I bought a 7 and a 5 quart Dutch oven. They were very expensive even at 50% off. I get that this is an outlet center, but was completely unaware they sold chipped and broken inventory'. I thought it was simply a holiday sale and that they were selling overstock or discontinued models or it was holiday marketing. Never once did they say they weee selling defective or damaged inventory. I bought the pieces and discovered the little chip a month after (I didn't need to use the 7 qt until later). I could have bought the same Dutch oven had I been told about the chip, or that the inventory could have e these defects. paying over $250 for a single pot, is steep for someone like me, That is used to paying for a whole set for that price. I just wish I was given The option of making that choice by myself rather than discovering the chip and now feeling like i was taken advantage of. So be warned, many things they sell there may not be for sale because it is memorial day or Labor Day, as I thought the discount came from that type of marketing, no I was buying a defective piece and not being told that was the case. I'm sending a copy of this complaint to the parent company. And just it call it my fault for not checking , and their fault for not disclosing .

And the one time I was able to reach someone they gave me incorrect information. I've emailed them twice and received no response. I then started to look around at different reviews and there are a few where people are happy but there's a lot where people have had it melt or spark or do some other dangerous thing. I would go with a company that has a better reputation for customer service if I were you. And I'm returning this one to Fred Meyer.

So I made my first batch everything was simple easy however when I tried to remove the rice from the cooker I could see where it looked like it burned down into the cooker. And now all of a sudden I'm realizing why Walmart probably did put it on sale. Anyway I went to the website looked in the directions to find out why will I send this back to them cuz I literally just bought it. And so they directed me to submit a claim on the website of which I did and it gives you know the disclaimer that is going to be in a few weeks before they respond and if it's acceptable then they'll send the return information. Afternoon near month I realized these people aren't responding so I emailed them asking them what is the problem I have the receipt you can see I literally just purchased it and after automated responses from that email telling me oh don't email us again once you email us we're going to get back to you whatever whatever but the bottom line is they did not and now I'm sitting here with this broken rice cooker in a box in my living room awaiting return information so I can either get a new unit or else just give me my money back these people are piss poor when it comes to service and the product isn't that good either
