I reached out to Sparkly Cleaning Service after searching for a company to provide regular cleaning for my home. I live with my partner, and we do not have any children or pets. After initially contacting them, they asked me to send pictures of my home so they could evaluate the cost of the service. Following several exchanges via email and phone, they scheduled a team of two cleaners to come to my home for an initial cleaning, which was intended to be repeated bi-weekly. When the team arrived, their demeanor felt uncomfortable from the beginning. They seemed somewhat cold and distant, and I felt as though they were looking down on me. While my home certainly needed routine cleaning, such as vacuuming and dusting - it was not cluttered or excessively dirty. There were no conditions that could reasonably be described as hazardous or unsanitary. I asked the team to use my personal vacuum cleaner rather than one brought from other homes, as I prefer not to use equipment that may have been used in houses with pets or children. I also have a high-quality vacuum cleaner that works very well. They agreed and began cleaning, though their reserved behavior continued. At first, I assumed they were simply quiet or reserved by nature. However, the situation changed when one of the cleaners entered my bedroom and saw a photograph of my stepdaughter, who is Black. For context, I am Asian. After seeing the photograph, the cleaner suddenly said, "I can't deal with this. I can't do this." When I asked what she meant and requested clarification, she simply said, "All of this," and walked out of my home. Shortly afterward, I received a call from Jennifer from the company, who said, "I'm so sorry, it didn't work out. This is more than we were expecting." Because the cleaning was not completed, I asked about the charges, and they assured me that I would not be billed. The behavior of the cleaning team was shocking and deeply upsetting. I left the interaction feeling as though I had somehow done something wrong, even though I had done nothing inappropriate. After this experience, I contacted Two Maids, and Ivette coordinated a team to come to my home. Their team was kind, professional, and welcoming from the moment they arrived. They had no issues using my vacuum cleaner, in fact, they complimented it. They cleaned my home thoroughly from top to bottom. I was extremely pleased with their service. The scheduling was easy and friendly. However, when they say they don't move furniture they should write that they don't move furnishings. She didn't move my 2 wicker baskets even though they were light, she didn't move my kitty litter boxes even though they were clean and she didn't bother to sweep under the bed. There was a very clear line showing where the vacuum ended and the dust began. She didn't dust or get the cobwebs by my albums container. Very satisfied with our Sparkly Cleaning Service experience! Upon moving out of our condo, we wanted to have it deep cleaned to best be set up for showings and selling. Sparkly came up high-rated on Yelp so we decided to give them a go, and are happy we did! Booking the service was seamless! Both Crystal and Vanessa were very responsive to my emails and flexible with a small, last-minute changes I needed to make in terms of date/timing and entry instructions. It was easy and clear what each of the cleaning options where, as well as the additions you could choose. We added on cleaning inside the fridge and cabinets, which was totally worth it. The cleaners arrived on time and let themselves in via the lock box we left for them. When we returned to see how the cleaning went, we were very pleased! First time using a cleaning service. Pros: Timely - the first cleaner was there exactly when she said she would be (it may have been a minute earlier). Efficient - the duo didn't take more than two hours. Good communication - I received emails and phone calls before and after service. I ultimately picked this company due to the customer service, despite them being unable to clean everything I wanted (dusting of fixtures, the large glass door, etc.) Cons - their price was a bit higher than other quotes, but not terrible. While some things were cleaned very well (oven and kitchen sink), others appeared not to be cleaned at all. On my walk through I had to ask for several areas to be recleaned (they quickly obliged), including sink fixtures, a bathroom floor, and the corner of a mantle that admittedly wasn't touched at all. Shoes were kept on, despite the carpet in my home, and at one point someone cleaned my sink while stepping on the bathroom rugs (meaning I had to wash them once they left). I know the bathroom tub was cleaned, but I had to clean it again myself. For a deep clean, there was not much attention to detail. Even when some items were "recleaned" I still had to go over them once more. Overall, if you are looking for an efficient, basic cleaning, this company is ok. Quick, quiet, and they have good customer service. I likely wouldnt use them for a deep cleaning again, as the attention to detail was not as precise as I would have liked. But perhaps for a basic cleaning. read more

We got a deep cleaning from these guys in our new home office, and we couldn't be happier. They showed up on time, listened and executed everything we asked for! All the tiny things were attended to, and all our furniture is clean from the big move. We've signed up for twice monthly cleanings to keep it (and us) neat! The last few months have been the cleanest we've ever been! Our dogs apparently had pooped on the new carpet when we came in, and they picked it up! They couldn't vacuum it, they could only pick it up - apparently it's company policy, and I appreciated that commitment to keeping their equipment clean for all their clients. I like those things! We have a house in Vegas, where we originally found Sparkly, so when we got our house in Milwaukee, we knew who to call. They're the same owners, who'd a thunk! They are a well managed, local company that I trust in my home. I've recommended them to other friends and business owners, and everyone is pleased. Sparkly Cleaning answered my online request within an hour or so, sent me a quote (which I accepted), and my initial cleaning was set up for two business days later. I had them come for an overall initial cleaning to prepare my house for a gathering and they did a great job. 2 efficient and friendly worker scrubbed and vacuumed away for a couple hours. I sent a Yelp message to book a cleaning. They got back to me straight away and the process to book was a breeze. Unfortunately they didn't have any openings the day I wanted, so I had to book close to the time our guests where leaving, which meant I couldn't get enough laundry done in time. I did call around and look around for another service as well, but other services had no openings and got back to me way later, so I booked promptly with Sparkly Cleaning Service to get myself locked in. The service cost about $90, and I think it would have been very much worth it if the timing was better, but since Christmas was coming up I had no choice but to book within a few hours of our guests departure time. The cleaning lasted about an hour, everything was cleaned very well, and I am giving them 5 stars for being very fast, and a pretty good service over all. I did write to request a discount for next time since the window was short and not all services were rendered, and I'll update if there are any changes to my experience! read more

My wife and I recently bought a house in the MKE area and wanted a 'move in/move out' cleaning before moving our stuff in, so we hired Sparkly Cleaning to do this. Unfortunately, their 'move in/move out' service was not very thorough. They had 3 team members come, each did a different floor of the house. The basement and upstairs were done appropriately, however, the main floor - which needed the cleaning the most - was at best dusted, not cleaned. We still had dirt stains on handles/doors, the stove and stove fan above still had splotches on there; the lights (reachable by hand) weren't even dusted, the sliding door tracks out to our patio still had dirt and dust in them; and the outside of the microwave and oven still had grease smears and fingerprints on them; and the inside of the kitchen cabinets weren't even touched/dusted. When I spoke to the owner/manager, her response was a combination 'apologetic and defensive', saying that many of the things I called out were 'add ons' and not part of the move in/move out package. For $375, I would expect many, if not all, of the above things should be covered in a move in/move out package. On the positive side, they did refund me $75. And they were very responsive and communicative leading up to and during the process. Other than the main floor and kitchen not being cleaned, I enjoyed the experience with them. I contacted Sparkly after reading the positive reviews on Yelp. I wanted to purchase a cleaning as a birthday gift to myself. I asked for a cleaning with only a few days notice and was thrilled when they were able to fit me in. It had been a LONG time since there had been any deep cleaning and I was a bit embarrassed but they were entirely judgement-free. When I came home everything was literally sparkling. It was wonderful to look at the spots that had previously frustrated me - my porcelain white sink that always had a yellow tone, my bathroom baseboards that I would notice when using the restroom and then forget as soon as I was doing a quick cleaning, etc. Although I anticipated this would be a one-time or very infrequent service, I've already booked and am looking forward to my second visit from Sparkly Cleaning Service! read more

I want them to be delighted by my service and pay a fair price. I want to them to know that I am reliable and good for my word. Guess what---Sparkly is the real deal! In this age of Groupon deals and prices that are too good to be true, it can seem a little surprising that a company charges the highest amount at the first cleaning. I read Sparkly's philosophy and it is honest and understandable. The first cleaning should cost the most---that's when the company is getting in there and getting it done right. Then, the follow up cleanings are less expensive. If you have ever had a company give you a low ball amount for the first cleaning, only to price you out of keeping them in subsequent visits, you will love Sparkly. Next, they do amazing work. It has been my dream to have this service for so long. But we feared allowing anyone to see how out of control our home had become. When I spoke to Crystal on the phone she told me that they are judgement free, and she wasn't kidding. To come home from work and see that promises have been kept was astounding. To not be overwhelmed by what I "should" be doing housework-wise is freeing. I can finally work on the large projects that have been needing my attention, but I couldn't focus on them. And it is a joy to walk through the house now! Lastly, I just want to say that Matt and Crystal are people who deliver on promises. They take what they're doing seriously, along with a dose of good humor. They are smart business partners and kind human beings. The multiple services I received were very bad, they did a very poor job for such an expensive bill. I had to go back a reclean all the areas that were missed. The cleaners sprayed and wiped, which left a lot of areas in my house unclean. They never used a wet rag or brush to scrub difficult areas. This is the most fraudulent activity I have ever seen. The customer service sucks! I explained my dissatisfaction and all I got was an email pretty much reprimanding me for not alerting the company of my concerns. read more

The one before it broke things, and glued them back together without telling us! But, crazy work schedules finally pushed me into looking for another cleaning service.
