Hobby Lobby isn't my first pick when it comes to craft stores due to some of their corporate beliefs. But Hobby Lobby is the most extensive craft store and sometimes they are the only spot with what you need. I went in specifically looking for something online and luckily a friendly employee was able to direct me to the right aisle. I wish their online store showed which aisle the item was in store like they do at Michaels. Like similar stores I wouldn't pay full price on anything there and hopefully you can get your item 50% off list price. I will say all the employees I encountered were friendly and they did have a lot of check out lanes open. This store is off Capital Blvd and it is a little crazy trying to get out of the parking lot if you need to go left. I ended up just making a U-turn to get where I needed to go. read more

Went to the hobby lobby in great spirits to find fabric and great customer service. Well I found fabric! The female in the photo is Kim, when we approached the counter with fabric and laid it on the table I plainly asked Kim if She was the person who cuts? Kim decided to respond with a huge exhale and obvious distain towards us as she states, "I am the one who cuts but I can't with him standing in my way!" I then stated, "excuse me"? Kim states, " he's in my way and shouldn't be back there in the first place!" I asked Kim is it obvious that people are not supposed to be standing by the counter on that side? I told Her I don't see a register or a sign. She states, " it's very obvious." Now, I had decide how I was going to respond next and my decision was to take her photo and put it on here in hopes that managers will get a hold of this and her. I chose not to address the manager about the horrible attitude and service we were getting because the store was busy. I also want to say the only time I seen any decency from Kim was when her guest that were shopping there came by whilst she was supposed to be cutting my fabric.. to ask her where Kim's items to be purchased were at... Kim gave her the items and expressed to her she was ready to leave and would be out shortly. Needed a couple of room dividers. Found one that I liked in the furniture area with a 30% discount. Went over one aisle where an employee was stocking shelves and asked if she could assist me. She quickly and politely got the product number, went to see if they had the 2nd one, and came back to me and told me where two of the room dividers were located in the store. When I found the two I liked, I spoke with another employee about wanting to purchase them, but i didn't want to mess with the display. She took the product tag off one of them, told me to take it to the cashier, and then called for someone to be at the front door to load the purchase for me. I really like hobby lobby a lot it's like a 1 stop shop for everything crafts, home just everything. This was my first time at this particular location. I went because I need the small bags for gifts that I am putting together. The store is inside of a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. I ended up parking near the door. One thing that I notice is that the parking spaces are really close so if you have a small child I would recommend parking a little further away. When I entered the store I noticed how organized everything was. Everything had a spot which is kind of difficult to do when a store is this large but they did it and I was impressed. I found what I was looking for with no problem the shelves were well stocked and had everything I needed. The cashier that checked me out was very nice too. She was patient and wore a smile which was great. Overall awesome store and I would go back. read more

I am so disappointed with this location's customer service by the employee named Arlene. I came to this location seeking a specific floral item that I found a blogger had purchased just days ago. I first asked an employee named Asia, who was delightful but said she would need to grab someone else who could search the inventory for me. She found Arlene, who proceeded to tell me that "if we have it, it would be in floral"... I asked if she could look up the item to see if it was in stock. Her response was the same "if we have it, It would be in floral" I then asked if she could help me look for it and for the third time was told the exact same thing. Finally, I said "so to clarify, you're not able to look it up or help me search" and she once again responded that "if we have it, it would be in floral" and rolled her eyes at me. I rarely ever come to this store but won't be back to this location if I think I will need any assistance at all. read more

Horrible customer service. That store should win first place for being rude, arrogant and just plain nasty towards there customers. Not all!! I've had pleasant experiences with only a couple of employees in my 8 years going there. Example: I bought wedding invitations for my niece back in August which I planned to print myself upon opening them when I got home I noticed the boxes where already opened and they had missing envelopes, reception cards. Each of the 4 boxes where already opened and incomplete. I obviously returned them and mentioned to the manager that they are not a complete set. Well I show up yesterday to buy ribbon and I just so happened to walk by the bridal section and what I see where the boxes ready to be resold all taped up and half empty. Now !! Some other person will buy them realize the same thing happened to me and get the third degree when they return it. read more

There is wonderful lady by the name of Wendy who is a real angel and you can ask her anything, even the wierdest request and she will always find exactly what you are looking for need. I never have to wonder I know she will know what I am talking about and will find exactly what you were looking for. So many of the employees are so nice and knowledgeable about their job. read more

I love crafting and DIYa and Hobby Lobby is always my first stop and they always have what I need which I love because I only have to make one stop. They have a rotating sales so something is always on sale. They have great prices and have a running 40% off one item coupon which comes in handy each visit. If you aren't there to stick to a list, it's easy to spend more time then you realize in the store looking at everything in every isle. This post has everything to do with the hiring process and what you get when you are forced to apply online. It's a grab bag. You have no idea what you're going to get. That couldn't be more evident when you are trying to assist the poor employee who should, in theory, have some working knowledge about how the sales work. It is a backward, outdated mode of entering sales items by checking your laminated paper sales flyer. If you decide to go all high tech and use a POS system, go all in. Enter the sales items weekly, it would really give the struggling employees a leg up. I'm all for in person hiring and having to meet people face to face before making them the front line of your company. With companies out there like Amazon and Walmart.com, people don't need to leave home, please make shopping in person a viable option. This isn't it. Hire in person, speak to the job applicant. There's a lot you don't know when you randomly and blindly, choose an online application. Companies complain that they can't hire anyone, nobody wants to work. Absolutely UNTRUE! So bad. Went in yesterday to specifically ask to return something without its receipt for a refund. The woman said yes, absolutely. Today I go in with the item and they will only now provide a store credit for the amount forcing me to spend it again in their store because they can't find it in their computer. Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores. Any and everything you are looking for can be found here. However, this location I will avoid from now own. Very long check out lines, very long fabric cutting waits and it's impossible to find someone to ask for help. Every time I've been, I've purchased something that had a 40/50% sign still "accidentally" left on the shelf and have had to fight with management to have the discount taken since that's how it was advertised in the store. I would 100% recommend Hobby Lobby, but not this store. read more

Phenomenal customer service by Matt M. in the framing department! My husband and I were wanting some custom frames with matting but after quoting realized it was just out of our budget! Matt not only helped us with quoting but also helped us not to feel pressured in to spending money we really just didn't have. We ended up buying some off the shelf frames and having him put wires on the back for hanging! He was extremely polite, patient, and went above and beyond with recommendations and putting the frames and prints together! read more

Our first experience at hobby lobby was absolutely terrible. Horrible customer service. Store manager Edward Parker treated us very poorly. Extremely disappointed in our experience as we have heard so many good things about this. The costumer support has been less than ideal. I do not recommend this store to say the least. This was my second visit to the Raleigh location. The first thing I noticed were the long lines. I searched for an employee to help me locate what I was looking for. I spotted someone and asked her where the elastic headbands where. The employee pointed over to the right and said that the elastic were behind the fabric. I still had no idea of where that was, so basically I was to find the elastic on my own because, she walked away. I wasn't upset because I figured she was busy. To be honest she could of at least walked me over to the elastic. I found what I needed and the cashier was VERY pleasant and she made my whole trip worth it. I suggest that no matter how "busy" an employee may be it only takes seconds to walk a customer over to what they are looking for. read more

I have been to this location multiple times and have always had a nice experience. Customer service is great - the stock-room associate Johnathan was exceptionally friendly and kind. This location always has a good amount of stock on hand and if they are low in something, are happy to order it for you. Also, the 50% off discounts don't hurt either!
