Our Audi desperately needed a brake job and Alan was very responsive about getting us in. His place is a little tricky to find (the neighborhood doesn't allow a sign) but with his help it was no problem. I felt he went above and beyond because he had to reorder some parts, and that took the repair into a Saturday. But he finished the work that day and we were able to pick up the car even though it was the weekend. He was great with communication and the price was fair. It's a professional shop in spite of being next to a mini-farm (which is cool). We are super happy we brought our car to him and will use Superior in the future for sure!! read more

I walked over to Superior Automotive after my car wouldn't start and after describing the situation Alan helped me get it going. Turned out I had a flooded engine and he suggested a trick to get the engine going and it worked!! Saved me the $$ and enormous hassle of towing it somewhere to get it diagnosed and fixed. Coincidentally I needed to get a long overdue oil change, but Alan was busy so I didn't get that service this time around, but I would have trusted Alan to handle any repairs on my car. read more

I have to say hands down if you are looking for an honest shop with quality workmanship at the best price look no further. Alan and Gene took on the job of rebuilding my transmission along with servicing both differentials and my transfer case for thousands less than the dealership or any other shop I consulted. they went over everything with a fine tooth comb and made my truck run like it did out of the showroom. they go the extra mile. Alan (owner) personally called me to check in at each milestone and let me know what was going on with a complex build. they were on time and under budget. You will not go wrong here. FYI I had some items serviced before the truck ended up in their shop and when they went over everything Alan indicated that they looked good instead of the usual bs of trying to get you to buy more than you need. This place is awesome!! My battery died a couple blocks away. Gene was great! He walked the two blocks with me with his portable charger, started my car no problem. Then he told me to come by the station so he could check to see if everything was ok. Everything was fine, and I was on my way! All no charge, just great service!! Should be called inferior motors-head got sent to another shop who charged me $100 and something to tell me the head was cracked. so Allen thought the best way to go would be buy a used engine...which we did, after all new gaskets and other parts the total was $4200. Another mechanic told me he could have got me a new motor for that price...never the less I was ok with it until I had to bring it back within a week because of a huge oil leak and engine light on. They fixed the leak and engine light off. took it home and started running like crap...had a miss, then the tranny went out. I payed $3000 for a different shop to put in a remanufactured trans....it ran fine except for the weird miss and shifting hard-trans shop checked and said take it back to superior...you have valve cover gasket leak and intake leak. so took it back again, Allen said he fixed the valve cover gasket and fixed a pinched radiator hose and that was the problem. I took it home but it still runs crappy and is leaking from what looks like a brake line or something. I am not taking it back again as I live 1hr away and this has already costed be too much time and money back to their shop 4 different times. should have never done it. I called Allen back one last time but he didn't return my call this time. Heads up everyone....they are honest....but their work sucks! Oh....he also talked me into a $70 oil change which I wouldn't have done if I new it would still run bad and have a leaky brake or coolant line...whatever it is....run away from there. Only a 3 month warranty...so I am screwed now! read more
