We were actually at Ayer next door when we wanted to try something new to eat. We aren't the most familiar with the area, but we noticed this sushi place next door and decided to give it a try when we saw they had lunch specials. We ordered the following: Agedashi Tofu: This was honestly the highlight of the meal. I have been craving this appetizer, but not many places around here actually offer it. The last place I tried this was at Haku, and I was not impressed by it. However, the tofu here was really good! It was hot, crispy, and the sauce was perfectly sweet and salty. It comes with 4 larger sized pieces of tofu, which I thought was great, but could have been more for the price. Stir Fry Udon: This dish was advertised outside on one of their stand up signs by the front door. This is part of what brought us in, but upon receiving it, I was not too impressed. The sauce was extremely dark and it already looked salty. When I actually tasted it, I was not surprised that it tasted exactly how it looked. It was way too salty and saucey to the point, we were eating one bite then drinking water right after. It was a pretty simple dish with what looked like frozen carrots and peas and some cut up chicken. Lunch Bento Box Option 2: We opted in for the teriyaki salmon, gyoza, and salmon roll. It came with a side of salad and miso soup. The salmon was cut very thin and it did not have enough teriyaki sauce on it. It was on the dry side. The gyoza was nothing too special. Just felt frozen then dried with gyoza sauce. Miso soup and salad were also just decent. The best part of this meal probably had to be the salmon roll. I liked the big portions of salmon and the little rice on the outside. This was the perfect balance instead of just getting a mouthful of rice each bit like most other sushi places do. I think this place was decent, overall. The prices were definitely on the higher side for what you get. Nothing too much to rave about other than the agedashi tofu, so I will be by for that again, but not sure if I would necessarily get anything else. Service was attentive and great. This place was just okay overall. We stopped by early in the day while looking for somewhere to eat. We were craving agedashi tofu, and that ended up being the highlight, it was really good. We tried a few other items as well, but they didn't quite stand out and were a bit on the salty side for my taste. On the plus side, their sushi rolls had a great balance, not too much rice compared to the amount of fish, which I appreciated. They also offer some solid lunch specials, which is a nice option if you're stopping by during the day. The restaurant has ample seating with tables in addition to the sushi bar. Wait staff were friendly and the service was good overall. The bento and salmon bowl we ordered were good and comparable to other Japanese restaurants. I ordered the special blue crab and uni bowl. It was fresh and good quality, but portion was small. So many delicious sushi rolls! It was tough to just pick one, but we went with the Tiger Roll, and it was excellent, as were the baked green muscles. I love that they serve you a little bowl cinnamon sugar chips while you wait for your plates. There's so much more that we want to try next time! Great little hole in the wall. We stopped by here a couple months ago just out of curiosity. There is only a few tables taken on a Tuesday during dinner time. Server was prompt, and the food was delivered pretty quickly. Everything we had tasted delicious and was fresh. I recently brought some coworkers in for lunch on the company dime. And they loved it! My coworkers and I wanted to try a new place for lunch. We came during the middle of the week. There was one large party there and we were the only other group. It made me a little nervous because I chose this place. My coworkers ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, shrimp killer sushi roll and chicken udon stirfry. I wanted to try their bento box with two items which included sesame chicken and takoyaki. It also came with miso soup and salad, which was your classic garden salad you get out of a bag and nothing special. The Takoyaki balls were OK and the chicken was just not that tasty. I enjoy rice, but I didn't even like the taste or quality of the white rice. My coworker asked for spicy chili oil to go with the Ramen. Pretty decent sushi in Tustin. I was in the area and I was craving sushi. There were a few AYCE option around, but it was lunchtime and I was not super hungry. I got here for lunch and there was no one around, which kind of got me a little concerned, but I was hungry and there were many good reviews, so I went in. We were seated promptly and our waiter was super attentive. I opted for the lunchtime bento. I got a little more pricier one that gave you 3 items (you can choose for each category). I opted for the salmon, gyoza and the salmon rolls. The box came with miso soup, rice and salad. The food came out pretty quickly. I will say for the price, there was tons of food that came out. I ended up eating the salmon roll while I was there and taking the rest as leftovers. The fish was also fresh, which was great. I would definitely come back here again. My brother and I were looking on Yelp for a Friday night dinner spot. When we saw this teddy bear themed restaurant, we thought that's interesting, and made our way over at 7pm. This cozy little non-AYCE sushi spot is a hidden gem located in small plaza in Tustin. There is a good amount of parking available. As its name suggests, you are greeted by a few large stuffed teddy bears upon entry and I thought that was just super neat. The quality and portions are great in addition to having prices that are a bit lower in comparison to other sushi spots in the area. I got their Sushi Bear Combo with a Rainbow Roll as my special roll choice that's included in the combo (pictured) and it was delicious and very filling ($43)!
