Do yourself a favor and walk away from any deals made with them. They dont help disasters they are the disaster. Working with their project manager was like pulling teeth. They removed the siding from my home before they had even ordered the replacement siding. I went 50 days with my siding removed and just the tyvek wrap. Not to mention they left all their garbage in my back yard for months and never cleaned up a single nail or razor blade where my family hangs outside. They are pushy when it comes to getting paid and they are carless when it comes to work being done. Forget them. read more

They dragged their heals on their promise to work with State Farm and after 60 days, they produced a document with five lines of estimates. This was a $60,000 project. Five lines of work description does not cut it. The final estimate was almost double the original estimate. I feel they wanted out of the project and this was their way of doing it. read more

Just read the other reviews. It took 2-3 times longer than they said. Worst of all it would be insurance fraud if I could prove it. I was stuck in WA on a mission when the water damage happened. There were 2 pages or more of itemized things they did that my tenant said they did not do. Three months later they billed me above the maximum allowed by my insurance company which is a lot!! They charged me for a $2300 custom vanity so they said that I actually bought it at Home Depot for $300. When I confronted them they put on the final bill that it was rebuilt. Rebuilt a $300 vanity for $2300? The funny thing is I have the emails showing they were waiting on a custom vanity and that was also why the additional charge. They are a very dishonest company. If you deal with them take great pictures and notes in writing. Even with proof, they will lie to the BBB and insurance company. read more

BMR has helped me a couple times, once with mold under my stairs and once with a flooded basement. They came over in a moments notice to get me all taken care of and start mitigation. So here's the update. BMR sued me for almost $500k, essentially based upon the premise that my reviews were libel (defamation). Their complaints were distilled down to 6 or 7 points of contention, of which all except 1 was tossed by the judge upon summery judgement. The last point came down to a photo and reported time stamp that was curiously inconsistent between my iMessage and their documentation. They then walked on the lawsuit. Read into it what you will, but take notice that this is a company to approach with extreme caution. The legal defense cost me over $50k, of which Liberty Mutual has only agreed to pay about half of. This is despite their adjuster (as I've outlined previously) pushing me to use BMR. Honestly, it sucks and I don't know if that financial hit was always the intent of the lawsuit as I was never asked to take down my prior review as means of making things "go away." But since I'm now in the other side and costs are sunk, it seems reasonable to let people know what they're dealing with if they choose to do so. Also, as much as I value a forum in which honest experience can be shared, it is also clear that Yelp benefits at every one else's expense. They absolve themselves from liability and leave reviewers vulnerable to retribution in whatever form it may come. So as a third caution, and sadly again as a matter of experience, know that you (ie. most of us) are inconsequential to the larger entities out there and will be taken advantage of when the opportunity presents itself. There are not enough words to describe how happy I am with Bull Matrix! I had a fairly significant flood and after months of very stressful negotiations with my insurance and 5 different contractors (all of whom walked away), I stumbled upon BMR. From the time I first started working with them until the job was completed was less than 2 months. They are experts in dealing with insurance claims, making this process very easy. The finished rebuild was flawless (hard flooring, carpet, sheetrock, paint, and other finish work). Chad as the PM in the field and Jill as my office manager are stars - I wish I had people of their caliber working for me. Read the latest reviews and trust them. These guys called after I got a roof replacement estimate. I had leaks and interior ceiling damage. I don't know how they got my info, I assume it's from the roofer. A guy named Garrett came out, nice guy, did a quick review and said they'd be in touch. A week later, Vincent called and wanted to set up a time to do an estimate of the interior damage. We did. A day later, their office girl called to tell me that she wanted to set up a time for an estimate. I asked if anyone talked to each other there, because Vincent was coming out. Then, got a follow up voice mail from Garrett asking if they could sked an estimate. Vincent did come out, nice guy, and spent an hour taking measurements using a camera on a tripod that he moved every 4 feet. My insurance adjuster did it in 10 minutes. Vincent promised he'd send me an estimate in 24 hours. That was 11 days ago. No estimate. Yesterday, Garret leaves a message to see "Where we where at?". I called him back and it was obvious that he confused me with another potential client. This is all before they had my business. I went online to read reviews, and I see where there "Business Manager" (didn't know they had one since their internal communication is so poor) Kevin P. is online making excuses and threatening legal action against their customers that post truthful reviews. That's a HUGE red flag. Can't wait for his response for this one. Trust those reviews. read more

To bad their isn't negative stars to give. Please do yourself a favor, stay as far away from this company as you can. I mean like RUN AWAY! I have never, in my life, seen such unprofessionalism from an entire group. BMR, which really stands for "Bull Crap Matrix", because that is what they will feed you from the beginning, has a great mixture of carelessness, tone-deafness, incompetence, dishonesty all wrapped snuggly together with a bow of greed. There was literally 20 different problems that arose on our small job. Initially told to us would take 4-6 weeks, just finished up a few days ago. 6 months later. We are talking about 1 bathroom and two bedrooms. It was a small job. Too small for anyone at BMR to care about apparently. BMR will no doubt try and deflect and point the finger at either you the homeowner or some random sub, which I'm sure they will do with this project, but the bottom line is that I was prepared to spend $20k in legal fees to fight this group just out of pure principle due to the dumpster-fire work and unprofessionalism they showed. It would take far too long explaining each issue, but I'm happy to share just a few. 1- We kept getting different prices from our rep for a specific item to purchase. (He wanted us to get a vanity at a specific place, my guess is because he gets some kick back or it's so cheap they get to pocket the difference from what insurance pays)..So my wife called him out on his BS. This rep decided to drive to my home and get in a argument with my wife in our living room while she was holding our baby. 2- BMR put a financial hold for a few weeks on my home, which I was not communicated with, because they forgot to send in the mitigation invoice to my insurance company. I had asked BMR's office manager if this was my job and she said "no, we do that." So I sent the invoice to my insurance company and received payment quickly which got them "going" again. And when I say going, I mean not really doing anything to finish the job. 3- Initial rep mislead and made certain untruthful statements to get us to sign the dotted line. Again, happy to give more specifics if anyone wants to hear them. Would be a novel. Bottom line, I paid exactly when I was suppose to and their 4-6 week projection turned into 6 months.They kept trying to get me to pay the final balance before the job was done. No Way! They would no doubt have ever come back. No one listened to us until the very end with a new rep, who luckily finished our little job. I just heard he left. He was good. Their only knowledgable and honest rep who actually communicates with the customer. I've also heard that many of the guys that we had the unfortunate experience of working with have since been fired. The unprofessionalism from this group seemed to be company wide, at least in terms of the reps in charge of getting the job done. That starts at the very top. I'm very disappointed that my insurance company, state farm, gave me BMR info as one to call. They were a nightmare. I'm sure BMR will deflect and point the finger back at me for this post as they have done from the first issue that arose. I know the truth of the dysfunction with this group. If you like playing roulette or gambling, then go ahead and give them a try. If not, I would suggest a more stable and professional group. Basically anyone else. read more

Avoid this company at all costs! They will overpromise and under deliver. Thankfully I only gave them $1000 to get my project started. For weeks they refused to do any actual work unless I would give them thousands more. After months of this, I requested they complete one task before giving them any additional payments. They sent someone to my house unannounced to replace the 700 square feet of insulation they promised to replace due to a flood. The worker was here for 20 minutes and said he was going to grab "lunch." He never returned after hanging 3 small strips of insulation. I called the company to complain and they refused to send anyone out to complete the work. They said he was fired for doing this at other jobs too. At that point I asked for my money back and was promised they would return the unused portion of my money. I never received anything back and they told me that I was being charged for "estimates." Additionally, they refused to provide the receipts that I requested. I checked with their subcontractor and they provide free estimates. I am so glad that I never gave them any additional money. If I could give 0 stars I would. BMR was referred to me by my insurance agent at American Family. First time working with them and in the beginning Jake from BMR who did the demolition was awesome! He did great at communicating what time he would be arriving and secured the area for demolition and cleanup. He is the only person I feel did his job. As a first time Homeowner and first time working with insurance and BMR, I did not understand how things work. I would talk and get phone calls from several people about mitigation Scott, Matt, Sterling, Garrett, and now a Janice. As a customer who paid their deductible directly to BMR of $1k and home insurance payment in full, my understanding is the AF and BMR would talk about payment. AF paid them several times through their Electronic system. BMR stopped working on my bathroom, left me hanging as a customer, and would call me to call the insurance to get paid. My bathroom is still not done since March, and I have given them all the information they need to call the insurance, the agent, and have been going back and forth about a $2k mitigation payment they claim was never paid. Today a Janice called 4x and I told her I am no longer working with them, if they want payment contact the insurance. I 3-wayed with insurance and her, it is the same information that has been repeated over and over that they have been sent funds (3x electronically). She told AF that it is the homeowners responsibility to pay them directly. They are unprofessional, and have a problem with communication. There was not one person to deal with but several people, it was frustrating because they did not keep track of notes or conversations, and then would ask me to call so and so. They have also no-showed at my house several times, and would send outside contractors over without coordinating with me. As a customer I feel that I have been let down. I have done my part to pay my deductible directly to BMR ,I have paid my insurance, AF has paid the mitigation payment of $2k, and they left my bathroom a mess and stopped working on it and started to harass me with phone calls. Do not work with them! They are unprofessional! They have terrible communication! You will deal with several people who are also unprofessional and rude. AF has an Electronic system that insurance pays them directly to and they harass their customers for payment when there is a system in place. Stay away!!! read more

We had flooding in our office due to some faulty equipment. BMR was quick to respond. The water extraction and drying out process was done quickly and thoroughly. They had to open up a section of wall to dry out building materials. The replacement of the tile was exceptional. Looks like it did prior to the flood. read more

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY NEGATIVE STARS, THAT WOULDN'T EVEN BEGIN TO EXPLAIN HOW EGREGIOUSLY TERRIBLE AND INCOMPETENT THIS BUSINESS IS! IN ALL MY YEARS OF LIVING I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED A WORSE INTERACTION THAN WITH "BMR". To make a terrible story short, I have someone come out to take a look at some water damage in my basement bathroom. When I inform the person that I don't believe I have homeowner's insurance he first says it will cost maybe somewhere between $500-$750 to remove the affected ceiling/walls/flooring, possibly more depending if there is a leak with the pipes. I thought that was reasonable. I wasn't sure if I still had homeowner's insurance, I later checked and it turns out I still had active coverage, as soon as I inform the person who came out over the phone he balloons the costs to being somewhere between $2,000-$2,500. Big surprise there, I'm being sarcastic. Fast forward, people come out, do demo and remove the affected area. Then the horror show that is dealing with the claim between them and my insurance, turns out THEY FAILED to take any photos of the upstairs bathroom before doing demo and literally only took one photo I believe of the water damage downstairs which led to a long drawn out ordeal with my insurance and ultimately them paying me out over 1k less than what was needed to cover the cost that BMR was charging me to finish the work. Now (07/05/22) they have informed me that since they could not reach a settlement with my insurance they are "going to cancel the reconstruction job order" essentially leaving me to pay "$3,156.54" for ripping up my floor and walls and leaving! I can't even begin to explain how LUDICROUS this is and how SCREWED I AM! Throughout all of this time, all they would do is give me excuses and say sorry, never respond to my difficult questions about why they failed to do their job correctly, obviously for legal reasons they wouldn't admit fault. I'm left with a destroyed bathroom, on top of that the amount of time and money I've lost since I was renting the rooms that used those bathrooms. PLEASE, IF THERE IS ANYTHING, ANYTHING AT ALL TO TAKE AWAY FROM MY LOSS. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT EVER USE THIS BUSINESS! If they lose just one customer from my bad review I feel like my nightmare with them is worth it. read more
