This is supposed to be buttercream frosting.

I took a macaron baking class. HORRIBLE!! The "instructor" barely knew how to bake and use equipment. The macarons were flat, some undercooked some overcooked. She twice ruined the buttercream frosting, used a meat thermometer for the curd, all together, horrible. Not at all hands on as it was supposed to be. I cannot believe they allow her to "teach"

I took an amazing cooking class here recently. We learned how to make croissant dough and use it to make different types of pastries. Nobody else registered for the class, so my friend and I had a private class all to ourselves. Our instructor was terrific and had so many tips and tricks for us to work with the dough and the different pastries we made together: fruit turnovers, kouign amann, and palmiers. I would recommend this experience and hope to return again to take one of the Italian or Mediterranean classes next. They also have family-friendly classes for people with kids!

My husband and I did the Date Night sushi making class and had so much fun! We were interested in trying a new skill a little unfamiliar to us and this was the perfect opportunity. They have so many classes to chose from, for a variety of age ranges. The class was small and we all worked together to make some delicious sushi. Our instructor and assistants (sous chefs?) were all very helpful and encouraging throughout the night. We learning about making the perfect sushi rice, preparing your vegetables, and preparing various proteins for our rolls. Then, customized our rolls and enjoyed them with a variety of sauces. Yum! In addition to the class, you get 10% off at the store after your class, a great bonus. Overall, we had a great time and will hopefully comeback for more!

Sur La Table provided the perfect setting to kick off my husband's birthday week celebration. We relished crafting dishes like salmon, salad, French onion soup, and crème brûlée - his favorite. Sous Chef Morgan's kindness and patience enhanced the experience, making us eager to return. The only thing I would suggest is being a tad more considerate with allergies. I put that my hubby has an onion allergy and they reached out inquiring, but I assumed they would allow us to make separate salads for him to enjoy. However, because everything is prepared family style, he was only able to enjoy the salmon and dessert. We both look forward to exploring and purchasing their impressive range of products. Overall, a good experience!

Went here for a cooking classes with friends to make Nashville Hot Chicken. Overall I think it was a great class! We had a coupon for 20% off which made the class more affordable. Can be a bit pricey. We made a lot off food and they instructor was very helpful! Would go back if a I had another coupon.

Shake N Bake I love checking out this store for unique kitchen gadgets! They have a big area in the back for clearance stuff - some of it's the same as what they have upfront but perhaps in a slow selling color. I scored a rubber garlic peeler (which I use all the time!) for a couple bucks. I can't even look at some of the other stuff here. I could drop a bundle on Le Creuset that I don't need.

Attended a Classic Fried Chicken, Nashville Hot Chicken and buttermilk biscuits class at the Sur La Table. We loved this class because it was not about just watching, at these classes, its about doing, real hands-on learning. We chopped, stirred, dredged, fried...and the best part, ATE! The classes are kinda pricey, but learned alot of new things while frying chicken. The instructor (Chef Jake) was very fun, very knowledgable and helpful. I will definitely come back for another class. Their calendar is packed full of classes all month long, every month. If I lived closer I would be there every weekend. Good time!

I was very disappointed in the cooking class i took. It was called the "South American Steak Night"

After initially contacting them, they asked me to send pictures of my home so they could evaluate the cost of the service. Following several exchanges via email and phone, they scheduled a team of two cleaners to come to my home for an initial cleaning, which was intended to be repeated bi-weekly. When the team arrived, their demeanor felt uncomfortable from the beginning. They seemed somewhat cold and distant, and I felt as though they were looking down on me. While my home certainly needed routine cleaning, such as vacuuming and dusting - it was not cluttered or excessively dirty. There were no conditions that could reasonably be described as hazardous or unsanitary. I asked the team to use my personal vacuum cleaner rather than one brought from other homes, as I prefer not to use equipment that may have been used in houses with pets or children. I also have a high-quality vacuum cleaner that works very well. They agreed and began cleaning, though their reserved behavior continued. At first, I assumed they were simply quiet or reserved by nature. However, the situation changed when one of the cleaners entered my bedroom and saw a photograph of my stepdaughter, who is Black. For context, I am Asian. After seeing the photograph, the cleaner suddenly said, "I can't deal with this. I can't do this." When I asked what she meant and requested clarification, she simply said, "All of this," and walked out of my home. Shortly afterward, I received a call from Jennifer from the company, who said, "I'm so sorry, it didn't work out. This is more than we were expecting." Because the cleaning was not completed, I asked about the charges, and they assured me that I would not be billed. The behavior of the cleaning team was shocking and deeply upsetting. I left the interaction feeling as though I had somehow done something wrong, even though I had done nothing inappropriate. After this experience, I contacted Two Maids, and Ivette coordinated a team to come to my home. Their team was kind, professional, and welcoming from the moment they arrived. They had no issues using my vacuum cleaner, in fact, they complimented it. They cleaned my home thoroughly from top to bottom. I was extremely pleased with their service. Based on my experience, I would recommend Two Maids over Sparkle Cleaning Service.

Three days after the carpet cleaning, I noticed a spot on carpet they cleaned that smelled mildewy. I spent the next month researching and trying every remedy (vinegar, baking soda, oxy clean, etc) that I could find recommendations for to get rid of the smell. According to my research, this is a common issue if the water is not fully removed during the cleaning process. Finally, I called Adelman. The person who answered was rude and condescending and refused to acknowledge that this might have been caused by the water not being fully removed from the area affected. I got the same run-around that a previous reviewer did about some hidden stain being "activated". I know the difference between pet and mold smells. I requested that they come and reclean the area. They said they would be charging me again. I asked to speak to someone else and was told the "office manager" would call me back. That was two weeks ago and I have not received a call. Adleman says they stand behind their work, but clearly they do not. I will now have to pay another company to fix their mistake or else replace the carpet and pad that was ruined by their negligence. If you hire them and things go well, you will be pleased as I was in the past. But if there is an issue, good luck getting it resolved.

I had an appointment scheduled, I stayed home to meet them and let them in, and no-one ever showed up. When I called to find out what was going on they argued with me and claimed that a person had been out and knocked on the doors and rang the bell. That's false. I imagine they're probably out of business by now, but if not, I suggest you help them down that path by hiring someone else for your house cleaning needs.

I…read morebelieve in the benefit of the doubt, but in this case I am so incredibly appalled by the entire experience that I believe it is warranted. Despite my initial hesitation due to low Yelp rating, I booked this service as a Mother's Day present to myself due to the fair price and quick quote response from the manager. I really wish I had had listened to my gut and stayed away. The cleaner called me the day of the cleaning to let me know she had just finished her morning assignment and would be five to ten minutes late, which was not a problem with me. She ended up showing up and HOUR late, with no additional communication. She spent two hours cleaning my bathroom with the door closed the entire time, which I though was very odd... considering my bathroom wasn't THAT dirty to begin with, but I let it go and continued do other things around the house and stayed out of her way. After she left, I discovered that she hadn't checked the oven before putting it on self-clean. I had two pizza stones and three of my well-loved, well seasoned pans stored in the oven. My once beautiful pans are now completely stripped, and for anyone who knows anything about cast iron cookware, it is a lengthy process to fix. She apparently took the items out of the oven while hot, and instead of setting them on the oven, she set them on my butcher block island top, leaving a pizza stone shaped singe mark. I had my place cleaned on a Friday, contacted Jake the manager, who said he'd confirm with the cleaner and get back to me the next day. Saturday comes, and crickets. Tuesday rolls around, and I finally reach back out to see what was up. He gives me the runaround and asks for before pictures of my island. Who has pictures of their island tops?? I sure don't. He offers me one hour in free cleaning to compensate for damages. I explain how insulting this is, and explain the dollar costs associated to repair the problems, along with the lengthy processes. I likely underestimated the costs and asked for less than $100... enough for me to buy the oil to attempt to repair the pans, and to purchase an affordable piece of butcher block that I would then need to sand and stain. He asks me why my pans were stored in the oven, and honestly, I didn't think this was that out of the ordinary. Storage is limited and every woman on both sides of my family has always done this. He asks me to give him one more day to confirm with the cleaner. I reluctantly agree. Well, that would have been Wednesday and today is Friday and I've had no response, and at this point, I'm assuming I won't. In addition to the damages, I wasn't super impressed with the thoroughness of the cleaning. Do yourself a favor and don't get lured in by the attractive price. This really is a case of 'you get what you pay for,' including substandard customer service.
