Inside is very nicely decorated. Once you enter, the sushi bar is right in front of you and the seating area is to the left. They had bar seating, table seating, and booths. My friend and I came here around noon on Wednesday and the place was empty. I decided to try the chicken soba noodles and the crunchy yellowtail roll. The noodles were delicious and the same could be said for the roll. There seemed to be only one person working the floor, the same guy that greeted and took our order. Since it was only him, we had to wait a while for our check. Food was delicious and you get a lot for your money, but service was alright. read more

This place is probably sub-par if I had to sum it. We went here for a quick bite. I got the teriyaki chicken bento box. Was really disappointed in the meal here. Chicken there was like 4 small pieces and too much oil. The salad had too much dressing that the lettuce was swimming in it. The sushi rolls were okay as well with the spicy salmon. I believe we were the only one's here too. The waitress was okay - had to ask couple of times for water. Wouldn't go out of my way coming back here. read more

4.5/5 taste- good sushi. i dont usually get salmon sashimi but its actually the highlight of this place tbh. For a lack of a better description, " it tastes really good 5/5 service - both times i have been they have been really friendly and have shown good timing and refill my drink when its low. i know that sounds high maintenance but its not, the servers here genuinely want you to enjoy your meal and they do. will definitely come back and if you cant think of anywhere to go this is your spot read more

This is one of my go to sushi spots when I want to treat myself, especially during lunch hours. They have great deals during lunch and the food tastes delicious every time I go. During dinner, the price for food is a bit pricey, but that's what to expect when it comes to a sushi bar. When you're aiming for quality, the food will be pricey but worth it. I am very pleased with this place. read more

Absolutely amazing! Some of the best sushi I've had. Rolls are just the right size. Prices were pretty good. Service was great. Will definitely eat here again my next time through. read more

First time here! I usually go to the same sushi restaurant so it was nice to switch it up for a change. I was not disappointed in the service nor the food. I had the Alaskan Roll, Louisiana Roll and Salmon Sushi. All were very good, especially the Louisiana Roll. The staff is friendly and attentive. I only put 4 stars instead of 5 because the sushi restaurant I usually go to had better flavor in my opinion even though THIS restaurant has rolls that' are $2 cheaper than my usual go to place. I would love to stop by sometime again for their lunch specials or happy hour! read more

Sushi Cafe - Alaskan Roll (L) Louisiana Roll (R), both delicious and I was very tempted to order a second Louisiana Roll! - Japanese Near Me - Arlington, Texas

Came for the first time for lunch and it's like I found a hidden gem! It's funny how I've lived in Arlington for about 17 years but there's so many great restaurants I've yet to visit. They have AWESOME lunch specials. A good amount of sushi without breaking your wallet. I got the Sushi & Roll which comes with soup or salad, a choice of a classic roll, and 5 sushi pieces: tuna, salmon, red snapper, yellowtail, and shrimp. I opted for the salad which comes with a tasty ginger dressing and got the spicy salmon for my classic roll. The salmon roll had a bit too much avocado for my liking. I wasn't sure if this was going to fill me up but I got comfortably full off this! My total came out to be exactly $11.83. I think I'll be frequenting here to try out more of their lunch specials :) read more

Came here during their lunch specials today and was surprised to find that the only people in the restaurant were me and my friends and a couple of other people. There was only one waitress too, so service was a tad slow. To make this brief, cute place but average food! I got the teriyaki shrimp bento box which came with miso soup, salad, 2 gyozas, 4 California rolls, and rice. All decent. My friends shared a 3 roll combo. I tried one and I noticed the consistency was quite mushy and easily fell apart.. yeah, not the best quality. They were very generous with the avocado in their rolls though which is always a plus for me. I'm sure their signature rolls taste much better. Though this place was not bad, when comparing to other sushi places' lunch specials, I'd much rather go to Suzushii or Domo for theirs. I'll probably come back here for their drink HH specials though because I heard they have some great deals! read more

I just stopped in for a quick bite to eat and got a to go order of one of the lunch specials plus a specialty roll and was NOT disappointed! My normal place to get sushi in Arlington is Sushi Domo but I had a recent unfortunate visit there so I needed a new place to get my fix. Sushi Cafe is kind of hidden if you don't know exactly where it is (kinda got lost trying to find the place lol) but it's right next door to spring creek BBQ. The young lady that was there was very helpful and answered all my questions regarding what I should order. I'd never been there before but during lunch (1pm) it didn't seem incredibly busy maybe 5 tables were full very nice and quiet. I ordered the 2 roll lunch special (spicy tuna & crab tempura) while I got the Shrimp killer for my mom. We ended up sharing everything cause it was so delicious! We got everything for about $20 such a steal! Make sure you ask for eel sauce if you're not too keen on soy it's on the sweet side and so very good! Needless to say this is going to be my new sushi spot I loved it! read more

Didn't feel welcomed at all. I was rushed during the whole process as if I was embarrassing her and no one was waiting anyway. Seems like she didn't like my appearance. Oh well. I dress down on a Friday night. It's time to unwind. Not to be dressed up to the nines. I don't even want the food. Just had a weird vibe from here. She didn't even tell me how long the food would take and it's for takeout. Sorry, I embarrassed you in front of paying customers. I didn't know my dollars doesn't mean anything as well. Idek if the food is good but it's definitely not all that being in a strip mall and being looked down upon when I'm a paying customer. First and last time. Also, their mailbox is full so you can't call them but they aren't really busy so I'm unsure as to what that is. No one is wearing masks in the facility but y'all are worried about how I look. How about y'all worry about COVID safety procedures instead of acting a whole fool over a sushi bar? COVID thrives in the cold so it should be wise to enforce the 6 feet rule and masks. Which this place does not! The female name may be Gillian- that's what is on the ticket so I'm unsure. She has a black bird and feather infinity tattoo on the inside of her right wrist. She also took care of 2 to go orders and left me standing/waiting when I came before them. Didn't say a peep to me. No, hold on, no sorry for your wait of a half hour. Nothing. Like I'm not even standing here. read more

I just moved here a week ago from Cali! Honestly just assumed sushi here (Texas in general) wasn't going to be very good. Don't know why I was so doubtful. And OMG SO YUMMY!!!!!! Best first experience ever!! This place is so authentic, good service, quick and presentable. We had their lunch combo special, and let me tell you... I was not expecting these amazingly cheap (compared to California) prices especially because of how delicious! For 2 ppl we had plenty to eat (and I overeat all the time). Paid overall $16-$18 can't remember exactly. I've had terrible experiences before with bad sushi, and the fish here tasted so fresh and exactly what TRUE sushi should taste like. LOVE the food here, will definitely be back! P.s. I love the ambiance this place has. But if I had anything I feel they can improve on, it would be the torn seat in the Booth. It's a personal pet peeve of mine and I hate sitting in them, plus I'm sure it makes it more difficult to clean. So it just looks like you're not taking care of your business long term :/ 5 stars STILL well earned!! Can't wait to come back! read more

The sushi was so good, very fresh. Great service as well, the waitress and chefs were very friendly!

I am pretty sure they are spamming the site with fake reviews. You will notice that most of the 5 star reviews are from people who normally never write reviews. Um, yeah. It's just a little to coincidental that several people in the last few weeks who normally don't write reviews come out of the woodwork for this one tiny restaurant... I'm skeptical. Sorry, y'all lose the last star for that. read more

Wow!!! I have lived in Arlington ALL my life, how have I never been here?!?! I have to say, sushi cafe is the best sushi for the best price and the best service-- in Arlington. Can't beat their lunch specials. You'll spend $13 or less and leave extremely full and happy! I ordered the sushi and roll special.. Came with; tuna, salmon, shrimp, white fish and yellow tail sushi, and one roll of your choice from the basic roll selection, in which I chose spicy salmon. All of that with your choice of soup/salad--- I chose the salad. The salad comes in a good sized bowl and the salad dressing is so good!!! The sushi looked and tasted so fresh, and the chefs are pretty generous with the cut and all. Since my lunch was sooo cheap, I decided to order a glass of Pinot Grigio.. Wow their glasses are huge and they offered a generous pour too! Talk about getting the most for your money! Dang! Lol (This just happened!) So I'm sitting here writing this review while trying to finish my generous pour of Pinot Grigio and the sweet sushi chef offers me a free plate of two salmon sashimi slices! How sweet is he!!! Anyway, back to my review... Service is very attentitive and fast, for both the host/server and the chefs! Definitely will be my go-to spot when I'm in Arlington and craving sushi! read more

I've eaten here many times and didn't want to make a review until I had a few bad experiences since this isn't a chain restaurant and I wanted to give them another chance. Never again. One lunch they didn't bring the food for 35 minutes... and I was on my lunch break. I get the $7.99 2 roll special with the salad. My salad never came and it wasn't til they brought out my sushi that they brought a soup and said they were out of salad. That's not THAT big of a deal though. However, their rice is NOT good. It's almost like it's stale, and when I got the salmon avocado roll last time the avocado was NOT ripe. It was really hard. Their food is inexpensive as far as lunch specials but it's not worth it. I think everyone saying it's great sushi haven't been to that many sushi places or have never had great sushi. read more

This place is really great. The sushi is always fresh, service is nice and my favorite thing of all is that the booths are like 3/4 enclosed tables. Stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. The ratings were good so I thought why not. The food was very basic. I ordered teriyaki shrimp bento box. The shrimp was tender but the shrimp itself were small. The salad barely had dressing on it. The service was lack-luster and the gyoza was burned(or the oil needed changing). I had to ask for sauce for it also. If someone knows where I can get great sushi in Arlington drop a comment. The best thing about my meal was my Beer. read more

We have been to Sushi Cafe twice in the last couple of weeks. The sushi and sashimi bento boxes were fresh and delicious. We had a dragon roll that was perfectly made looked as beautiful as it tasted. The service was excellent. We felt safe eating there with the high booths and spacing of the tables. The staff all had masks on and maintained social distancing where possible. The menu was available by scanning to your phone. The restaurant and restrooms were all very clean and we plan to make this our regular sushi spot when visiting Arlington for the Cowboys games. read more

With the help of my fellow Yelpers! I found this sweet find in my neighborhood. I was in the mood for an affordable and casual sushi place. Looked them up and in a matter of minutes I was at their front door. I arrived about 530 and they sat us in a booth. First of all the booths are pretty private. We could hear people but couldn't see anyone. I liked that since I didn't want to be stared at while I took some pics for this review. Lol. Second, I arrived just in time. I got there at happy hour. What do they offer for happy hour you ask? Well large house sake $2 and buy one roll get the 2nd for 50% off. Score. I ordered my sake and planned my assault on the sushi chef. I ordered about 6 rolls, I mean why not. They had a great selection of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. One of the things I always order is a salmon skin roll. Yes, it's a basic roll but if they are able to do basics then the speciality rolls should be great as well. Well they didn't disappoint. The salmon skin roll was crunchy, flavorful and not overpowering of fish. I was a great roll. The other rolls turned out awesome. We had the Spooky spider,White tiger, Cafe special, Shrimp crunch roll, and an order of Tako for good measure. Sushi cafe does a great job with their variety of rolls, their awesome happy hour and casual environment. I will definitely be back. read more

Sushi Cafe is our go to spot in Arlington for sushi. I highly recommend them, especially if you can make it for their lunch (currently not open mid day due to COVID). What a bargain! The sushi and sashimi combos are the way to go here. The sashimi pieces are thick cut and fresh. It will not be the best sashimi you've ever had but you won't be mad about the price or the quanitity. Lunch on a Friday is relatively quiet and the food comes out quickly. read more

Delicious sushi rolls and excellent service. Highly recommended! Our go-to sushi place!!

I met a friend here and let's just say we had a great time! The atmosphere was cozy and man were they playing the jams! We heard a mixture of Rascal Flatts, Backstreet Boys, Ne-yo and drumroll......Selena!!!! could this place get any better already?!!? Had me wanting to cumbia right in the damn booth!!! The waitress brought some free sake to the table which was strong but a very nice gesture. My Deep fried sushi roll was so good!!!! My friend order 2 sushi rolls that were also delish! Soooooo good! The only sushi place in Arlington I go to! Hot mama roll is my favorite.

Their prices for lunch are incredible and worth it! Rolls at night are a bit pricey for the quality you get, you can also taste the fish not being as fresh (or even flavorless), or the ingredients being unripe. Overall, still pretty good. Definitely wish their wasabi paste was actually pungent/"spicy" because I can dump the whole ball in there and not taste it. read more

came here for lunch didnt realize they closed to split up lunch and dinner. so i came in 30min before closing which i hate doing but i never felt like they were annoyed so that was great! i wasnt last to leave and it was actually really busy before closing so yay! we ordered the bento lunch special and the sushi lunch special it was all prepared perfectly! everything looked great and the taste was on point. this place has a great lunch special. i got to try 3 different rolls for 8$ thats amazing it was 12 pieces of sushi and salad or soup. the bento box is i think a little more maybe 9 and it came with sashimi, gyoza, salad, sushi and etc. the servers were really nice greeting and was very helpful. i am not a fan of the seating but it is nice and private so some may like that. just felt kind of tight when it didnt need to be, my table was cleaned but it leaves a sticky residue so that was off putting. overall this is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat at under 10$ and under 20$ for two people so thats a plus if you nearby. id def eat here again. read more
