This is a GW outlet so you're not gonna get anything fancy lol. It's the leftover stuff that's broken and a bit shabby. But shoutout to the employees. They are always pretty nice. Once I left my purse in my cart and they went to extra lengths trying to find me. They used the intercom and were walking around trying to ID me. At the time I didn't realize it was me they were looking for. I just really appreciate that extra effort. Also I prefer this site over Tacoma. Sigh! Well I was amped for this new Goodwill since now we will have 3 in Lacey. This one is an outlet format where there a bins lined up with all sorts of items many of which are damaged or broken as well as others in good shape tossed in the bins. If you are looking for something specific I would advise going to a regular GW as you can walk directly to the section you need as opposed to literally rummaging through several large bins with no organization to find a needle in a haystack. It wasn't a the lack of organization that threw me off. I can rummage like the best of them. It was the sheer capacity of items in each bin. If you have a few hours to go through the bins with patience, have at it. I couldn't help feeling like I'd never get done. I found a lot of items missing large portions of their overall parts or just general trash inside the bins. I also found very sharp and dangerous items in the bins. So, take your time and move your hand slowly into the bins because even the soft clothing bins have heavy items like drills and bowling balls in them or saws and silverware. I'll be back when I have more patience because the prices are decent if you're getting a lot. If you're getting one or two items it may not be to your benefit. read more

This place was an actual joke. You would think that it was some game show to likes of Supermarket Sweep with the way people behave. "T Shirt Heads" linger in the shadows and eagerly wait for the new bins to be rolled out. Once the sales associate says, "GO!" they begin furiously digging and tossing merchandise, clothing and elbows. If they find a single piece of clothing, they bring it back to their dirty blanket covered cart and continue to linger until the next bins arrive. For the regular folk that are trying to find a treasure, good luck rubbing elbows with these seasoned bin pickers. It also wreaked of piss and I couldn't help but think that a rat was going jump out of a bin at any given time. read more

I absolutely LOVE Goodwill outlet bins. I've been to one in California and since moving out to Lacey, have religiously come here before going to any other thrift store. The deals here are INSANE. If you can't deal with crowds, digging or aggressive people, this is not the place for you. There's plenty of parking up front and I suggest grabbing a cart either from outside or inside AS soon as Its empty (It's that crazy here). Bring gloves if you don't want to touch things with your bare hands. Nothing is organized, so with that said, be prepared to dig to find the treasures! Books here were 49 cents a piece (which in some ways is good especially for heavy cookbooks which I hunt for everytime I go thrifting). Frames were 25 cents a piece and all the clothes are charged by weight (per pound). Digging through bins is therapeutic for me in a weird way, the treasures are endless and you save hella money here! (Just need to go through bins of junk). I've gotten brand new or close to new condition named brand clothes here for 90% off its original price in stores. As for other bargain hunters, it gets aggressive but I had 0 issues here. LOVE this place and all of the goodies I have brought home! read more

This goodwill is nearby so I decided to check it out. The store is large and clean. There are lines of bins filled to the brim with books, clothes, shoes, hats, toys, and miscellaneous items. Items are put together roughly by type, but not by size. The bins full of books and VHS were massive. I loved the book area! There was a nice selection of children's books and gardening. The shoe area was a bit more of a challenge because there were quite a few shoes without mates. I didn't have time to look through the clothing or bedding bins. I'll definitely check that out later. Digging through items wasn't a problem for me. Everything I selected were items sold by the pound. I left with 2 huge armfuls after only spending $5. I'll definitely come back. Note: -If you are a person who gets sensory overload by being around noise (the ambient music is loud and then there is the general noise of shopping) or crowds, this may not be the place for you. -If you are a wheelchair user or use a walker it's difficult to maneuver around all of the carts/bins. As a media collector, I have been to Goodwill Outlet stores before. I'm aware of how their system works and I know that good deals can often be found at these interesting thrift stores. That being said, this particular location is very unimpressive in terms of how it is laid out. As with other Goodwill Outlets, they roll out bins full of random goods that haven't necessarily been assorted. Most people don't know this, but it's common practice for them to sift through and find anything that might be especially valuable to sell online. The problem here isn't the bins, but rather the complete lack of any sense of organization. At other Goodwill Outlets, you can tell that they've at least sorted through the goods enough to ensure nothing dangerous or otherwise harmful might end up in there. As I understand it, Goodwill commonly receives old weapons and even hand grenades from WWII that they must have removed from the premises before continuing the job of sifting through everything they receive. Let's just say that one look at these bins made me feel uneasy. In my hunt for media alone, I nearly impaled myself on broken records at least two dozen times. Going through that bin without gloves is just begging for injury. I've watched people dumpster dive for old books and media on YouTube, and I can tell you that some dumpsters are literally better organized and safer to sift through than these bins. This is not an overreaction, this is a plea to the company to resolve what could become a serious health risk. At some of the other Goodwill Outlet stores I have visited, records are all lined up and in sleeves in the bin. Here, they are scattered, broken, scratched, and downright dangerous. While hunting for media, I came across several empty DVD and Video Game cases. Once or twice there was an actual disc inside, but even then, it was usually scratched. At $2 a piece? There are at least half a dozen thrift stores and pawn shops in the area with comparable or better prices, and you won't out yourself at risk just trying to find something worth buying. What can I say? I probably won't be returning to this location. Not worth the effort or the time. read more

It was my first time going to goodwill so I had no idea what to expect. Please, remember to bring gloves if you want to actually find things you'll be wanting to take home. It is quite time consuming cause it's not organized(the bins are really messy) and if you're specifically trying to find something, that's going to be hard! The place isn't the cleanest and the bathrooms smelled horrible but for the price, it was kind of worth it. I did a lot of digging(you kinda have to if you want to find anything worth your time) and went home with a whole big box that cost me around $11. They charge you by the weight which is pretty cool cause clothes barely weigh anything. I gave the clothes a couple washes and the smell from the clothes were gone and they looked like new! I love this place, however the shoppers can be pretty rude and aggressive. The staff are always friendly, the customers however are a different story. I've had other shoppers bump into me, run to bins trying to get past others, and telling me to give them what I'm holding... never experienced shoppers like this before. read more

Despite what you may have read or been told, they do not sell everything by the pound. Hardback books are $1, DVDs are $1.99, CDs are $1, paperback books are fifty cents. Those are the prices from the receipt. There are no prices posted anywhere . Something we bought cost $7. We were unpleasantly surprised when when the cashier gave us the total. There were LOTS of people filling shopping carts with stuff, so maybe you have to know what the good deals are there. read more

This was a super nice experience, the place seems newly open and is spacious and the staff is patience and nice, I had been in other outlets and this doesn't seem that stuffy and chaotic, I managed to be there for three hours straight with 4 kids (different ages) and was actually a happy experience, bathrooms are fairly clean, you can grab a snack if you get a lil hungry and in top of everything, I felt Blessed with $20 dls I found inside a phone case I got in my pile, my bill was $40 so I got $20 "off" 50% heavenly discount! I love coming here and leaving with things I never thought I would find! Yes you have to dig and dig and could spend hours doing so but it is fun treasure hunting! I would advise wearing gloves due to sharp objects such as glass and needles. read more

Bizarre layout. Empty factory store with 20 or so bins. Very messy and unorganized. Not sure what the deal was with that. I Stepped in and walked right back out to the regular goodwill on the Westside. Don't recommend unless there is crazy bargains that I'm not aware of. read more
