We must have missed the 10 min heads up because all of a sudden they announced they were closed. My husband took a couple of things to the register to get rung up. There was an employee standing at the door who saw me taking pictures. She told me that they brought in some bottles of alcoholic beverages that they normally don't carry and had me follow her to where they were so that I could take pictures of them. We came back the next day just so I could finish looking around. They have so many cool things! (You can tell how much I enjoyed it from the many pictures that I took.) We walked up and down almost every aisle and must have spent over an hour here! Sign up to receive texts from World Market and you'll save 15% off your purchase.

This used to be a wonderful place to take my daughter for summer camps and teacher workday camps…read more She started at Flour Power when she was about 2-1/2 in the classes they had for littles, then started going there for camps when she started school and she's 13 now. This year things have really changed there for the worse...there are WAY too many kids in the space and almost the entire staff turned over. I've been debating about no longer going there after this summer is over, and this morning was the last straw. I dropped my daughter off and there were 2-3 staff people in the front kitchen and NO ONE acknowledged us or greeted my daughter. This is really sad and insulting. I realize the staff were busy but nothing should stand in the way of greeting a customer and making them feel welcomed if you want them to return. If they don't realize someone is coming in because there is too much chaos, maybe they need to tie bells on the door.

The studio is very colorful with lots of decor and several tables and chairs in the front of the business. Aprons are also provided. I heard about the adult chef series from the owner Debbie at the north hills block party. She was really nice and excited about this event. At the chef series event she told us that they had just started the adult cooking classes about 6 months ago and that they are so much fun. For today's event they had a special food and wine pairing with Total Wine. The Wine Steward, Nathaniel, recommended certain wines that would go well with the items that we prepared this evening. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He also gave us coupons for future purchases at Total Wine. This was my first times at a cooking studio so I thought that each person or group that came together would prepare all of the recipes but each table ended up making one of the 3 recipes. This ended up working out well because the two hours would not have been long enough for everyone to do all of the recipes. Our table ended up making the southern cornbread but since it was a quick recipe we also assisted with the Butternut Squash/Apple & Pear Soup. The last table made the Spicy White Bean Chicken Chili. The food was really good and filling. I thought that the chili was going to be really spicy because it had green chili peppers but it had the perfect amount of heat. I didn't know what to expect from the soup but it had great flavor. The cornbread was not bad but our table thought that it was missing something. The butter that was provided helped. The wine tasting occurred while our food was cooking. It started off well but then when a few of us left to finish the soup we never really got back on track with it. I enjoyed hearing Debbie tell us about the past and future adult chef series classes and the children's classes. We also enjoyed being able to meet and interact with so many cool people at our table. Debbie and her staff were very helpful providing us with utensils, drinks, directions, etc. We had a great time!

All of the scents were incredible, and I'm especially pleased with the lemongrass and sage blend (I believe that's the scent I chose). There were a plethora of candle scent selections I was just drawn to lemongrass. There was a wide variety on candles on sale for purchase. A great value for last minute gift ideas. Yuki was so pleasant and welcoming, and I truly appreciated her patience as I asked the same questions multiple times. lol Her support made the experience even better, and I'm grateful for her help with my candle. It was a wonderful experience overall! I was hoping for more opportunities to personalize the branding of my candle. Perhaps you could include blank stickers featuring the Candle Shop name with a space for customers to write our name or intention of their creation. I think this would add an extra layer of value and a personal touch for your customers. Just a suggestion!"

What this place does look like it is good for is for your inner party planner to come out and do something that's like above and beyond amazing! The type of the decorations that grace these doors are giving very Gallantines Day vibes with a pinch of Saturday morning brunch. I'm talking cocktail napkins with cheeky sayings and quirky board games, and lots of really beautiful high quality cards. Also, in the back one of their employees was very much engaged in a wedding consultation for a couple, and it was clear that they know all of the event planners in town. This place is definitely a great resource if you're willing to spend a little bit more time and energy on your creative party planning needs. I unfortunately walked out empty-handed cuz I was definitely looking for more of a down to earth Black Girl Magic vibe and well, this ain't it. That said, I will probably be back to plan my daughter's next birthday celebration.

This one is conveniently located to me and was frequently visited right after I moved here. It's very hard, almost impossible, to see from Strickland Road. It's behind the Cook Out restaurant, between Food Lion and Home Depot. BB&B has more than bed and bath stuff - nearly anything you could want for your bedroom, bathroom or kitchen can be found here. Other items are available like iHomes for your iPods, picture frames, wall art, patio furniture, humidifiers, fans and even some As Seen On TV gadgets. Most of them time, particularly with the kitchen section, it can be nearly impossible to figure out where you might find something -- items aren't always where you'd think they'd be. BB&B has a Wedding Registry also. The prices are fairly high though; I rarely visit BB&B without one of their 20% off coupons which arrive in the mail every so often. I've been looking for a while for a replacement filter for my humidifier I bought from them with no luck. This past weekend I was on the hunt for some deep dish stoneware, also with no luck. I recommend visiting here -- with the coupon. Otherwise, try another store where you'll get more bang for your buck.
