When Bumka first came out to look at the house. Everything went great, scheduling seemed good - so we got started. Not long after we started, I KNEW we had messed up. We started experiencing things like them staying well past 5, we had to ask them to leave multiple times so we could put our kids down for bed. Our cabinets were delayed another month due to Bumka "forgetting" to order. I noticed TONS of things wrong. From uneven cabinets and things just being horribly off level, to them reusing baseboards that were flood damaged! They used our garage one night without asking us and left our entire gym and garage stuff covered in sawdust. When I asked Bumka the project manager about this, he tried to say it blew in from the driveway... my cameras showed a different story. We also had issues where they installed a bullnose at the top of our stairs and used silicon to secure, but got the silicon all over the place making it extremely slippery causing my wife to actually fall down a few stairs. Initially I brought this up to Bumka who was very critical of me and told me he had never heard of those issue. Main jist of this is a few things. 1. Is that there is a massive language barrier between you and the 1 or 2 workers that show up to your house - and their work is less than mediocre (and that's being kind). 2. You are likely not their biggest project where they send their "best" resources (at least that's what we were told). 3. They try to cut corners and do the job as cheap as possible, look at the pictures of the trim, and the microwave vent not even taped to the exhaust in the ceiling. 4. They are dishonest. I went through their stupid ass hospital bill of a quote and pulled 5k-8k of things they said they had done but THEY DID NOT DO. Things like removing and resetting toilets for paint (found paint on the backs of the toilets). Removing and resetting doors. Just random stuff that was a straight up lie. When I went through this with Bumka, he said they have to make their money somewhere. I'll also post photos of some of the workmanship, a lot of this stuff is still here and not fixed.

We didn't get a call back to begin the restoration for a month, then they showed up and we were supposed to already have our paint color, our carpeting, etc. picked out. We were told there a certain place to get our carpeting, unfortunately, we had not been given that name. We could have been picking all those things out, during that months time. Unfortunately, the original paint was a blue-gray color and the new color was a total gray color. Every mistake they made they blamed on my husband's paint job (gray on the white ceiling, runs in the paint, gray handprints on the white ceiling, handprints on the new gray paint, gray paint on our crown molding-- that had been put in after the original paint job--gray on the white door frames and on and on. They relayed our carpeting to see if it could be cleaned before it was replaced, and it wasn't even stuck down in some places (which actually was a good thing, because we were able to see that they only replaced part of the padding and our original 1/2" 8# with 3/8" cheap stuff. They had to come back multiple times to paint places and things they missed like door frames and places on walls, and floorboards that hadn't had nails puttied and painted (3 walls in one room!) My husband had to go back over many places where the paint hadn't covered. Originally, we had wood baseboards, and we just realized, because there were large chips in a couple of places, that they had been replaced with pressboard! After 5 months we were finally able to get our carpeting in, but the painting is not yet done, but you can rest assured that Nuvo won't be doing any more work in our house!

All three different times I've called she has hung up on me and refuses to provide her name or allow me to speak with someone else. The 3rd call; she kept accusing me and arguing with me that I was calling from marketing or trying to sale something. Which I told her multiple times I was not. Complete madness... Poor service and poor reflection on this company. Then, I received a call back from the manager, AFTER I left a bad google review. That's what it takes to talk to someone else..... Manager was nice, but at this point damage is done, I'm not doing business with a company who has staff that communicates that way to someone who simply wants information. ‍
