I am a disabled person with a medical alert service dog. I was denied access to this shop even though I provided the ness easy necessary documentation. He was rude to me and called me a bit** and told me I was causing a disturbance. i know this is against the law and when I called the police they sited with the owner whom by then was plain refusing in access to the shop. I found this so extremely unnecessary and it left me in tears. I used to love this store, loved the people and for 20 years have been a patRon. even though this is against the law the local police sited with the owner. now I will be going to the attorney general and filing a dispute with the Better Business Bureau. Please don't support stores that don't support keep up with disabilities. read more

This used to be the best thrift store in town. I would spend hours digging around for cool finds and really just loved the place. They got new owners and it went off the cliff quick. They are never open anymore, and on the few occasions the doors aren't locked, everything is so outrageously priced that I usually walk out empty handed. I dunno how you could nose dive a place like this over night but it sure isn't what it used to be. read more

They've tried organizing the best way they can and it's getting there! The downside is when many customers with kids come in the parents just let their kids run free! I've seen it so many times; they scatter toys, climb through the clothing and pull them down, brake glassware, run around playing tag while bumping into other customers and scream. The one employee in the store while we were there was the single most unprofessional middle aged, man I've personally ever experienced. He turned on some awful music horribly loud, while we were looking thru cds I turned the music off as it was playing thru a system that was for sale on the floor. I had thought another customer had turned it on because of how horribly unpleasant it was. But immediately the one shorter, white male, bad hygiene, probably hasn't bathed in a while called me an "asshole" and a "punk", as I was walking towards the exit with my fiancé but this guy insisted on continuing to escalate calling me repeated names including "BOY" in a fiercely angry tone, when I asked if he had a problem with me because I'm Hispanic, he got more heated and told me he'd love to exit the store with me to "clean my clock" but he's gotta stay in the store. My fiancé saw after he repeatedly called me names, and was trying to start a confrontation that I was getting angry, so she stepped between him and I, his first move was to lunge toward her as if he was going to physically assault her. He then called the police and made comments about me being a white kid saying I'm Hispanic. Wtf, this guy is clearly a loose cannon, he has a significant issue with both minorities and definitely women. My fiancé was shaking and literally scared as we walked away, while this unprofessional jerk continued to berate us. I plan to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau but for your own safety please avoid this business in the future. read more

There aren't a lot of thrift stores in Shelton, and Treasures is about as good as it gets. Heck, I was happy to find any thrift stores at all in such a tiny town! Treasures is on the smallish side, somewhat smaller than the typical WA Goodwill store. There's a gated "boutique" section at the front with more expensive items that are better quality and/or better condition -- although I didn't notice any designer labels or especially fancy stuff. The rest of the store is men's and women's clothing and shoes, housewares and art, and accessories. There's a sidewalk rack outside that has some fun costumey stuff, too. The store is a little run-down looking and not the cleanest, so you'll have to roll up your sleeves and hunt. But prices are reasonable and they have some good sales. The day we were there, all clothing was $1! The employees were friendly, but slow on the single register, and the line backed up quickly. Our cashier offered us a punch card, which looks like a good deal if you live in the area or plan to shop there regularly. Overall, not a bad little store and one you should check out if you happen to find yourself in Shelton. read more

I was really frustrated with the manager, Tyler. I was SEVERELY overcharged on items I bought. The price tags on merchandise are meaningless. The tags clearly marked 29¢ on the items I bought, but I was charged $1 per. I pointed this out at the time, but this is not a fair business practice. When I called to discuss this with the manager the next day, he hung up on me twice when I just began to discuss the issue with him. We were antagonized and forced to leave Treasures this afternoon by a very rude employee, who yelled at our children and then at us for bringing them in the store. We were very offended, put down all the items we were about to buy, including toys for the kids who were very disapointed, and left. Treasures is a regular stop off for me. Their prices are very reasonable, when some thrift stores have raised theirs too high in past years. Last night I bought 3 pieces of wall art for friends and family that were very attractive and in good shape. Treasures has a seasonal display section that I love to check out. i went on line, i could not find any information any were for any thing i needed to get some info for a pic up , i have donations .. then i called the store and talked to a lady she was sweet .she took down my information and said a man would call me back around the time i requested the next day an i waited by the phone all day . no one called me back or the following day i called and nothing, i still am trying but guess they dont care about customers trying to help by donating.. i also called and left another message for the owner to contact me .maybe she didnt get it. her son said she might be able to help me 'i have 2 kids and there parents moving in and they dont have any thing im looking for a couple of single beds and blankets for them i dont have money to buy them . oh well sombody will help me i hope... Since the reseller vloggs have become hot on YouTube I've noticed that the prices at thrift stores have skyrocketed, and for not good reason because its the same old stuff. Its just that people have been misinformed that you can actually make money hawking thrift store items on Ebay and Etsy. The prices at my last visit were disappointingly high, $4.95 for an item I saw for sale at the Dollar Store. Overpriced knick knacks. Confusing pricing system with clerks who don't explain it well. There was a color tag sale going on, but the clerk told me that the color of the tag means nothing, its just for inventory. I did get 50% off of a certain color, but I only found out about it at the checkstand. If I could understand the pricing system, I would have bought more. But all I could see, especially in the "boutique" section were prices that came straight off Etsy. Depressing. read more
