We have been to this location probably 10 or more times. Every single roll is amazing. Be patient because the sushi chef works magic.

Met my friend here at around 1:40 and they let us stay even when they should be closing around 2. They were very hospitable, and I was dying to try some of their sashimi. I ordered one of the lunch specials sashimi bento box, and boy was it so good. The fish assortment tasted fresh and buttery and the house salad was simply amazing. I also really liked the beef gyoza! This is amazing and consistently spot on when it comes to taste and service. A great speak-easy environment with such attentive staff. A family member recommended in 2014 since I was a novice to sushi and it has never disappointed. Tuna to my surprise was the smoothest tasting given my experience was until then limited to tuna salad. The Avacado Bomb appetizer is the bomb with its crab stuffing. Looking for all protein then checkout the Butterfly Kiss or French Kiss. Simply fabulous! Tried some saki for the first time usually served room temp but they offer it chilled and in peach flavor. So finish with a mochi ice cream and you're done. The most evident quality is that the owner is behind the counter working his craft serving outstanding meals while maintaining an impeccably clean counter. Truly an art and great dining experience. Restaurant looks nice on the outside . Very small inside . Placed an order for dumplings, about 5 mins later the server comes back and tells us they are not available . If we wanted to order there would be an additional wait . Decided to pass . She came back and took out sushi order . Literally waiting over 30 mins for 4 rolls . The place was not busy . Myself and my boyfriend as well as another couple . She clears the table and brings be check. We waited another 5-8 mins for her to come back and get it . She never did . So , we went to checkout ourselves. She comes back . Double charged us . Says the card was declined and charged it again and it magically worked . Meanwhile, I get notified after each purchase. I showed her she double charged me and she says she didn't . This conversation lasts a few mins . She finally finds he original receipt ( from the trash where she threw it ) and hands it to me . We were double charged about a min apart and now I have to dispute with my bank . AVOID THIS PLACE !!!! read more

First time there tonight. Waitress was extremely nice. I ordered sashimi sampler. It was good and fresh. We had volcano roll and feast roll. Feast roll was good. Volcano not to impressed. But overall a god experience. Will be back to try other rolls and most likely get the larger sashimi sampler. read more

Been there once. My wife likes sushi and got 2 rolls. She really liked them and they were large, about 2" diameter and 6" long. She ate only half of each and had the rest for lunch te next day. I like cooked food, and got the teriaki shrimp. It was delicious, but a small amount (ate it all) plus it was $14.95. We had a groupon, which made me feel better about the price/size. We too like the quiet atmosphere and the separate booths. Very clean restaurant, including bathrooms. We will go back. read more

My sister and I went here for dinner and we both liked it. She got teriyaki chicken, I got veggie yakisoba, and we shared a veggie roll (it had avocado, asparagus, and some other veggies). For dessert we got the mochi, which is a nice, small dessert that isn't too heavy. It comes 2 to an order, and they're already cut in half, so we got 1 red bean and one green tea and each took half. This place has intimate little booths, so even if it got busy, I don't think it would feel like you're in a crowd. There was only one waiter working when we went in, but he was really courteous and helpful. Only one little hiccup: we requested brown rice with my sister's entree but got fried rice. Me and my fiance have been here numerous times. I've had friends ask me to try one place or another, but this one, by far is my favorite. My fiance LOVES, absolutely LOVES the creamy shrimp crunch appetizer. It's basically a long shrimp with cream cheese , deep fried with tempura batter. It's very very good... I did not care for the shitake mushroom soup, but the Miso is always spot on, when the waitress noticed I had barely touched my mushroom soup, she asked if it was not to my liking (I rarely tell them out right), and I was just like yah, it just wasn't that good to me. Took it away and said don't worry about it, never charged me for it. The mushrooms were just, chewy, I guess I'm used to portabello. The rolls they have are incredible, I love the ones they deep fry the entire roll, the menu makes it very clear what is spicy, what is deep fried, what is cooked vs raw fish. I always make it a point to order either a Philadelphia roll or Spicy Tuna, both are GREAT, sometimes I get both, because even a day later they are good to snack on, the rice still doesn't fall apart like you'd expect after rerefrigerating unlike sushi I get at say Kroger and rerefrigerate. Thier sake is good, and their happy hour is awesome. The bar is great to sit at, but we usually (3/5 times) site at a booth, because, well, it's kind of like a date night, but when we do sit at the bar, the chef is always happy, and willing to answer questions we have about "What's that?, Is that good?" etc, which is awesome because it lets us try new things. She loves the sweet heart roll, the strawberry I think makes it for her, also the jalapeno one with jalapeno on top is one she likes, can't remember the name though. Went with a friend & ordered edamame, salmon sashimi, the Arlington roll, & the Hot Mama roll. All of them were delicious! The ambience is nice. Great for hanging out & special occasions. Service was okay. Our server seemed distracted but probably doesn't happen often. We sat at the sushi bar but the chefs didn't really chat with us like they do at other sushi restaurants. I really like SUSHI, and this place is off the chain ! I dont often give 5 stars, let alone review much. This sushi was soooo good, I had to. You know how when you get your sushi, that little piece of fish looks cute on that roll of rice. Well, here you cant see the rice due to the size of the fish. This place is a jewel, it's small, not too flashy, and all about good sushi at a reasonable price. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed watching the su chef work his magic. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions. There were tons of good sushi rolls on the menu and we loved all of the ones we ordered. The happy hour was going on while we were there (around 6:30ish on a Thursday) and lasted until close and it had pretty good prices. By far the best sushi in Arlington. The staff is incredibly kind and the head chef is always smiling. I should of wrote this review a long time ago but it's time. You need to eat here and if your on a budget their lunch menu has 3 rolls for $10 including soup or salad. They also have an amazing apple and peach cold saki. The staff is here friendly and accommodating! I ordered take out and it was ready fairly quickly. The sushi was ready almost immediately. The decor was simple and cute. The only down side is with one entree and one roll you're looking at $24 ..but you Def will have alot of food. I especially liked their spicy salamon it wasn't paste, it was nice full chunks. This place is expensive. Recently, I went and saw this item on the menu that was something along the lines of korean ramen with thin noodles and broth. It sounded good so I ordered it only to find out that it was simply SHIN RAMYUN. I paid a hefty price for something that I could get for $2 at any grocery store. The waitress didn't warn me about it either which is probably part of their job (luring in customers) but this is just straight up lying since the menu item is completely different from what was served. This brings me to wonder: are they overpriced and is it really worth coming? I'm sorry but one bad apple ruins it for all. If they can be so cheap and dishonest about one thing, think about how cheap and dishonest everything else is. read more

this place got so many good reviews so i stopped by with my bf. he got the salmon teriyaki and i got the udon. i order shrimp and veggie for tempura for $4 more but i never see my shrimp, only veggies. there were 2 waitress running around taking care of tables and take to go orther while getting guest table so i didnt complain. today my friend got the same thing and the shrimp was actually there so at least i know it was a mistake .i'll def say something next time. their price is a bit higher ,i think lunch would be a better choice. their bento box is $13 or more. they re good. and some of the entrees didnt even come with meat so a $7 sth dish and if u want to add chicken its $3, i didnt like this cause why cant u include it in there lol $3 for chicken though, at other place its usually $1-2 for chicken,pork etc and shrimp cost more i understand. but the meat cost starting at $3 so i wont be back here often, i dont earn that much money to afford eating here often lol. the food is good, the udon is good, a bit too bland decoration wise and portion is decent,but if u eat a lot, it wont fill u up. my bf salmon is gone before all of his rice cause it wasnt that big lol their sushi is good, california roll doesnt have that much rice, i dont like raw fish so no idea on that the restaurant is a bit small but clean,bright and today our party got a free salad from the chef so that was nice the green tempura ice cream was meh, its much bigger than the pic tho.can possibly feed 4 or more ppl if ur almost filled and just want desserts. but their green tea ice cream doesn even taste like green tea, color is this neon ish green, the batter is mushy. i guess i ll go back to Sushi Domo for my fried green tea ice cream. i dont think the desserts are worth it but your call overall i like this place but im not that big of a sushi fan, along with all the above, i prob come back here once a while read more

I happened on this place a week ago, got carryout and was delighted. I love Asian food, especially sushi. I had a California roll. It was delicious and reasonably priced. I boasted about them to my family. We went this past weekend and to our dismay were treated less than cordial. We wanted a booth. We were 3 adults and 1 small child. There was a booth available but the seating hostess kept trying to sit us at a table, insisting that the booths were for 2. We were looking at parties of as many as 5 adults sitting in the booths. We were finally given the booth and the cold shoulder from the seating hostess from that point on. Our serving waitress was courteous and accommodating. The meal was great and enjoyed by all. Because of our reception, I have to rate them below what the food rates. Please work on race relations!!! read more
