Got a chance to check out Peninsula Pharmacy. I was actually looking for postcards as I'm a collector of postcards and magnets wherever I travel to. However, their postcards weren't to my liking, but I still walked around the place to see what goodies I can find. I bought 3 pairs of socks... avocados, buzzing bees, and crackling octopus. SO CUTE! It's a nice pharmacy that not only sells pharmacy stuff, but all sorts of other stuff. However, when I was there lingering around the socks for so long because I could not decide, I felt I was being watched by one of the women who works there. Just a feeling I got... you just know when someone has an eye on you LOL. I'm not referring to the romantic way LOL. Anyway, I had to quickly decide otherwise they might have gotten more suspicious of my intent. All I wanted to do was to pick the best designs. It's not like I was going to run out with them socks without paying LOL. I always pay for my goods. Anyhoo, do drop on by when you're in Long Beach, WA. Perhaps you'll pick up a pair of socks or two. Just don't linger LOL. Happy Shopping!

Very uncomfortable and we are NOT shop lifters!!!!!! We actually purchased items, and she was right behind us following us. NEVER will I go into that pharmacy again. We goto Long Beach a lot.

We had a fantastic time hanging out with Pete - the 70+ year old curator and a master story teller. From the moment we walked in the door - we were listening to great stories - stories of his time cooking on a ship, his grandfather from Missouri, his days in the military. My husband and I enjoyed his company for a couple of hours. Now I can't vouch for the validity of all of the information - and why would I want to? Do you know the Subaru stars are Pleiades? Why is Alexander Hamilton on the 10 dollar bill? And that he was killed in a duel with Aaron Burr!!! Pete shared knowledge liberally! He wrote notes from our conversation on the invoice and hand draws the logo on each one too. I bought an iron pot and it was wrapped up with such care - when I unwrapped it 2 days later - I found a special knick knack with a little note on a card from Pete. It's better than a show - you must go to this place which is only open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Pete is so brilliant - go visit him and share some stories. Just don't buy the bugle - I'm coming back for that one.

I've also gotten some different random movies from them too, same situation: looked cool and were really cheap (in their case, being VHS tapes they were only 50 cents!). Don't expect a lot of really bang for your buck or good for resale stuff (your kinda annoying if you go into places like this for that reason anyways), just neat little things for a cheap price. Actually, about finding bang-for-your-buck stuff, apparently my friends gotten multiple gaming stuff there?? Including a whole PS4 for I think he said like 50$?? Well I've never seen anything like that but that's pretty damn cool. The only gaming thing I've seen there is a Pac-Man plug 'n play (or well it apparently actually has multiple Bandai Namco golden age arcade titles, it's just shaped like the Pac-Man sprite.)
