon nigiri pieces were a bit smaller than what I'm used to but since it's all-you-can-eat, I didn't mind (I ended up ordering about 20!). Bonus for content creators if you post on your social media, they'll apply a discount. Overall, great spot and definitely worth checking out!

After seeing Sushi Island open recently, we've been wanting to try it out. (Admittedly, I was nervous because it's in the cursed building that no restaurant ever survives in) The decor and vibe inside is really cool. The Sushi chefs are in an open layout that can be seen from the dining room. There is also a nice bar/smaller seating area near the front of the restaurant that I'd like to try on out next visit. Everything is super clean and tidy, including the restrooms as well! There's also a cute little vending machine at the entrance that can be played for a dollar a try. My fiancée gave it a shot and actually won a little bride-duck plushee on her first try! (Which is fitting considering our wedding is in less than 2 months. lol) This is an all-you-can-eat sushi/hibachi restaurant. But this spot's a little different. Normally at restaurants like this that I've visited in the past, you can choose between AYCE Sushi OR hibachi, but here, for $35 you can basically eat as much as you want from the ENTIRE menu! There's simple sushi, sashimi, rolls, specialty rolls, hibachi steak, chicken, shrimp, different types of katsus, apps, soups, etc. There's a lot to choose from so we decided to go for as much of the menu as we could! I took as many photos as I could remember but I would get so excited to try new things coming to our table so I didn't get everything. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. They constantly check in on you to make sure you arent finishing a plate and waiting too long for your next one. Since this restaurant JUST opened, they still haven't quite nailed down their table orders yet, as a few times orders from other tables kept getting sent to ours, which I don't blame them for. I think that'll get better as they nail down their table numbers with experience. They also JUST finalized their liquor license so we weren't able to try and drinks on this visit, but I'm excited to come back and try their bar and see what offerings they will have next time. They have a small selection of light desserts and ice creams that you can help yourself to at the end of your meal that don't make you feel like youre gonna explode at the end of an AYCE dinner, which I really appreciate. This is a neat spot. I hope they find a home here in the Winter Park area and really look forward to our next visit.

The karaage was highly disappointing, the sauce was overwhelming and made the fried chicken coating slightly soggy. I think a dry seasoning would've paired better. The beef cheek had nice presentation, but didn't really impress with the flavor; there's better places for yakitori. The otoro we got was decent. The ribs were my favorite of the night with good sauce and they fell off the bone. And then my real favorite of the night was the ube cheesecake, so delicious and flavorful! Of the zensai (appetizers), I've tried the Tatsuta-Age, which was pretty tasty. Hot and crispy with good flavor. The udon is also top notch. They make it in house. Perfect chewy texture, what Taiwanese would call "QQ" I realized after my second visit that I still have not tried an udon with hot broth. I've tried the Spicy Miso Tan-Tan Udon, which was quite tasty, although a little on the richer/heavier side. I have also tried the Mentaiko Tsukimi Udon which was refreshing in the cold broth. I paired it with an add-on of sliced beef, which was delicious, they serve it on the side so you can add to whatever dish on your own. What I wouldn't recommend... The Viet Coffee with sesame foam and crushed sesame seeds was hard to drink. I loved the initial flavors but the foam got a little greasy and clumpy when mixed with the crushed sesame seeds, particularly toward the second half of the coffee. I wouldn't order it again. I would be interested to see any updates they've made recently but with so many new restaurants on Mills, I may choose those first.

So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.

The Florida roll was GAS ! I just started getting into spicy food and spicy tuna recently and this was just perfect. The right amount of bite and the spicy tuna on top tasted so good. It seems like they mash it up, which makes it easier to chew than typical raw tuna. A great savory roll and the flavor profile was just right, adding the eel sauce was a nice touch. The Alaska Roll speaks for itself, I mean look at that mountain of crunch I got it both times I went (inadvertently). I think I got it right with the name... The greens were bright and fresh, and the dressing had that perfect balance of tangy and savory that Japanese salads do so well. We also ordered a variety of sushi rolls, and the fish tasted incredibly fresh. The presentation was beautiful, and each bite had great texture and flavor. One of the highlights for me was the poke-style bowl I ordered -- it was light, flavorful, and packed with fresh ingredients that all worked together perfectly. Another standout was the Japanese curry with fried chicken. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the curry sauce was rich, comforting, and full of flavor over perfectly cooked rice. The little details made the meal even better -- from the pickled vegetables to the thoughtful plating. Everything felt carefully prepared. Service was excellent as well. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. Overall, it was one of those meals where every dish hits the mark. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. My kids loved it and so did I. We'll absolutely be back.

Let's start with props for being open at that time on a day when most restaurants are still sleeping from the night before. But here, you can get highly-curated, quality Japanese hand-rolls, with Sapporo or Asahi on draft, all kinds of sake, a calm, soothing atmosphere and friendly service. The place itself is very art-directed, modern and purposeful. Apparently it's owned by the Kabooki Sushi team, and the quality speaks for itself. It's not your typical sushi restaurant. It's hand rolls. Which means, seaweed is the wrap. Theirs is imported straight from Japan. And for the record, the seaweed is dense, flavorful and also way healthier for you than a mouthful of rice. I sat for the omakase which included a very delicious hamachi appetizer. Then an onslaught of handrolls including lobster, eel, a lean and fatty tuna (toro, the best) and a spicy root vegetable of the name I can't remember. In all, this place has great hours. A wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. And flavors that you can explore because the folks there want you to have fun eating the food as they prepare it. It's very live and fresh. And I'm super grateful it's just a few blocks away because I'll leave you with this. The prices are reasonable too. 5 stars all around. But be careful, I hear it gets packed during peak evening hours. Bravo though. Mosonori has a place in Orlando's culinary scene, for sure.

They were very friendly and kind. They were super attentive and were so inviting when we asked questions about the fish! We opted for the moso omakase and the salmon tasting so we could try a bit of everything and we are so glad we did! It was the perfect amount of food, they timed each roll up perfectly and we never felt rushed or that it was too slow. The vibes here are perfect for a date night or something more intimate. Definitely on the nicer scale for dining in Orlando! My boyfriend and I are already planning our next visit to Mosonori!!
