I called Summit Restoration immediately about water leaking ( literally pouring) out of our basement ceiling and down the wall. They verified with me how to shut off the water to stop the damage etc. and said they'd come out withing a few hours.Babu and Ronald came to my home about 2 hours later ( 6;45 PM ) They cut out some dry wall afer verifying the really wet areas and found a cracked hose bib. They were able to turn the house water back on and prevent the hose bib from further leaking, while still getting our water back on that night. The next morning they were back and replaced the broken hose bib, took out the wet damaged dry wall and carpet pad, etc damaged floor boards. They then placed water extraction machines and fans to dry out the basement. It took about 4-5 days to complete the dry out process. The reconstruction process to replace the dry wall, carpet pad , floor boards etc and repainting,etc. took about 4 days. I was actually surprised it could be reconstructed so professionally so quickly knowing how long dry wall mud, taping, and texturing and then repainting with two coats of paint. Every one was nice who worked in our home and adapted to a couple of times we needed to be away or start later. We had family comimg to sty for Thanksgiving: everything was finished like new and cleaned up with some time to spare.

I was told that they would be able to do the restoration part of the work as well so I went with them. Unfortunately, here we are more than 2 months later and the work is still not done. The tile guy they had come was apparently a newbie and didn't know what he was doing. He ruined two boxes of tiles then told Babu that he was stressed out and so Babu sent a different tile guy. He also left a mess the couple of times he was here and because he didn't bother to clean up his feet, he got crap all over my floors. Furthermore, Babu chastised me for 'not making a decision about the paint color and carpet' when I didn't know I needed to and he had never brought me any carpet samples to choose from. He said my job was taking too long because of my indecision. I had accommodated his 'busy schedule' because of other work he was doing since I wasn't in a real hurry in the beginning. Then when I had to go for a week-long summit for my job, he was upset. Unfortunately, as soon as they got the $1000.00 deposit they ghosted me. I can't get anyone to answer the phone, I can't get anyone to return my calls and I'm not at all happy. I've had to dispute the charge for the deposit because of this. I contacted the insurance company, and I was expecting to have to replace walls and carpet. They put me in touch with Utah Flood Guys, and told me that they would be able to handle the water, and just to let UFG do their thing. They knocked it out of the park!!! They arrived right on time, and were super calm and collected while I was peppering them with a whole bunch of questions and opinions. I was concerned that just a few fans would not do the job, and id be worrying about a musty smell and possibly left over water. They understood my concerns and took the time to explain the process, to put me at ease. Their equipment was quite impressive, and it was very clear early on that these guys weren't just placing fans. They knew exactly what they were doing, and they were coordinated, clean, and quiet. I can't stress enough, the piece of mind I felt while watching them work. It was super reassuring. They saved me thousands of dollars of repairs, and increased insurance claims. It has been a few months, and I can tell you that there has never even been a whiff of a moldy and musty smell. They left me with a bone-dry basement, and that is all I could to for. My floor is constantly dusty, the box elder bugs manage to come in too. It gets so dusty at the entrance that dirt settles onto the stairs and of course gets tracked along the hallway. That was the pesky area I wanted clean. The tech came in and licketty split got the stains out of my carpet, and cleaned the area I wanted and did an excellent job. My carpet is OLD, HOW OLD IS IT??? Only the true owner knows. I didn't expect super-duper clean because of the age. BUT the tech came in cleaned the carpet so well that I had to look closer to see if the stains were really gone and they are! When I move out of this place I will call them again. In fact, I know my stairs will get dirty this winter so I will be calling them again in a few months or so.

He talked us through the whole process as we'd never had to have insurance cover anything before and we were pretty lost. Even in the fallout after the Restoration and repairs, he's been communicating with us and has been very understanding with us in regard to our deductible. Even though I know Complete Restoration is a big company, Ricardo really made our experience personalized and I felt like we got the service of a little mom and pop shop.
