"First you eat with your eyes", said an ancient Roman gourmand whose name I can't remember. And he is right about that. These rolls and nigiri look fantastic (see pics), and taste equally well. This spot is 1.5 miles from my house and now is on our rotation. The Cherry Blossom roll, the Dragon Maki and the regular yellowtail scallion are going to be regulars for us. As a p.s. and this is important, the regular spicy tuna roll is actual tuna and not minced up tuna. I'm always afraid the minced tuna is yesterday's or the day before, diced up and mixed with hot sauce and rolled. So I always check that. We are all good here!

When we came in they offered to put the cake in the cooler for us, very nice. It is served with ponzu sauce. I also tried a different roll "jumping shrimp". It has tempura shrimp and avocado inside. It's topped with sushi shrimp and spicy chili sauce. It was very good. Another favorite of mine is the "Mr T" roll. It has spicy crab inside. It is topped with a drizzle of unagi sauce. All of the appetizers i have tried through my years of dining here have been delicious. The servers are always attentive and give great tips on different sushi rolls to try. Once they finally arrived, it was another 10 minutes before our drinks and appetizers came out. Because of the delay, we went ahead and ordered our daughter's medium steak hibachi. After waiting a while longer, we decided to order sushi as well, assuming her hibachi would arrive any moment. The sushi arrived well before her meal. When the hibachi finally came, the steak was severely overcooked. To the server's credit, they agreed to replace it. Despite the experience, we paid our bill in full and left a 20% tip. Before leaving, we decided to speak with the manager and give him an opportunity to address our concerns. Unfortunately, that may have been the most disappointing part of the entire evening. While we were explaining what happened, he laughed and joked with the staff, showing absolutely no sense of concern or urgency. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right, and seemingly no acknowledgment that we had just had a terrible experience. After nearly ten years of loyalty, I expected better. Tonight made it very clear that our business is no longer valued, and unfortunately, we won't be returning.
