I just moved to Tucson. I had a great semi-short layered haircut that was getting too long. I had a 'first available' and Mayra cut my hair. I just needed the same style only a little shorter. She did a terrible job. The right side layers are not blended and is shorter than the left. The back layers actually have areas that are too short and the layers do not blend. No matter what I do, the bottom of the back just sticks up and will not go under. I have never given a bad review before but I feel that I have to protect others from getting such a bad cut. When I got home and really saw what she had done to my hair I regretted giving her an undeserved tip. It will take months before my hair grows out. Been to Supercuts a few times especially when I'm on a budget and they get the job done for a cut, a simple color or even when I'm too lazy to straighten or curl my hair. I also like the fact that they are open 7 days a week so if I get a hair up my hoo-haw for an immediate chanhe I can usually just walk-in and be taken care of. The hair dresser working made me feel very uncomfortable right when I walked in. I showed her a haircut and she basically said that's not a haircut it's how she styled it. I found it a little rude because obviously it was a haircut. She also kept telling me to sit up straight and fix my shoulders but I had my back straight the entire time. She couldn't hear me well so I adjusted my mask and she told me to keep my mask on which I never intended to take it off. I ask her for curtain bangs and she said that's not a thing.. it's how you style it. I wanted to leave so I told her to just trim my hair instead. She didn't even attempt to give me the haircut I wanted and shot down every idea I had with my hair. It just wasn't a good experience. read more

I had an 11:00 appt - made this morning at 9:30. When I arrived at 10:55 I was told it would be about 20 minutes. Apparently my appointment time didn't make any difference. When I finally got in the chair almost an hour later, I was told that they had "thrown away" my color card and she would have to make up a color for me - but not to worry, she was an expert at it. As she went to mix my color, I told her that I was very uncomfortable as this was the first time since quarantine that I had ventured out to get my hair done. She told me not to be afraid - but don't worry about her laryngitis, she had been out drinking and singing over the weekend, and it was just because of that... which said to me - I go out on the weekends and don't care about being cautious. Finally at 12:20, when my color still wasn't even mixed, I walked out. I have been going to this salon for several years now. Although I am a snowbird, and don't go that often, I expected that, at the very least, my card would be kept on file. At least I know now not to recommend this salon to other snowbird friends, and to reach out to them to find a new salon to go to. With the right staff and the right procedures, I liked this place. But there are plenty of other places out there to learn to like. read more

I took my grandson here for a "fade" cut and it was the absolute worst cut ever!!! This is the 2nd time bringing him here as the first time was just as awful, but I thought perhaps to try one more time. I do not recommend this place at all. The music is too loud and obnoxious. We also had the pleasure of getting Krystal for my husband's cut. She was very efficient and skilled and he liked the finished look. I had my hair colored and cut by Maxi a week later. She did a great job on both. She listen to me, and successfully executed my preferences. Since I usually go to high end salons, I was apprehensive to try Supercuts. I had no reason to fear and love the results - a high end look without the high end prices. They also have 20% off color treatments on Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Maxi let me know the stylists attend regular trainings and are regularly recertified. Everyone I observed coming in and going out during my time there left with quality cuts and styles. Then she told me all the reasons why she would need to stop the process, i proceeded to tell her to just go on. Then not only did she mess up his hair she also cut off some of his tail i specifically told her not to ruin. I still payed he and didn't say a word because i was like ill just never return again.
