Some of the furniture advantageously displays the other collection for which the shop is known: Chalk Paint and workshops for learning how to work with it. From what I saw and heard, it sounds pretty straightforward and much easier to work with than ordinary paint. The added bonus is that to get the paint, I won't have to drive to their location on the other side of Raleigh to get it. Unlike many shops of this kind, walking around without knocking something over is do-able. There is lots of light, thanks to the large windows, and wide enough aisles to view the painted and unpainted furniture, or check out the glassware, the antiques, or even the scarves or jewelry. It's a nice store, and an even nicer addition to downtown Apex. It'll be fun to watch the inventory change as the seasons change.

My best friend had arrived earlier and saved us seats close to the instructor, which made the experience even better. The owner was so patient, kind, and attentive throughout the class. The class itself was very beginner-friendly and easy to follow. She walked us through each step, making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. It was such a fun and relaxing experience. I truly didn't want it to end! I left feeling inspired and honestly like I had found a new hobby. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to try something creative and fun!

We were advised to pick the pieces that we wanted to paint and seat ourselves at a table. The pieces that we chose ranged from $11-23 each. There were other pieces that were higher and lower as well. There was no extra fees besides tipping the employees if you choose to. We chose a turtle, a frog, & a monster. Anna was helpful in assisting us during the process of painting our pieces & bringing out the different paints and brushes that we needed. We were satisfied with our pieces when we were finished and can't wait to get the final pieces after they are cured by the business.

For far less money than what other chain art-creation-team-building-events asked, Art Post created a custom activity for our group and created a laid-back atmosphere that encouraged creativity but also socializing. I also observed a class with younger children and the teacher was patient and also encouraging of creativity with the kids. Overall, I was very impressed with their community outreach and artistic philosophy. They also host some really great outdoor markets on the weekend where you can find lots of great local art and music!

There were no snacks and the owners stated that this was due to Covid. When I asked what they served prior to Covid, the Owner said chips and pretzels. They served cheap wine in a plastic cup, deer park water, and a few can drinks. My co-workers stated that the wine was horrible. The owners stated that we could only have 1 small portion of wine so that we could remain focused on our work. They also stated if you brought your own bottle in, you could only have a small portion, which ended up being less than half a cup. Our group felt rushed as the Owner kept reminding us of our time. Before we started painting the owner stated that they needed to change the music to more fast paced music so that we could end on time. Stencils were used and the Facilitator of the class didn't even paint along with us to provide direction. The one painting that he had up looked like another inexperienced customer painted it and that's what they used as a guide. They used paper plates to put our paint on. Usually at more quality events, small plastic painters pallets are used. The energy was off as soon as we walked in, but they posted the event on Eventbrite and we could not get our money refunded. I'm not even sure if these people know much about art. The only direction that was given during the class was letting you know what colors to mix and how to hold 1 brush. Trust me...don't waste your time!!! This place is cheap and that is the experience that you will get for $40. Be blessed!

There was way too much jewelry for a crafty guy to be looking at. My daughter thought it was cool, but I left feeling like I had wasted my time checking out a craft store that seemed to be about 80% jewelry 10% tin and 10% other varieties. I wish I had the time to make and consign items for this store, but alas, I rarely have the time to enjoy my woodworking hobby as it is, much less to stress over whether or not I could keep up with any demand for production. Maybe there are too many guys like me out there in the same boat.
