I this some people come in to this class with the wrong expectations, which leads them to give a negative review. You need to remember - this is a class, not a restaurant. Yes, you're paying to make a meal, but you're also paying to learn. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal we made (chicken marsala, salad, polenta, and gelato). Chef Bradford was a 10/10. Fun, polite, but also serious to not allow any nonsense happen. A great teacher. Yes- you share a station with another couple (at least we did). We got lucky - our paired couple was on point and polite. I feel we made enough food to be full. I would totally come back for another class! CON: the one thing I wish they did was to be able to sit when eating the meal. It is awkward to stand and eat. I understand they maybe don't want to use regular seats because maybe we would get too comfortable and sit for too long (they sometimes do classes back to back), but then maybe do a small bar stool.

I came to Sur La Table for a team outing with my coworkers and it was so much fun! My coworkers and I took a cooking class and made the most amazing risotto and chicken. The cooking class was fun, entertaining and it was so easy to follow along with our chef, Steven. His attitude made the class even more enjoyable. Everything was portioned out and the steps were given by the chef who helped along the way. While we cooked, we drank wine. We also got a tour of the shop and learned about different cookware. The staff were super friendly and the shop so clean and beautifully laid out. Since we took a group cooking class, we received 10% off of any purchase that day and $10 dollars off our next cooking class. I highly recommend Sur La Table for a team outing or a cute date. After our cooking class, the chef made us dessert - strawberries with a custard like sauce. Everything was delicious. I would def do this again!

Received a gift to attend a cooking class which is located inside the store - we had a nice time and it was a fun activity. We made an appetizer, entree and dessert. Food was food. Dessert was panna cotta (prob my least favorite lol) We were coupled with another couple who we didn't know - to be completely honest I get grossed out by other people's hands touching my food but overall the experience was nice. It's a good gift as well! They also give you a discount should you want to shop at the store - fun experience!

**This review is based on the cooking classes they offer.** Signed up for tamale cooking classes and it was a blast. The instructor was super helpful and walked us through each step with great detail. We also made Mexican hot chocolate which was the perfect match! The only bad thing is you cannot bring the tamales you make as they are not a restaurant and won't allow you to bring it home. I would recommend you treat the cooking class as dinner also so you can eat what you make. Afterwards you are emailed the recipe with details. I look forward to the next cooking class here, would recommend!

My group of 7 attended the Latin cooking night taught by Tonya for one of our good friend's birthday. This was our first time at this cooking class, though we've taken others before. I really appreciated Tonya's attention to each table & her cooking tips that I'll be able to utilize at home on a daily basis. I also have to shout out Andrew for his attentiveness. He made sure that each table had everything we needed for the meal & was quick with cleanup. The food was seasoned SO well. Our steak was cooked to a delicious medium rare. The elote also had jalapeño & tomato which is an element I'm not used to. Lastly our chimichurri sauce for the steak was DIVINE. Tonya spoiled us even further with a watermelon Fresca drink. I'm not sure what we did to deserve the treatment we received (paid $90 lol) but I'm also not complaining either. The only only only wish I had was that they add chairs so that we could have sat down to enjoy our delicious meal. I'd still recommend. Hope to enjoy another class here!

Knew that there were lots of kitchen supply stores in and around LES. So wandered around seeing if stores had the doughnut cutter. Got referred to this place by another store. Easy fast transaction with the friendly staff and will definitely be back instead of buying something on Amazon!

The aisles are really narrow and everywhere you look, you'll see merchandise from the floor to the ceiling. In some spots you'll need to suck in that gut to get through,.. this isn't a Williams and Sonoma at all. LOL There also aren't signs pointing out where things are and yes, there may not be prices on anything,.. LOL. Honestly they don't cater to the small time customers like me, but nonetheless their prices will definitely be better than at the previously mentioned merchant. For my visit, I knew what I wanted for my foray into making pizza dough, I needed a container to store my rising dough. I also needed a bunch of squeeze bottles so knew exactly what to ask for. I didn't need much interaction with staff, but I was able to find one staff member who was very helpful pointing me in the right direction for what I needed and finding the cover to the container I was going to buy. I was in and out quickly on a Saturday afternoon so I'd say if you know what you want and are ok with a little less than 5 star service for the price,.. you should be ok.

For those who know, a Chinese cleaver is not a bone cleaver, it is used like a Chefs knife and cannot break through bone. The cleaver was heavily damaged and I was looking for a place to help me repair and sharpen the blade. Indulge Kitchen Supplies was one of the only places that responded and I am glad they did. The store itself is on a main street with a fair amount of street parking and the store is super cute. The store sells a variety of kitchen gear from different knives, cutlery, utensils, etc. Most of the curated items are modern and high quality such as Durelex glass and Global Knives. While their prices are a little higher than online prices, they have quality stuff and I recommend buying from them. Their knife sharpening and repair was a life saver for me. The Chinese Cleaver is a large knife and they were able to get it done for me in less than a day and it was fully repaired. Looking at the photos you can see that they took out all the dings on the knife and sharpened it back to the point where I could use it again. I highly recommend this service and would readily come back when I need any knife repair or sharpening.

Always found William Sonoma an interesting place to window shop, especially for ideas…read more Their William Sonoma brand shelf stable food items can work well as a nice gift for the holidays... especially when you want to bring something fancy, packaged well, that the recipient will know you paid a premium for... and something they'd unlikely buy for themselves. However, typically gift those on my list something other than food. Given my extensive inherited and elsewhere sourced kitchen equipment, utensils, tableware, it's not a place I'd ever purchase anything in those categories. For example, I'm fully stocked in enamel coated cast iron cookware, although it's nice to check out their Le Creuset selection. (Important to me since I've completely stopped using non-stick cookware.) If you follow my reviews, you may be surprised I'm also not in the market for a fully automatic espresso machine that costs over $4K! (To be precise, list their exclusive Jura Z10 for $4299.95 plus tax. Wow! Glad William Sonoma made it a better deal by shaving off that nickel - which amounts to 5 now obsolete pennies.) That being said, I'm sure William Sonoma is a great place for a wedding registry, although could easily believe their non-exclusive items are cheaper online.

Williams Sonoma, I have a question for you: why lie to your customers?…read more I went to this WS location because it's in my neighborhood. I was looking to purchase two items and struck out on both. First item: a 10-inch Heston pan (to replace a much-used one in my kitchen). No dice. They have sets of two or more but you can't just buy one, so I was told by the snippy guy who "helped" me. Strike one. Second item: a SodaStream replacement cylinder. I brought in the empty one and asked about purchasing a new one. They said they're "having problems with the supplier -- nobody can find them anywhere." This was the same story they told me 4 months ago. At that time, I was able to purchase one around the corner at the hardware store. Again today, I was able to easily get one at the same hardware store. My question: why lie? Clearly it is not difficult to get these cylinders, they're available all over the city. Yet WS continues to give customers this bogus excuse. They really should just fess up that they don't want to be in the business of selling these things. WS is still listed on the SodaStream website as a cylinder refill supplier. They should be removed from that list -- and they should just send people around the corner when they ask. It's the decent thing to do. I'm finished with this place.
