I would Much rather shop at the thrift stores in the area that sell things for actual used prices. Newlife fellowship just around the corner from ugly eds has better deals. And in south bend you can find grace community thrift store also a great place to by pre owned items. Ugly eds is trying to sell furniture at the price it was originally paid for 20 years ago! I bought a set of matteresses for 200 dollars and when I got rid of them the man who picked them up said "these are older then me!" He was not a young fellow either. Said he could tell by the color and pattern that they were from 1960's! Totally not worth 200 dollars! Broken down and old! When I bought them I had no idea how bad I had been ripped off. Besides that, the women who works there is not overly friendly or helpful. And you will need help finding anything in that mess of a store! And I have live in the area for over 15 years and I have never seen this "ugly Ed" person.

There were 4 cars in line before me, so instead of blocking the entrance to the actual "Goodwill" store side I decided to pull in front. I let every car go first before me that had been there prior, and when it was my turn I got out to explain I had some things to donate (in the mean time as the cars that were there before me started leaving, new cars were pulling up in their spot). The woman working seemed very confused, and informed me that "I can't take your stuff, you need to turn around and go to the back if this line." Like I had not been parked there the entire time. She was extremely flustered and for the life of her couldn't understand why my car was in front. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE LADY! I guess this teaches me something though trying to donate things. There needs to be some serious training basic training, or atleast a competencey test I guess. I was simply not trying to block the sliding doors to the entrance of the actual shop area by pulling foward. I'll find somewhere else to donate my things, this place is a joke, if you want to donate something save yourself the headache and avoid.

He was rude to me and called me a bit** and told me I was causing a disturbance. i know this is against the law and when I called the police they sited with the owner whom by then was plain refusing in access to the shop. I found this so extremely unnecessary and it left me in tears. I used to love this store, loved the people and for 20 years have been a patRon. even though this is against the law the local police sited with the owner. now I will be going to the attorney general and filing a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. Please don't support stores that don't support keep up with disabilities.

They are never open anymore, and on the few occasions the doors aren't locked, everything is so outrageously priced that I usually walk out empty handed.
