We have been doing business with Valcourt Heating for over 20 years. We were one of their first…read morecustomers when Chad Valcourt started his business over 20 years ago. They installed a split system air-conditioning system and gas furnace in our 1938 Cape in Newport, RI in 2016. Over the 20 years they have returned to do extensive renovations to the Air conditioning system they installed that required all the copper lines to be replaced due to defective material that was used to cover the copper lines which caused pinhole leaks after 7 years of use. We paid them an additional $8,000 to replace the lines so we could use the 7 year old system they installed. We continued to use their services for maintenance and repair not because we were loyal to the owners but because we loved their technicians who do great work. Last year when we called to schedule our spring AC Maintenance in December 2025 we were told they could not schedule us until July 2026. We explained that would prevent us from using our AC system until mid summer and we were basically told take it or leave it. We took the appointment for July and called in late May to see if they could come sooner when we were told no we contacted a back up company for Spring 2026 to get our AC up and running. Fast forward to October 2026 we called Valcourt to scheldule an appointment for Spring 2027 at first they schedule a date to clean our furnace and AC units for 2027 then they called us back and said the owner (Chad Valcourt) said he canceled our appointments for 2027 seeing we got someone else to do our furnace and AC units for 2026 season we should go back and use them for 2027 he was dropping us as a client. So after over 20 years as a devoted customer and tens of thousands of dollars invested in his company that is how he as a business owner treats his customers. He was a really nice young guy when he started his company but I guess when you get too successful you forget the customers who helped you in the beginning when you were getting established. That is very sad. I am giving this 1 Star only because I have to, it really deserves no Stars for a lack of loyalty to devoted customers who helped the owner of this company (Chad Valcourt) start his business many, many years ago.

This summer, after 24 years of good service, our Lennox air conditioner unit failed. We asked…read morerepresentatives from several local companies to evaluate the situation, make recommendations, and submit an estimate to replace the unit. Almost all the representatives that contacted us noted that a failed compressor was the problem Another problem was that our unit was located beneath the roof in a third-floor attic. We decided to go with Continental Engineering, the same company that installed our unit 24 years ago. While each of the representatives was knowledgeable and courteous, it was Richard DiRocco from Continental Engineering that impressed us the most. Not only did he give us a reasonable estimate, but he also described how that unit on the third floor could be accessed and removed. Our min contact was Pam in the main office who made all the arrangements. When the day for the new units arrived, Roger and two assistants installed the new units. They were amazing. Before they removed the original unit, they put cloth over the stairs and other areas where they would be working. Everyone we dealt with at Continental was informative, helpful, and very professional. We look forward to many more years of comfort with our new unit.

I told him what we wanted and he had Mike and another guy there THE NEXT morning!! The men were friendly and even took the time to wipe up any footprints they made before they left! Two weeks later, our heater shut off (not related to them it turned out to be leaking from rainstorm and a little got to the heater and tripped the anti-flood system.) Called Joe at 6:30am and Mike and the other guy were there around 9:30 to check it out and thoroughly checked all possibilities. They even saw the potential spot that water was coming in on chimney and put a little bit of sealant on it to see if that helps. I will recommend Feula Plumbing & Heating to EVERYONE who needs those services!! Joe is readily available and explains everything and Mike and man (I wish I knew his name) are FANTASTIC!
