Good resource for odds and ends when you just need a little. Because it's donations driven it's hit or miss.

They have mostly sewing, knitting, and paper craft goods, but there's a section of the store that has other random crafting supplies.

As with all craft stores such as Michael's, the pricing on most every product is very reasonably priced which makes it a whole lot easier to want to do crafting. Selection wise they do pretty good to be honest. The only real difficult thing to find is allot of items for Cricut machines as well as others that are past of a niche market. Not to mention products like this are expensive anyhow. All said and done, this is probably my favorite store (Wether it is the wife going on or myself).

I went in last night 7/19/25 around 7:50pm to return it. The man behind the counter did not appear to want to help anyone. I asked to do a return and he asked what was wrong. I told him what happened and he said he needed to call a manager. She said because I had used it I could not return it. I said their policy states if I am unhappy with my purchase I can return it within 60 days with the receipt. I only attempted to use it. Obviously I was not happy with my purchase since it didn't work for what I needed it for. She still declined my return so I left and called the Lakewood store. I asked about the return policy and told them what happened and they said they didn't understand why Lacey would not allow me to do a return. I had to drive 40 min to return my item. From now on I'll drive 40 min to spend my money. Lacey customer service is trash and they will not be receiving my business anymore.

The very first time I have ever stepped foot into a Michael's buisness/store was tonite. My children and I were minding our own, just shopping, all of a sudden a man with black hair stepped in front of me and said its time to go, I look at him cause I knew the store wasn't closed yet, and he said I need to leave and not cause a scene, I looked at him confused and I said what did we do, the man then stated "my boss caught you breaking things" I said We didn't break anything, I questioned again, what did we do & what did we break? The man again said its best you leave before there's problems, and we cause a scene. As I was walking out the lady at the registered mean mugged me and stared me down like there was no tomorrow. She has blonde/light brown long hair. As my girls and I were in Michael's store some lady, older lady with blonde/white hair up in a bun kept coming up to my girls and I asking if there was anything in particular I was looking for, I replied no and mentioned it was my very first time in the store and you have your glitter on sale buy one get one half off and that I create tumblers and I was just excited about the glitter sale. The lady again mentioned let her know and then she mentioned we have been their for awhile. Im a single mother, who recently just got into a place 7 weeks go, where recently we were homeless couch surfing for a lil over a year. I still have no idea why my children and I were targets.

One trip we sat by the window and we were all boiling!!! On their Facebook/IG it always says come in and enjoy A/C but the employee told us it's always super hot by the windows, so no hope of a cool environment if you're in a big party. On another visit (with my 5yr old) it took them almost 50min to bring out her Italian soda. We basically took it to go at that point. I also feel like prices have gone up a lot. The average piece is around $50 or you can paint a ceramic animal for closer to $20. Overall I know I'll be back because the employees are great and getting to paint your own pottery is fun, but I wish the building/food experience was better! Still 4 stars, and watch their social media for deals!

When it's busy, the place can get awfully squishy so I'd recommend making a reservation during weekends and holiday seasons. They also have coffee and ice cream. Regardless of the season, they still push out the finished projects in the same time so we were there on a Sunday, our items were ready for pick up the next Monday. Once your seat is reserved, you walk in and pick your items to paint and a helper will bring it to your table. The paints are on the table and you need to find the number that matches the sample pallet, which is very helpful because it shows you what the paint will look like afterwards. You can write the numbers on the paper on your table to help remember what colors you're using as a helpful tip. There's many sizes of brushes and paint pens. Afterwards add your name on the bottom and take a picture of your work, that's how you claim it.

My family has been sponsoring a Kenyan family and it's the right thing to do even if we eat cheap ramen to make it happen. The manager was super nice, explaining available rewards as well as discounts days! I felt the prices were fair, and an abundance of treasures awaited to find new homes. Great place to upcycle.
