The fried rice was absolutely tasteless. The cubed pieces of onion were barely cooked. Neither were the bean sprouts. I ate 2 spoons of it and tossed it. The chicken wings were overly cooked to the point they were hard. Even the meat of the wing was cooked hard. No review of the shrimp toast. It was for my mother and she didn't comment. However, she only ate 1 piece. This was a total waste of 50$ yes, 50$ for 2 SMALL fried rice, 4 fried wings, an order of shrimp toast and sweet and sour chicken, most of which went in the garbage.

Served with plenty of rice - for some reason a rare thing these days. The ambiance is pleasant, if not warm. Outdoor seating was available, but we chose indoors. We marked down service for this reason: We came in about 7:45 in the evening. The restaurant closes at 8:30. One one think they'd be interested in serving us and getting us out by closing time. Not the Case. There were only three two tables inside occupied and 3 outside. for some reason, our waitress first directed us to a table right by the door to outside. I requested a booth. We were installed in one across the room. From that point, we had long waits for menus and water checks. I had to signal a waitress across the room to get our check. Disappointing, given that I had been really anticipating dining here.

My daughter especially loves the dim sum and dumplings, and my husband is a big fan of the sweet and sour chicken and the spring rolls. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how many wonderful options they have. The Buddha's Delight is one of my favorites, along with the tofu with black mushrooms. I also love that they are so accommodating--I prefer my tofu steamed instead of fried, and they are always happy to prepare it that way for me. Today I tried the Wonton Noodle Soup and it was good. There is truly something for everyone in our family, and we always leave happy and satisfied. Delicious food, great variety, and wonderful service. We highly recommend Peking Gourmet! This restaurant is very clean and beautiful.

My partner and I stopped here on a whim when looking for somewhere nice for dinner. We were a…read morelittle hesitant at first since the place was completely dead, but we were proven very wrong when we got our food. For appetizers, we ordered the dried dumplings ($7.50 for 6 pieces) and the sweet pork buns ($5 for 2). They were both delightful. The dumplings were pleasantly chewy, with the best crunch on the bottom. They were huge and seasoned very well. The buns were soft and pillowy, with a nice amount of meat in them. They could have been seasoned a little more, but some hot mustard really made them amazing. For our meals, we decided to order the dinner combo ($12.50). It comes with an egg roll, plain fried rice, and your entree of choice. I got orange chicken and they got Hunan chicken. Both meals were absolutely amazing, with fantastic portions. It was seasoned perfectly, and the orange chicken was crispy to the point of having an audible crunch. There were even real orange peels in the sauce! We both had leftovers to bring home and were completely full. The meal ended with fortune cookies, and a complimentary strawberry mousse. It was light, and perfectly sweet to end the meal. The service at the restaurant itself was lovely. No one was constantly over our shoulder, but our drinks stayed full and the food came out hot and quickly. The restaurant was quiet, and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend anyone in Frederick to try this place! (As you can see from some of the photos, I got a little too excited and dug in before taking photos!)

Also, the place itself is nice and clean, unlike many other Chinese takeouts that I've seen in past. This is the only Chinese takeout option in this area. We asked for our entree to be at the most spicy level and it seemed to be at the lowest. The vegetables were very fresh and the portion sizes were fine.
