Good resource for odds and ends when you just need a little. Because it's donations driven it's hit or miss.

They have mostly sewing, knitting, and paper craft goods, but there's a section of the store that has other random crafting supplies.

I wish it was bigger. I know this is a small, boutique style Goodwill outfit…read more It just didn't have the more quirky and unusual finds I was hoping to "discover". Friendly worker there who was knowledgeable and so sweet. The focus, understandably, is on clothing and shoes. Again, I just wish there was even more of what they had. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Blue appears to be the product of someone sifting through donations and determining these items can sell retail. Ceramic mugs at $12.99? This is Goodwill and if someone gave you that for free, why are you charging $13 for an item that would be a max of $3 at a reputable thrift shop and truth be told, most thrift shops sell mugs for $.99. I saw a few things here I liked, but when I saw the pricing, I just laughed, I wouldn't pay their asking price if the same items were new. I was also offended while attempting to shop here. I was the only one in the store and the woman was doing something in the corner. As I starting browsing near the entrance, I felt crowded and when I looked up, the woman working there, had apparently decided to spruce up the area I was looking at. It was a poorly timed and placed attempt to discourage shoplifting, but I am a mature, educated man with more than enough money and if I had to guess, I donate thousands of dollar's worth of merchandise to Goodwill annually and are a little peeved then they don't provide coupons or vouchers for large donations. Actually, in the last year, I started donating to a place in Bellevue, they give either 10% or 15% off your bill when you donate and even though, I don't always find anything to purchase, at least I know my donation is appreciated. This woman made me so uncomfortable following me around, I left. It was a nasty atmosphere and not typical of the once Hippy Vegan vibe I would get visiting Olympia. Shame on your Goodwill, I expect far better from you in many ways.

The Eagles #21 has history dating 100 years- through the beginning of the club's early founding, it's heyday in the 40's and 50's, and through it's slight decline in the 80's and 90's. Since then it has gone through numerous improvements to make it one of the best spots for entertainment and leisure. Decades of live events throughout the 4-level building have brought many different people together from all over the Oly area, and the world. Upstairs is the huge Eagles Grand Ballroom that is used for weekly dances and planned events such as weddings, proms, and recitals. There are performance art classes also available for anyone wanting to learn a type of dance, or drum. In the bottom level of the building is the E-mart. The Eagles houses a thrift store full to the brim of second-hand goods. From designer labeled clothing, to electronics, old VHS and DVDs, furniture, and from dishes and housewares to books and toys. Of course, the ground level is the member's lounge. Boasting the only bar in downtown Olympia to have the NFL ticket, the clubhouse can get any NFL game on it's six flat-screen TVs and projector. The Eagles is also home to the official Brown's Backers football club who meet for every Cleveland Brown game. And the best spot to watch all your Sounders, Mariners, and Seahawks games. Not a football fan? All throughout the week there are daily drink specials (cheapest in town), live music, karaoke, free pool and foosball, pull tabs, a stage and a dance floor and a jukebox, video games, potlucks, and great people enjoying the company at the bar. It is a member's only club, however. Joining is simple. There are yearly dues to being a member, and of course abiding by club rules and aerie bylaws. But they are always accepting more members to join and be a part of a great community of fundraisers who love to party!

Came by to dropoff donations and peruse anything for my hobbies…read more The donations line is outdoors on the west side of the building facing the street. The line starts at 10 am and due to covid, one must unload their own donations into the bins and get a tax slip online. No furniture donations were accepted when I was there on 1/13. The line goes as fast as people move so chill and wait. Store didn't have much that I was looking for, but it was well organized, clean and I'll be back.

I was sexually assaulted at this location today, 1/24/26, at about 4 pm by an old white man. He…read morebrushed up against me, I thought accidentally, but when he said "scuse me" , he reached down and cupped my butt and gave it two grope-pats ( I don't really know how else to describe that). I was shocked, and turned to him and said "sir, you just touched my butt". He replied with "I know, I was trying to get by you". First of all, I am by no means a big girl. I'm about 5'6, size 4, and not taking up enough space for him to need to even come close to touching me to get by. Secondly, this man was probably 6'2 and skinny. He did what he did intentionally. I called him out after he said that to me, and said loudly "this strange man just grabbed my a**!" He came towards me aggressively, and at that point my husband, who'd been several aisles away, had come to see what was happening. The weirdo who grabbed me started to back up the second there was another man involved, and my husband told him something along the lines of he needs to keep his hands to himself. The man told my husband to suck his you know what, and then called me the B word. Up to this point, Goodwill as a business had nothing to do with what that pervert was up to. A worker at the store (a lady who looked to be early thirties at most, with auburn hair and fair skin) approached and asked if everything was alright, and I told her exactly what happened. I asked her if they were going to have the man leave, and was told they couldn't do that or they might get sued . I told her that wasn't right- a man had just assaulted me, and he didn't get any repercussions?? She said, well he walked away so just try to stay away from him. She refused to ask him to leave because "I didn't actually see him grab your butt, but I believe you". So, if you want to go sexually assault people with zero consequences, head to the Olympia goodwill. They'll let you do whatever, as long as you walk away from whoever you assaulted. And, they'll make your victim feel like they're in the wrong, guaranteeing they'll leave and you can continue through life, groping strangers consequence free. Goodwill doesn't care about the safety of their customers, especially women.
