I interviewed no fewer than eight pool companies before finally handing my prehistoric 1963 pool over to the capable hands of Superhero Pool. This thing was basically a concrete dinosaur that had somehow survived six decades of questionable decisions, and it desperately needed new tile, fresh plaster, a new light, and a leak patched up before it staged a full rebellion. I can't say enough good things about the company and how smoothly they communicated throughout the entire process. My main contact, Dave, was genuinely helpful, pleasant, and refreshingly non-pushy--the rare salesperson who doesn't make you feel like you're being gently herded into a timeshare presentation. And then there's Juan, their plumbing wizard. This guy can apparently do everything, shows up when he says he will, and is as friendly as he is competent. After a difficult experience with a pool repair company that broke more things than they fixed leaving us with a pool that continued to lose a lot of water, I asked Chat GBT for guidance, and its first recommendation was Superhero Pools. Thank you, Chat GBT! Superhero Pools could not have been more responsive. Chase and his team came out the next day, thoroughly examined the pool (yes, they dove in) and gave a reasonable bid for repairing multiple fixes and how long it would take. I mentioned injecting an epoxy filler (which the other company used and said was the only way) but Chase wasn't comfortable using that method because he said it rarely holds and he was right - the one area that I thought was resolved by the other pool company with epoxy filler, began leaking within a month. For that reason, I decided to wait a bit before submitting a review, to make sure Superhero's work held up AND,,, it's been months, and our pool, maybe for the first time in years, is not losing water! After looking for a pool company to do a leak detection These guys came out ! And they were super professional About the way they checked my pool. Non of the BS stuff ! You could tell they know what their doing and that the owner has much knowledge by everything I asked about he answered everything with much patience and gave me guidance afterwards on what is needed to be done as well with the problem I might have. They give you a detailed report afterwards about everything that is done and luckily I didn't have a leak from the pool so that definitely was helpful cause I'm trying to find out where I've got a leak from on this property I'm renting. I was more than impressed with everyone I talked with, or met, from Superhero Pools. My house had a pool that hadn't had water in it for over 25 years. I asked three different pool companies to come and give me a quote and I had no idea how different each company would be. Danny Rodriguez was my first contact with Superhero Pools. Danny was friendly, let me ask him a bunch of questions and I felt confident that he was representing Superhero Pools with a transparency that is rarely found in any type of construction business. Superhero Pools had the lowest quote, and except for me adding a couple of items, I was not charged for anything that was not in the contract. No hidden costs! The work started within a few days. The first crew were the ones to demo and remove all the old plaster. I thought this might be a full day or more of work. Danny assured me his crew were demo ninja's and would be completely done in about 4 hours. It was amazing! Danny also assured me that the crew would clean and remove the old plaster and would leave my backyard cleaner than when they started. That's exactly what happened! New fill lines had to be added to the pool and Juan, was an artist with the cement saw, installing the plumbing required, setting up the equipment, etc. Everything he did was very precise and methodical. The cuts in the cement were filed and it looks like a very neat and straight pattern in my cement. Looks great and not ugly as I thought it might be. Next was the plaster crew. So fascinating to watch the team work together and to see the pool come to life! Fast, efficient, and the pool is absolutely beautiful! Superhero pools had a pool man come for the first few days of the pool being filled. My son Chad would watch him for anything that he might learn so he could take care of the pool servicing going forward. He was very kind in answering any questions we had as we watched him do the servicing. I had also asked for someone to come and show us how the new equipment would work, what chemicals to use and when, and what equipment to purchase to do the weekly care of the pool. A nice, smart, patient man came and went through everything. I was trying to write everything down and he stopped me and said that he would be emailing me the information as he new it was a lot to take in when never having a pool! He also told me he would send me links to the items that would need to be purchased like chlorine, acid, conditioner, etc. I casually asked him how long he had worked for Superhero Pools, he said that he was with the company from the beginning, as he was the owner! I had no idea it was the owner, Will, that was working with my son on the training! I was so grateful! He was remarkable with us! I would rate Will, Danny, Juan and the crews a 10 out of 10 if the ratings went that high! My final note to share is Claudia. The office manager. Claudia was the one to go to for information for anything. Like everyone else at Superhero Pools, she was friendly, went out of her way to get me answers if she didn't already know the answers and always followed up with me with the work status or to ask if there was anything I was concerned with. After calling several leak detection companies who said they could not work with my Caretaker system, I finally found Will Barnett at Superhero Pool Corp. They arrived timely, did a thorough exam of the pool. The pool is about 40 years old, and in consultation, we decided to do a complete renewal: replacing tile, sealing the gap between pool and patio, and finally replacing the interior pebble finish. This was a big job, and not inexpensive. Their crews showed up when expected, worked diligently and most important, kept me abreast of everything. An unexpected delay in getting new pop-up heads delayed the final refinish by a week, but I was informed at every step. Everyone, to a person was courteous, professional and very pleasant to work with. Best of all, the result is spectacular. After five different quotes , we hired Superhero Pools to re- plaster our massive , outdated pool . Our pool had been re-plastered twice and acid washed twice in the 22 + years . After speaking with Will , my husband and I decided to ditch the plaster and go with micro-pebble tech for longevity , easiness of cleaning and beauty ! Does it cost a few bucks more : yes . BUT ! It's so worth it !! Will also made some suggestions on how to update the look of our pool without breaking the bank ! We decided to add a massive Baja tanning shelf ! I requested that my pipes be pressure tested for leaks. They came out and did the testing and told me that I have a major leak in the underground pipes going to my return lines. I was given a quote of almost $2000.00 to fix the leak. I opted to have the leak fixed on my own. I dug out the area where they told me I had the leak and found nothing. Superhero pools came back retested and lo and behold, they confirmed that there was no leak. I guess it was a miracle. They did reimburse me for my cost of having to dig the hole and search for the broken pipe but I assume they did this to avoid me reporting them for fraud. I was still charged $500.00 for the leak testing. I decided to let it go but I also decided that people need to be warned about blindly paying for services you may not need. read more

Originally I left a review on 7/4/23. I am now updating my review. In April 2024 (9 months after they worked on my pool) Superhero Pools sent me a package demanding and intimidating me to take down my bad review or they will sue me for Libel. I am protected to free speech by the 1st amendment as long as I do not lie. I hired Will to get my pool fixed with the guarantee the pool will be ready in time for my family that will be visiting me for the July 4th week and to service my pool after the repair. Will agreed to service my pool after the repair. They told me the pool pump needed to be replaced and then they would shock the pool and it would be ready in time. I paid them just over $2K. Unfortunately, I forwarded 4 naughty Instagram videos to Will by mistake. They were supposed to go to another Will. Will stated he installed the pump, and it works (even though he had not tested it) and he will not be servicing my account anymore because of the "crazy text messages". I apologized in 7 text messages and many voicemails and begged him many times to be professional and at least make sure the pool could be used when my family arrived. I was so stressed! He declined. I was not able to find a company in time and my family was not able to use the pool during the hot July 4th week. Please do not use this company as they are dishonest, untrustworthy and extremely UNPROFFESSIONAL! In addition if you leave them a bad review they may also threaten to sue you. read more
