I bought a Bauformat Vanity because I liked the unique curved shape. It was not cheap. Total cost was $2,656. I was told at the time of purchase, in June, the vanity would not be delivered for several months because the factory workers in Germany take off the entire month of July. After buying it, the problems started. I was told that rather than arrive in September as I was told, it would now arrive in October. When it finally arrived I asked for and was provided with several Bauformat approved installers (which are required for installation to maintain warrantee protection). When I called these people they either didn't call back, or told me they were too busy to instal my vanity. When I complained to the Bauformat retailer, Surfaces USA, rather than find a responsible installer for me, they told me that I would have to sign a waiver form. The waiver was demanded since I was going to have to have a non Bauformat installer install my vanity - because there was no Bauformat approved installer available, or in existence. Because of this situation, beyond my control, they wanted to get out responsibility and have me state that I understood the warranty did not apply. I was told by the owner of Surfaces USA I would have to sign the waiver before they would allow me to take possession of my previously paid for vanity. When I objected to their demand they relented and said I could pick it up. Their delays cost me another several weeks of waiting. It was then late November. I contacted a representative at Bauformat (Eric) to ask about specific instructions for installation since they were incapable of providing a so called "Bauformat approved" installer. He was not interested in helping me find a "Bauformat approved" installer. He was exceptionally rude and condescending. In an angry impatient voice he told me, "I have never had to talk to a customer in 11 years!" I told him I would pick up the vanity and have it installed myself. He told me the vanity had to be installed "the German way". I asked him if he could provide instructions for installation, which he never provided. When the vanity was picked up from their warehouse (in Southgate), not Anaheim where I purchased it, the box had a very nice booklet with instructions - IN GERMAN. For the amount I paid, I expected better customer service from all involved. What I received was obstruction, rudeness, and un-professionalism. The entire experience was extremely frustrating to say the least.

From the start, Hanna really stood out. He's not just a contractor--he genuinely knows what he's doing. He walked me through everything, explained the process, and caught multiple issues from the previous work that I didn't even realize were problems. Instead of cutting corners, he fixed everything the right way. They handled new framing, opening up walls, plumbing corrections, and a full rebuild of the space. The craftsmanship really shows, especially in the details. The shower tile work is flawless, and the shampoo niche came out super clean and well-designed. The new tile flooring ties everything together perfectly, and the paint finish gives the whole bathroom a fresh, modern coastal feel. Wes was also great to work with--professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in his work. You can tell these guys care about doing things properly, not just getting the job done. What I appreciated most was the honesty and attention to detail. Hanna is just a great guy overall--easy to talk to, reliable, and someone you can trust to make the right decisions on your project. Bathroom passed inspection, and Hanna, and Wes handled the inspection process professionally. If you're thinking about remodeling and want it done right, I highly recommend Hanna and Wes. They completely transformed my bathroom and fixed what others messed up. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I will use them for future projects in the future.

I really wanted to like Bodega Style. I was actually warned to avoid them and referred somewhere…read moreelse, but decided to give them a chance anyway. At first, everything seemed great. They were one of the few places I found that carried prefabricated quartz countertops within my budget. That's where the positive experience ended though. The countertops that came in looked like a watered down version of the floor sample, much more plain and washed out. I understand these are manufactured items and won't be identical, but they should still be in the same range as what is displayed. We even reordered with a different style, thinking that might solve the issue, but the second set had the same problem. After two failed attempts, I tried to cancel the order altogether. The items never left the facility, but Bodega would not allow a return. My contractor even tried to convert the order into store credit to use for another client, and that request was also refused. Customer service only added to the frustration. I came in right at opening one day because I needed to get in and out quickly before work. Despite that, I was passed over while staff handled a large tile delivery, which could have easily been done before opening or at a less busy time. I understand waiting my turn, but this felt poorly managed and inconsiderate, and it nearly made me late. Overall, this was a disappointing experience on multiple levels. Between the product issues, lack of flexibility, and poor service, I would not recommend coming here.

"Well, if we're going to replace the toilet in here, we might as well rip this cheap flooring out that came with the condo and put in new tile..." This lead to a new mirror, sink, fixtures, a new countertop, a new tub, etc So he again puts me to work on a weekend and said use your Yelp elite skills and find us a place to go. I said well, we live by the mile of tile... but I do my research anyways. TBH - the first time we walked in, I didn't get the warm and fuzzies. I mean I don't want to be stalked while shopping but, I do want to be acknowledged esp since we had questions. Anyways, we ended getting help from Ana and it's been great since. My husband is in charge of this project so he mostly deals with the contractor, our vendors, etc There's plenty of variety to choose from and besides Ana, we had been helped by others when she's not there. Everyone is helpful and gives you options based on what you tell them you're looking for. I'm sure we will be back for more projects in the future!
