This pizza place has a kind of surfer dude vibe that is very cute and decor to match. The staff are polite and accommodating, they want you to be happy. We walked in and ordered Kokomo pizza with regular crust. The order was to go. Staff said 15 minutes about. It was 15 minutes. They open the box so you can inspect the pizza before you go, which I thought was a nice touch. The pizza is pretty good, I think thin crust is better. It's not a cookie cutter pizza, the toppings are kinda chunky homemade pizza style, very appealing to the eye. Overall: recommend this place as it was close, fast, and friendly. Pizza is average and filling, pretty good. Prices were pretty good for the area. We had a devil of a time trying to get hold of any pizza delivery in the area. We gave up and tried this. The grandkids really wanted a pizza after a long drive here. This was the only place we found that had immediate availability with inside seating. Win! We ordered 2 pizzas. One cheese only. Which the kids loved. Win! One vegetarian pizza. Which was not good. The crust was super thin and crusty. Like a cracker. There was very little cheese especially outside the center of the pie, the mushrooms were dried up tiny pieces - not like sliced mushrooms, and the sauce tased like plain tomato paste. Slow!!!! Ordered online and waited over 45 minutes for two calzones that were tiny bite size for $25 each and a salad that was just lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes and a few sprinkles of cheese!! Stood in long line to pick up minute calzones that tasted bland and after paying it took another 20 minutes for the cashier to bring my food out! After walking back to my hotel and finally getting to eat, I discovered they didn't provide a fork to eat my salad! I would not recommend Surfside Pizza for its bland food and especially not for the high prices! We ordered delivery from here on our vacation in orange beach. We ordered 10 pizzas and 3 orders of the cheesy bread. We tried the Kokomo, the Meat Me in Maui, some pepperoni pizzas, and a cheese. Note. The service and kindness of the staff is excellent. Ordered an x large everything pizza to be delivered. Shortly after they called and apologized that a new cook misread the order and they had to remake my order, but to apologize they said they would send the miss made pizza at no charge for the inconvenience of having to wait. I accepted and cash tipped the delivery an appropriate amount for the nice gesture. Now to the pizza . The sauce was nice , the ingredients were good quality and had fresh taste. But we ordered thin crust and it was very doughy. It could have stood another 5 minutes or more in the oven. Basically was very undercooked. I could assume with it being a new cook and them trying to get the order to me as quick as possible that they were under cooked by mistake. We ordered a specialty pizza on thin crust. The toppings were fresher, the crust was good and it was ready in half the time. All nice improvements. They left the decor alone which is also nice. We placed an order for delivery. Quoted an hour away which was fine. Once it didn't arrive in the time frame, we called and were assured that the driver was leaving their store. An additional hour later, I'm on the phone finding out about the 2 hour wait. I eventually make it to the manager/co-owner by phone who was ultimately unapologetic and indifferent. The pizza did arrive and he begrudgingly refunded us due to driver error. as far as the quality of the pizza itself, I'm sure it would've been better like an hour before we got it. It had totally cooled off to room temperature and several things were inedible due to being overcooked. I would make this your last resort for pizza delivery on vacation. read more

It's a small little place, probably mostly carryout business. They only have red sauce and one in our party prefers white sauce. I think they could put more toppings on the pizzas. We also ordered boneless wings and they were your basic (maybe frozen) wings tossed in sauce. Don't think of it as a nice sit down restaurant that serves pizza. If I was to get another one, I would ask for a well done bake as I think it came out of the oven too early. Also, I'd ask to have them cut the slices smaller. They do the square cut, which is great but the slices should be smaller in my opinion. The service was very quick. I should've known to ask for extra bake when the owner said it'd be ready in 12 minutes. Location is convenient and easy to find in the shopping center next to Rouses.
