    Dinner Bento B

Cute clean restaurant with a sushi bar. Extensive menu with something for everyone. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday night. Just one party in front of us. The restaurant has ample seating with tables in addition to the sushi bar. Wait staff were friendly and the service was good overall. The bento and salmon bowl we ordered were good and comparable to other Japanese restaurants. I ordered the special blue crab and uni bowl. It was fresh and good quality, but portion was small. Prices here are higher than the average Japanese restaurant in LA. The overall quality is good though. I would come back and try other items from their large menu selection.

Great little hole in the wall. We stopped by here a couple months ago just out of curiosity. There is only a few tables taken on a Tuesday during dinner time. Server was prompt, and the food was delivered pretty quickly. Everything we had tasted delicious and was fresh. I recently brought some coworkers in for lunch on the company dime. And they loved it! We will definitely be back when we are in the local area. The owners are super sweet and you could tell they really care about their business. Plus the bear theme is adorable.

This is our favorite Friday night sushi spot! Our go to are Shrimp Killer, Sunrise, Put your Hands Up, Hot Night. The service is always great even when it packed in there and there are only two people waiting tables. We lost this spot and will keep it on rotation as a favorite date night location

So many delicious sushi rolls! It was tough to just pick one, but we went with the Tiger Roll, and it was excellent, as were the baked green muscles. I love that they serve you a little bowl cinnamon sugar chips while you wait for your plates. There's so much more that we want to try next time! Just keep in mind that they close at 2pm, and reopen at 5pm for dinner. Also, their restroom, while clean, is not in the best shape. The tank lid anyway.

We were looking for a restaurant earlier in the week that's open late and this was convenient to us and had some good reviews. The rolls were decent but the soft shell crab appetizer had too much breading for my liking and the miso soup was watered down.

    Our plates were empty sorry

Wow so good. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. Cute little place to eat sushi in Tustin.

definitely worth the price! my boyfriend and i were making an impromptu date since i'm leaving for canada and won't be back till next week. randomly found this spot on google and since we were both craving sushi, thought to give it a try his bento lunch combo and my aloha roll came out to $55 + tip, so be prepared to spend some cash when you come to this upscale spot! tucked away on mcfadden, you can almost miss it. very hole in the wall with amazing promise. definitely will be back again!

Sushi bear is a hidden gem that I highly recommend if your around the area The ambiance is super laid back with a lot of seats so that won't be an issue . The restaurant is located in a fairly large shopping center so parking shouldn't be an issue . The service is also on point . They were very helpful especially considering this was my girlfriends and mine first time trying this location but overall check them two thumbs up!

We stopped by about an hour before closing. It was pretty empty, which made us hesitate at first -- but we're so glad we decided to go in! We ordered the Dragon Ball Z and the Burning Sensation rolls, and both were delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned. I especially loved the smokiness in the Burning Sensation -- a unique touch I don't usually find at sushi restaurants. As a bonus, the complimentary chips were a nice surprise. They had a light cinnamon sweetness that made them quite addictive. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be coming back!

Salad and miso soup that comes with bento box meal

My coworkers and I wanted to try a new place for lunch. We came during the middle of the week. There was one large party there and we were the only other group. It made me a little nervous because I chose this place. My coworkers ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, shrimp killer sushi roll and chicken udon stirfry. I wanted to try their bento box with two items which included sesame chicken and takoyaki. It also came with miso soup and salad, which was your classic garden salad you get out of a bag and nothing special. The Takoyaki balls were OK and the chicken was just not that tasty. I enjoy rice, but I didn't even like the taste or quality of the white rice. My coworker asked for spicy chili oil to go with the Ramen. We found out afterwards that it was not included and charged $3 for a teaspoon size. Sorry to say, but we will not be putting this place on our lunch rotation.

TLDR: solid 4.5 sushi it's on my rotation! Been doing this working out while fasted and I am usually hella starving around 1pm. Had to find some good and local sushi. Yelp to the rescue This was def the best option as most were closing in 30 min and I wasn't about to be rushed to eat sushi. Arrived and walked in and I was the only person there. Loved having the attention of the sushi chefs all to myself. It was almost like omakase as they they served me whatever they thought I'd like. And I liked everything they set in front of me. My favorite was the halibut! Ofcourse a post workout beer for ya boy! Orion beer brings me back to Okinawa and the good times I had. Not just for the nostalgia but Beer for me is a great litmus test for good sushi. I can tell if the sushi is good or bad cuz the beer brings out this odd metallic flavor that crappy fish tends to have. The fish and sushi tasted amazing with the beer! On top of the amazing sushi the chefs behind the counter are awesome! They can chat your ear off.

I really wish they would bring it back because it was one of the restaurant's signature dishes and a favorite among many customers. During this visit, I ordered the sliced pork and the jelly noodles. The sliced pork was incredibly tender, with a clean, fresh flavor that let the ingredients' quality shine. The jelly noodles were refreshing, spicy, and full of bold Sichuan flavors. The combination of heat, seasoning, and texture was simply delicious. The dessert was also surprisingly good. It reminded me of mochi, topped with puffed rice that added a pleasant crunch and contrast to the soft, chewy texture. If you're looking for authentic Sichuan food in Los Angeles, I highly recommend Sichuan Impression. Everything we had, though, seemed to have a "day old "quality to it The tuna on the poke bowl had a bit of a slime/stickiness to it.. instead of a sharp fresh quality. The crudo.. same thing. Also. It was covered in a mango sauce.. you couldn't even make out the slices of fish .. so you couldn't appreciate the texture through the thickish sauce The mixed platter had an unappetizing coleslaw that seemed well past its prime. The sweet potato fries and dipping sauce were the highlight of the tray. The batter on the fried fish was still undercooked, so it was wet and gooey underneath and just fell off the fish. The calamari was overcooked. The crabcake, though, had the best flavor and was the second best thing on the tray If I'm in the area,, I might give it another shot. But prolly not. My only complaint is that the Sichuan fries were not as crispy and I would have liked. They are also quite greasy and heavy. But I understand why it is soggy due to being tossed in the Sichuan oil after frying to achieve the numbing flavor. We started with the Beef Carpaccio with Arugula Salad and the Truffle Cheese Bread, both of which were excellent appetizers and set the tone for a wonderful meal. For our entrées, we ordered the Seafood Mafaldine, Branzino Piccata, and Braised Short Rib. The standout for me was the Braised Short Rib--tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and paired with creamy garlic mashed potatoes that had the perfect texture. The Seafood Mafaldine was equally impressive, with a rich, flavorful sauce that was simply heavenly. The combination of Italian and Japanese influences created a unique and comforting dining experience. Great food, wonderful company, and an enjoyable atmosphere made for an awesome night out. If you're looking for Italian-Japanese fusion comfort food, Ini Ristorante is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back for more.

If you love this place as much as I do, let's rally around the people who work there and let them know they will be there when they reopen. Tustin is remodeling the plaza where this historic restaurant now is located. This beautiful location is moving to a new location seven miles away. The food here is amazing. There are so many unique dishes you can not find anywhere else. For example, last night I had lychee with ice. Fresh, ripe lychees, mixed with juice and ice. Simple, fresh, and amazing. I miss the place already. Go before it is gone.

A couple came in while we're waiting to be seated. After we got seated we understand that they're closing soon and as a regular here. The couple came in later sat down and the Asian lady(her name is Kim if I'm not wrong) immediately served them and suggest what to eat bla bla bla. We KNOW what we want to eat so we're going to just order, eat and leave before 3pm. However 5 mins later still no one attended to us and we have been trying to have eye contact w her. Finally someone came to our rescue and we finally ordered after. Couple mins later one family came after and sat beside us, the Asian lady immediately attended to them. Serve water and ask them what they're gonna eat. There's 6 tables around us and she didn't approach us at all throughout the visit. So our food is served 13 mins before their closing time. Food is good, service is bad.
