The women who answers the phones is rude and unprofessional. I wasn't being difficult, just wanted to speak with the manager after being hung up on twice. All three different times I've called she has hung up on me and refuses to provide her name or allow me to speak with someone else. The 3rd call; she kept accusing me and arguing with me that I was calling from marketing or trying to sale something. Which I told her multiple times I was not. Complete madness... Poor service and poor reflection on this company. Then, I received a call back from the manager, AFTER I left a bad google review. That's what it takes to talk to someone else..... Manager was nice, but at this point damage is done, I'm not doing business with a company who has staff that communicates that way to someone who simply wants information. ‍ read more

Excellent service and craftmanship. I couldn't have asked for a better crew. They showed up when they said they would and were very respectful of my time and my house. Shout out to Brian, Andrew, Dee, Ethan, Julio, Kevin, and all of the flooring guys. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but thank you, thank you, thank you for doing such a great job. I am happy to be home! read more

I had an excellent experience with this company. From the one day turnaround for a quote to the very professional technicians (Des and Chad) it went very well. They were extremely clean and explained the entire procedure to me. Mold is gone, and I can highly recommend these guys. read more

People please be careful with this company. They came in like gang busters in the beginning of my hot water damage. They started out with 5 guys to begin with. Then it was down to just two on site. July 10 2023 the nightmare started. August 9th they told me I needed to vacate my house so they could take out my furnace and water heater. This was just another attempt to increase their billing. They said "don't worry your insurance will pay for a hotel or Air B&B". August 10th I kicked them out of my home. They drug their feet on everything they did. Racking up 1000's of hours using the Heppa and dehumidifiers , just to increase the bill to my insurance. My insurance adjuster said they billed my insurance over $ 20,000.00. The job they did took so long because they didn't bother to open the entire floor in the begging. They would do a small portions at a time. Their work was not well planned and shotty at best. Today, I received an invoice for $ 14,868.95. BEWARE of this company. Do not use them for anything! read more

I bought my first place on my own. A couple of days in I had a major plumbing problem Abd had to have my bathrooms and dining room torn out. The insurance set me up with Restore Masters. The contractor said a whole lot of great things and told me it would be perfect and done by Sep 12. The project was finally finished in March and the final product was less than acceptable. read more

I Bought a couch form RC Willey. Immediately it began falling apart. I called them 2x they refused to fix it because I didn't purchase a warranty. I began looking for a furniture repair person and accidentally called Jackie Johnson for restore masters. She couldn't help me but offered to call RC Willey for me. In less than 5 min RC Willey called me and were on their way to my house. Jackie went out of her way for me. I didn't need any of her services, but she helped my anyway. Jackie saved my from having to buy or pay to have a brand new couch fixed. I will definitely refer her and her business to my friends and family. Barbara read more

In Chicago you get a little filtering of sketchy construction guys because of the unions. In Utah any shmuck with a truck can sale you a crappy job. I had a problem with my shower a while back and got hooked up with a pretty quick service, mike Shurtliff is the owner and is the kind of guy you can trust on a handshake. Asking around I found out that they do a lot of work and are a pretty respectable company. If your not happy, call Mike. I now use them as a filter with a lot of other projects: changing lights, plumbing, some painting and they gave me a great deal when I didn't take a sprinkler pipe flood through insurance. Painting, drywall, carpet and cleaning was done in less than a week. Highly recommend!!! read more

Had a wonderful experience working with Restoremasters after a not so good experience with a water leak which caused major damage to one room in my basement. They responded the same day, determined the cause of the water damage and began the repairs the following day. Very pleased with all phases of the repairs. Thank you Brian, Tiffany, Kelby, Roger, Char and Saul. Great job. Happy to recommend this great company. read more

This company is a rip off. Was referred by my insurance company 2 years ago when I had a leak paid money up front. Had a disagreement of unfair service, business owner "sympathized" with me and said he would refund me $200-300 and it's now 2021. Landed on a Facebook memory about my complaint and decided time to put a review. Beware of people who sympathize just to get you off phone! Shame on you guys! read more

Dishonest. Terrible company. Charged 40k. And did 1/3 of the work agreed to and still tried to collect. They were supposed to demolish and repair 2 fireplaces which they themselves said needed to be repaired because of moisture behind them. They knocked a hole above them and said, nope, no moisture, patched up the wall then charged us for the full amount of complete demolishing, painting the entire wall plus the entire ceiling above, replacing and repairing all baseboards, rebuilding two gas fireplaces, etc. The only thing they dis was replace the stucco on the chimney side side of the house. We asked for pictures proving their work knowing they didn't do it, because it's kind of obvious when the fireplace is still.there and the paint is still old paint. They couldn't provide pictures and started saying they needed to send someone to check the work. It was a mess and too many details to go I to. Just do not impure them. I believe they saw a fat u surface check, racked it up on purpose then tried to commit insurance fraud. We of course have contacted our insurance who is working on the matter. read more

I would give this company a - or no star this company is a fraud and has the worst service I've ever gotten my house had a electrial fire in June of last yr and I had a hard ti with ars so o call they guy they was nice tell they got money out of my insurance company and I never could get any thing done that we wanted we gave tjis company for them to rip us off in ever way after we thought are night mare where gone well it got worse they got 99,000 out of my insurance company but did hardy nothing didn't even start for 2&1/2 month and I was patfor them to do nothing I didn't get super of wat the was going to do or wat was done he mess up are house worse then the fire and I'm mad all these company lying and ripping all of us for wat reason when we pay a lot of money this company a joke don't give them any money or hire them call they will over charge u for sure read more

There is only one word i can think of when asked about Mike Shurtliff of Restormasters is gluttonous. All I want to do is warn you about this man. And if you request a refund for work that hasn't been done he won't do it. He doesn't take responsibility for his company. He talks to you with absolute respect and seems confident but it is absolutely 100% a fake front. Do not fall for it. All he wants is money. I had a fire in my house shortly after losing my sister and all of her personal items were lost in this fire. Moving into the sixth month of cutting corners and not really moving forward i checked with my insurance company to go over the list of repairs and replacements and noticed he was being paid for items he refused to replace with equivalent or close to, or wasn't even in my home to begin with... I cried to this man to refund us the amount and no longer wanted to work with him so we could just move on and get our home fixed, he got more and more Condescending and Arrogant . After all that was said and done he is still refusing to refund us any of our money. And honestly it is my fault that we had paid him most of the money upfront but we honestly thought he was an upstanding honest man. Please don't be fooled. Do not hire this company. read more

I had a roofer come out and re roof my house in 2008. To keep it short, he did a terrible job which left me with lots of repairs. He had is no longer in business. Fast forward to 2015. I contacted Brian and he had the means to take charge and to dry out and contain the issues that had already occurred. He communicated with me and constantly kept me informed with a great round a bout number as far as damages incurred. He was was very professional and fair in all assessments. I was desperate with my position, but I always felt he was reliable and fair with all his assessments/charges.Ii never felt taken advantage of. I am the type of guy that believes "You get what you pay for." I never go for the most expensive, nor the least expensive, but something in between. He blew me away with their service, was very good with communicating with me about my questions about charges, and was available at all times. BEYOND fair. FYI.. I've had terrible experiences with contractors in the past. No business is perfect. I can tell you something. Brian cared, he kept me informed (who knows, I might be a little high maintenance when it comes to things like these). I feel like if an issue were to arise, he would maintain contact and give you options and tell you the details rather than put you in a bad position. Highly recommended. After the job was done, I asked him for job estimates on other things that need to be done on my house.. In other words, I would definitely use him again. read more

Very quick response. Otis and Chad were great. Hard workers. Very conscientious. Thanks!

Oh my... Where to begin. They were referred to us by our insurance company because we had a roof leak and it damaged our ceiling. The guys was friendly and told me it was not worth going through my insurance. He said he could help us and that we had to pay x-amount to start the demo work. To this point things were fine. Then he recommended a roofing company to do the roof repairs and after much asking they finally shared with me a bid for the roof repair. The bid was very generic with no specifics other than $1500 total amount.that to me seemed excessive so I called 3 other companies and their bids where anywhere in between $350 and $500... I went with the high bidder and still saved $1000!!! At this point they were not happy with me and told me that if I wanted them to do the work I had to pay them $1000 for the ceiling repairs in advance. I told them that I would pay them half and once the job was done I would pay them the other half. They simply rejected that and told me that unless paid in advance they would not do anything. Very unprofessional and let me just tell you that customer service was terrible! Other than the initial nice presentation they dropped the ball left and right. I called my insurance guy and complained he explained to me that since it's not going through insurance this company is not required to share anything with them so they don't know about this face of restore masters, but he took my complaint and let me know that this would be addressed and that he expected this guy's to call me to resolve the issue. A week later this guy's still have done nothing to help. If I could give them a zero believe me I would. They did not care about me only about the money... And charging a lb excess of $1000 to recommend a roofing company is definitely unethical. read more

Restoremasters was awesome!! I was really nervous about this whole process but these guys put my mind to rest. Jr., Landon and Kaden were awesome! We had a leak in our kitchen and needed our wooden floors fixed. We had Steven Kristine come in and help put temporary flooring in until we got our original floor put back in. He made sure we were very satisfied and comfortable to walk around in especially having a little toddler running around in. We've had a great experience with the company and would refer them to anyone in our area. read more

Run! Do not walk when it coming to possibly using this shady company! They lie, do substandard work, with people who have no idea of what to do or how to do it. They obviously write their own reviews here, because their work is done to such poor standards, our insurance company told us after we choose them to repair or kitchen flood damage, that they have the worst reputation in the Utah area, and they never recommend them. Restore masters took a 3 day job, and has managed to stretch it into 4 months, (and they aren't even close to done as we continue to live with our entire small kitchen ripped apart and un-usable !) They lie with promises of "oh we will be there in a couple days", then they never respond to our inquiry when they don't show up. The people who do come to do craftsmanship work, are so under qualified and have no idea of what or how to do things, my 3 year old could do a better job! I've never felt so ripped off and taken advantage of in my whole like! Mike, Justin, and the entire group of people who own and work for this company have one goal in mind. Steal your money, and string you along with promises, while they do such sub standard work, that in their ineptitude, they ruin not only what they were to repair, they also ruin your existing good walls and cabinets, and your being able to live in your home! read more
