I always find that buffets can be hit or miss, but this one was above average. We came on a Sunday evening and our bill for two with drinks was $39 and some change. It was well worth the money, I probably would have paid more! All of the trays were full of food and the servers were refilling constantly. I looked at the Hibachi side where they cook food for you, but with so many options, I stayed with the cooked foods. The desserts were also plentiful with lots of fruits. This is definitely a buffet to try again.

Called before we went to make sure they had crabs, the woman said yes they had fried crabs. So the wife and I drove over to Hagerstown to the buffet. Well the woman lied there was no crabs. But the wife wanted to eat there anyway I guess because she already started getting food. So I got so shrimp and crawdads and chicken wing. Well the shrimp tasted like the DC wharf smells (nasty) the crawdads was ok the chicken tasted strange. The sushi wasn't that good either and the dishes that shrimp in it tasted the same as the first shrimp I ate. Was really wasn't very pleased with this place. The service was good and they was polite and gave us 10 percent off for them telling me they had crabs when they didn't.

One of favorite buffet when you're in the area, they offer hot and warm meal from different cuisine, Western, Chinese and Japanese. This buffet also has Hibachi style to prepare the meal as we're requested. During dinner time, they offer more seafood and crabs on the hot meal section. The restaurant itself is very spacious especially the main entrance area with a pond and water fountain. The seating area are in cubes, it's not very spacious but it's ok, but if you come in groups, you'll be seated in the mid section of the dining area between cubes, and that's when you feel a lil cramped. They have a special area if you're having a small gathering in groups though, but you might need reservations for that. The restroom is clean and spacious, with all the potty cubes working, and maybe need more often to be clean during busy hours. *Don't forget to get their ice creams for desserts, they have good selections of Hershey's ice creams!

Large buffet lets no one go hungry. Table after table has nice Chinese and American foods. Sushi and hibachi are at the back. Salads and desserts are up front. The hostess seats you, takes your drink order, and keeps your table clear of soiled plates. This restaurant is handicapped accessible, and has nice bathrooms. I was passing through and had eaten here twelve years ago. The place hasn't changed!

Was it great? No. Was it good? Yes. A lot of steam tables and many options for people who don't eat "Chinese food" including pizza and meatloaf and ribs. And the usual classic Chinese-American things like beef & broccoli, black pepper chicken and noodles and dumplings. There's also a sushi bar and while I pretty much stuck to the sushi, it was only A-OK. Nothing particularly creative and the rice wasn't quite right. But it was okay. There's also a hibachi where you assemble your own stir fry and they cook it for you.

The worst buffet food I've ever had. It's Friday and there hardly are any people here so that was the first red flag. Food was cold/old and bland. The only thing hot are the dipping sauces and soups that I didn't bother to try. Salad bar didn't have hardly any toppings. Never again. I should've taken more pics but I provided the ones I had.

Food was very cold, half of the food doesn't look very appetizing or appealing. There was even hair in the fried chicken.

Great buffet with a large selection of quality dishes. Youngsters enjoy the lobby displays. Worth the return trip.

The quality of the food has gone down since our last visit. The food was cold or luke warm at best. It will be the last time we eat here.

Hong Kong Express - You HAVE to get this broccoli lunch special with shrimp and Lo mein. It was DELICIOUS! Just look at it!

I looked up a few spots on Yelp and decided upon Hong Kong Express. The lunch special prices is honestly what sealed the deal for me! I saw a broccoli special with your choice of meat (I chose shrimp, more on this later!). It comes with white rice or plain fried rice. The have other options such as beef or shrimp fried rice or Lo Mein noodles for about a dollar or two more. For something a bit different, I chose the noodles. The meal comes with your choice of soup or egg roll (I chose the egg roll for my meals). I also bought the egg foo young lunch special with pork fried rice. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't expecting to be as delighted as I was with my food! The egg foo young was very tasty & well seasoned. The gravy was verrry delicious and bought the whole meal together! The egg patty was flavorful and the pork fried rice was very good. The egg rolls were lightly fried with a delicate, crispy, crunch. Nothing extraordinary about them, but they still were pretty good! Now the super star of it ALL...the broccoli Lo Mein and shrimp! Now, notice I didn't say shrimp Lo Mein. I believe this is mainly a broccoli dish with your choice of meat and whatever kind of rice or noodles you prefer. The broccoli was perfectly chopped in bite sized pieces, which is an underrated pro. Some places put big stalks of broccoli in the dish, making it hard to enjoy, especially if the broccoli isn't cooked long enough. Hong Kong does it right! I chose plain noodles to not take away from the shrimp and broccoli. It was a great pairing. The SHRIMP!!! Omg. The shrimp were BIG, plump and delicious!!! They were fresh and had no fishy flavor. I enjoyed this dish soooo much, I'm willing to go back for it alone! It was that good. I didn't include a picture of the egg foo young, but if you've had it before, it looks like that, lol! But I had to include to broccoli dish with the shrimp because the presentation was pretty by itself. The restaurant is honestly unassuming and I would've passed it by if the visit wasn't intentional. It's not fancy looking from the outside, but the inside is nice and clean. The owners/workers are very polite. Prices weren't bad AT ALL! For two lunch specials and a can of soda, the price came up to $17 and change. As I waited for my food I saw patrons come in and out of the restaurant, which lead me to believe that I made the right decision. I'll be back, for sure! 5 stars.

I have eaten at high end places with many cusines and I have eaten cold MRE's in the shadow of a tank outside of a bombed out village. I actually enjoy basic, strip mall (the seedier the better) Chinese [Americanized] food. I want that paper box with the wire, or styrofoam, or modern fancy vented plastic containers is fine too. I like the cheap chopsticks, or the tiny flimsy white fork - the round spoon is a bonus trophy. In every town in the world a main road hits a T-intersection. If you go one way it's commercialized/nicer/safer/gentrified/rural if you go the other way there are liquor stores/pawn shops/car garages (with junk cars piled out back) and a down on its luck strip mall. Turn in that direction from time to time. You will learn more about the world around you, you will have some adventure to knock the sameness out of your life, and you might even be a little frightened. That is good for you, seek it out, embrace it. That turn towards the adventure side is exactly the kind of strip mall [Old Orchard Shopping Center] Chop Sticks sits in. It is non-descript, nestled in with a couple of ethnic grocery stores, a liquor store, and several other hanging in there one-off "businesses". I knew before I parked that this was going to hit the spot. The service was fast, effecient, friendly. I got Hunan Beef, fried rice, egg rolls, and a bag of those donuts unique to these places for my wife. For $25 the best of these meals I have had in a while. Good portions, beef was spicy enough for forehead sweat, rice was simple but that seperate grain texture that you can only get from these places. The egg rolls were just the right greasy, excellent with the little package of duck sauce. I would definetly eat here often if I lived in the area. We were only in town to ride bicycles on the C&O canal path.
