After looking online for sushi in the area, Osaka Grill popped up. Though it's a hole-in-the-wall sort of place, that's a good sign because those tend to be the gems. Not fancy, but comfortable and casual atmosphere. There are tables and booths. It was busy on this Friday night (our first time ever here). We wanted a booth instead of the tables that were close to several other tables filled with customers and they allowed us to wait by the bar/counter where we watched and also looked at the menu to decide what sushi we wanted. Once seated, we were able to order quickly getting the Happy Family, Atlanta Roll, and Alaska Roll, miso soup. They were all good! What was even more welcoming was the price - definitely a great value, which probably explained why there were plenty of carryouts/pickups. Good food, good service, and amazing price!

Two stars, and I want to be fair about why…read more Ichiban Sushi advertises all-you-can-eat sushi, which sounds great until you hit the fine print: the entire table has to order it, or nobody can. I brought my almost-90-year-old father in for tempura and soup. He was not going to eat thirty dollars of raw fish, and I was not about to make him try. So the all-you-can-eat was off the table, literally, on account of him being at the table. I asked about my situation anyway. Just me ordering it, Dad having his soup. The answer was no. The reason, said out loud, was that they don't trust customers not to share. I understand the math behind that policy, I really do. But sit with what it means to open a brand-new relationship with a customer by explaining that the rule exists because you assume they'll cheat you. That's a rough note to start on. "Welcome, we don't trust you" is not a phrase that makes anyone reach for their wallet. So I went à la carte instead. Three pieces of sushi. They were fine. They were also tiny, and priced as if they were not tiny. At those prices, the only version of this meal that makes any sense is the all-you-can-eat, which, once again, I was not permitted to buy. I won't knock the food, the service, or the atmosphere. None of that was the issue. The issue is a policy built on the assumption that the person across the counter is trying to pull a fast one, held so tightly that it couldn't flex for an old man and his son having lunch. We haven't been back, and we won't be. And I'd gently suggest to the owner that when customers stop showing up, a lack of trust in those customers might be worth a second look. Trust runs both directions. So does its absence.

The sad part was the place only allowed 5 pieces of nigiri per customer for the whole dining period, which compared to other places is next to nothing (if you're a nigiri lover like myself). Sushi rolls were okay. A lot of filler, like cucumber, and not much protein in the rolls. We got a variety of rolls to test out and they were all around the same quality. 6.3/10.

We decided on sushi and ramen, instead of burgers. Both did look good. We ordered: tankatzu ramen- delicious! Kid approved. Tempura shrimp roll - so good and fresh. Shumai appetizer- good. Avocado roll for kid- good. And then they gave us a free spicy tuna roll for our patience w their ordering machine restarting on us (which was no biggie.) so nice of them! Best spicy tuna roll I've ever had. Wasn't fishy at all. So fresh and so much flavor! Shrimp tempura roll was delicious! Ramen was great and filling. So much flavor. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, and we were shocked and so happy that it tasted so amazing, being from a food court. If we lived close, we'd order here all the time. They do an amazing job! Great customer service too, and the menu has lots to choose from. Highly recommend!

My hubby got the steak for the first time and it was perfectly cooked. I always get the chicken, and it's always moist and flavorful. They will suggest the two veggies that come with your entree- but it's your choice. For those of you that bathe in the shrimp sauce, they charge extra for additional cups of it.
