Thank you Shae! Your review had me hook, line and sinker! I tried to get in to see Ezquidio, back in May, but he was book for two weeks solid. In the meantime, I totally forgot the name of the salon. BUT, I Yelp searched "hair whisperer" and it came right up! This time, I planned in advance and made sure to make an appointment way ahead of time. Apparently, when you are a hair whisperer, you are in high demand. I couldn't be happier with the results. I did a asymmetrical spikey bob, which I have been having so much fun doing. I am also now a fiery redhead. He took the time to look at my Pinterest photos and make suggestions. I can't wait to see what he will do next! I think I walked out paying $65 for cut, color and waxing! Ezquidio was so friendly! He even ran after me with a mirror on my way to my car, because he wanted me to see they way the sun played in my hair. And this was after closing time. My coworker had appointment on Friday as she was referred there for a haircut. She was put in a chair and sat there for a half hour without anyone acknowledging her or apologizing for the wait. Other patrons came in and were attended to immediately. Other stylists were on their phones and paying her no mind even Ezquidio himself passed her by with no acknowledgment. It was my first time doing my hair with them . I showed the picture to the hairstylist and showed her what actually I want . It was very simple but she did my hair differently ( she might not get it the same ) but at least make it look good !!!! wasn't like that picture and it looked really ugly and I wasn't able to see what she's doing I saw my hair when she literally done with everything!! I rate Ezquidio's Hair studio a full 5 stars because it's been a great place to go! The service is top of the line, and it has a great atmosphere. I was VERY surprised when I walked in a few years ago when meeting my grandma there (she had just gotten her hair done, she's been going for years). I was impressed, but never though to go there myself, it looked like it'd be expensive, one day I decided to try it out since I was in the area, I walked in with no appointment (I was never used to making appointment's for haircuts) and they took me in quickly for a haircut, I went a few more times, and found a hairstylist that I have been hooked on, Debbie. Debbie is an amazing stylist!!! I have a hard time trusting people with my hair because it usually ends up 1-2 inches shorter than I asked. This isn't the case with Debbie. I've been going to her religiously every 6 weeks for a while now and I am never disappointed. She always knows exactly what to do to keep my hair looking fabulous and healthy. If you get your hair cut, having her style it is a must, you will not regret it. You may even decide to go out on the town because, seriously, you will feel like EVERYONE needs to see how good your hair looks. Debbie also does makeup and color. worst experience ever. I walked in and it was pretty slammed, so I was going to just leave, I was told I could wait "15 or maybe longer" minutes to get in. So I say OK, sit down and wait an hour. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Mr Ezquidio himself. I must say, every time I go somewhere to get my hair done I end up regretting it. For the first time in 15 years I loved how someone did my hair. The way Ezquidio cut and colored my hair raised the bar up very high for the next hairstylist. I've been going to Ezquidios for years! I've had my hair cut, colored, permed, and shaved by these people and have always left feeling confident. I am 30 years old and have been greeted by the same friendly faces since I was probably 5! Debbie kills it at pretty much everything you ask her to do and always asks for your input. So... I scheduled an appt last week, took the day off, drove to this place. I walk in and tell them I have an appt with Meena at 1:00. The person at the desk then told me she took the day off. She asked my name, looked in the appt book and said, " oh yeah, she knew she had appointments but booked herself off last night".HELLO???? You think somebody could've called me? WTF. No apologies or offers to fix the situation as I walked out the door. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE! Update 5/5/17: I was contacted my Meena on Yelp who told me she had to book off as her dog was sick. If this is true, I hope the dog is feeling better. However she then went on to LIE and say that both her and her boss tried to call me but my phone was disconnected. Funny that the owner called me yesterday. I told him never to call me as I'll not step into that salon ever again. Were it not for Shae S., I would never have found this place. It's located in an industrial/warehouse mall, so it's just about the last place I would have expected to find a hair salon. The exterior of the shop is about as exciting as the exterior of the USPS on Cherrybell. But step inside, and you're instantly transported to a gorgeous, upscale salon. The staff at his salon are extremely welcoming - on my first visit, they made me feel as though I had been a customer there for years. Truth be told: I am hardly a fashionista. I mostly wear my hair in a ponytail, and I sometimes go for months without a haircut. My personal "style" is a combination of student/lab rat, sprinkled with hassled mom and topped off with a heavy dose of baby-bag-posing-as-purse. Stylists have a hard time suppressing their looks of utter dread and disdain when I enter, and I can only imagine that they must be wondering, "Where do I begin?" But not Ezquidio. He was professional from the get go. When I told him he had free reign to cut my hair however he wanted (as long as I could still pull it into a ponytail) he just smiled brightly and went to work. I've honestly never had a cut like his before; he used tools I've never seen and incorporated layering everywhere. When he was done, there was a huge pile of hair surrounding my chair. The length appeared just a few inches shorter, so I knew I would still be able to pull it into a ponytail. But then he added a bit of styling product and a blow drier and - wow, what a difference! My hair looked like movie star hair. Seriously. It'd never looked so good. Suddenly, I wished I had dressed better for my hair appointment. I was thrilled, but thought to myself, "I'll never be able to replicate this at home," but with a little effort (as in using a blow drier and a round brush) I'm able to pull it off on my own. The cut is that good. To top it off: he only charged $25. Ezquidio has been in business for several years, and since he owns the store, I know that another one of my quandaries has been solved - reliability (past hair dressers I've gone to have an annoying habit of changing employers, never to be seen again). It's nice to know that I won't have to find a new hair dresser a few months from now. He is also an absolute delight. Ezquidio is a true artist, on multiple levels. Interior design, flower arranging, make-up and special effects... Ask him to show you photos of some of his past Halloween costumes. Amazing! Book yourself an appointment. I went in, hesitantly I may add, and was immediately taken care of by a woman named Toni. I told her I hadn't got my hair cut in almost two years because of all the bad experiences I have had with hair salons, and she assured me everything would be fine and that the salon had been there for 25 years. Every time she took length off she checked with me to make sure it was where I wanted it and asked if I wanted more off. She gave me the exact hairstyle I requested and did it quickly. I told her I had a job interview and she styled my hair for me to help me look nice for that interview. I highly recommend Ezquidio's and Toni, and will definitely be calling her for all of my hair needs in the future. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Do not let the location influence your opinion or deter from trying it! I went there for the first time after my hairdresser (in the foothills) of many many years left town. His replacement was not that good, and kept jacking up his fees until I decided that enough was enough. I searched everywhere and opted for Ezquidio's because of the reviews I read here in Yelp. If they were wrong, it would've been a one-time mistake, so I decided to take that risk. I was set up with Toni, and I could not be happier. I get my hair dyed every 4 weeks, and her prices are very reasonable (and the hair cuts, starting at $15 are a steal!). I have taken my daughters for hair cuts and hairdos for special occasions, and they loved it. I recommend this place. read more

Toni Made sure that my hair was carefully treated. I felt that I had reached the Blonde desired, However owner Ezquidio felt that my hair could go a shade lighter and offered me a complimentary visit to achieve the maximum results without damaging my hair. I returned today and I now have the hair color and style I have always dreamed of..... After randomly finding this salon on yelp, I decided to take my chances and give it a try. I walked in, was sweetly greeted, and quickly seen by Esquidio himself. I showed him a picture and he was amazing! Not only did he cut my hair exactly like the picture but he give me great styling tips and made me feel really comfortable. The salon is gorgeous and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. I had to come back later that day due to an already scheduled appointment to have my car oil changed, and Debbie did my color. She did an amazing job and was very soft and relaxing. After speaking to the staff, they all mentioned how much they loved what they do and I really think that's why I got such an amazing hair make-over today. The price is pretty average but definitely worth it. I love that the clientele are all ages and styles and they all left with gorgeous styles- both men and women.
