I don't remember his name but he was really helpful. I showed him the parts I needed and he came through. He walked me to the areas I needed and pulled the items off the shelf for me. Everything fit perfectly. I bought the parts I needed online. Everything was wrong. This is why we need a physical store with actual employees that know what they're doing. Not only were the parts wrong they were double the cost. I spent $12 for my parts at mission. Versus $25 online. At the end at check our guess what??? They had WORLDS FINEST CHOCOLATE. If you purchase materials like wood or pipe, they can cut it for you for transport! The selection of paint, hardware, garden supplies, light bulbs, power tools, adhesives, and most other typical household hardware needs are excellent. Based on size, they don't stock as much lumber or appliances as big box stores. Very helpful -- they do cartridge exchange for Soda Stream!! And have many options of Soda Stream flavorings. I went to Harbor Freight to buy a new pressure washer, but the checkout experience was frustrating…read more The woman helping us (Sales Manager) was very pushy about entering our information into their system, telling us that if we lost our receipt we wouldn't be able to return or exchange the item. We were fine with that, but then she told us that any return would incur a 20% restocking fee. I asked her about the fee if the item was dead on arrival -- meaning if it didn't work right out of the box -- and she said we would still have to pay the restocking fee. That really confused me. She kept using the words exchange and restocking fee in the same sentence, so I asked, "If Harbor Freight sells us a broken item, we have to pay Harbor Freight a restocking fee?" Instead of clarifying, she got defensive, saying "If Harbor Freight sold broken items, we wouldn't be in business," and told me to "read the words coming out of her mouth." Well, lady, your words weren't making sense. Finally my dad tried to clarify and asked if exchanges are free and if only refunds have a restocking fee, and she said yes. But up until that point, she had never used the word refund, which is why I was so confused and frustrated. All this while she kept trying to collect our phone numbers and continuing to warn us about losing our receipt. I didn't catch her name, but as a Sales Manager I'd expect her to explain policies more clearly and professionally. Harbor Freight should really improve training so situations like this don't happen.
