I call ahead for courtesy to ensure there's a colorist available And have been a customer for all my hair needs over 7 yrs... I Called today for root coloring appt. She offered 2pm. I asked for something earlier and she stated, "that wouldn't leave many stylist available". I believe I'm a paying customer, but I'm sure they make less for coloring. Another time I asked why my cost was much higher than posted, she replied, "because you have longer hair"??? For roots? Another time, I courtesy called for root touch up appt, just to be told to call back in the morning for available spots...it was 6 hours before they closed? In the morn I called and again it was a later slot available. Nobody should feel like money's the main topic to a hairstylist, although my AVERAGE is $110 between products, cut and/or color, oh and tip, when I walk out. Satisfaction and returning customers should be. Needless to say, the star is for being present, but the reoccurring excuses to accommodate my hair needs is frustrating. If I just show up, I get the person with less seniority, because I said "color". Yes, it's "Supercuts", then take off hair coloring off the menu then if you make us secondary to other customers. read more

My daughter is in complete tears. We scheduled an appointment at Supercuts to get an inch or so off of her hair tips and blend in her then super long (well below the chin) bangs. Ended up with much shorter than desired length and dome kind of 'speudo curtain bangs'. read more

This is not a good place to go unless you can't afford anything else, like me. The last two times I have gone here I got the same stylist, a Korean man but I can't remember his name. Each time he does a great shampoo/TeaTree but the cut really is horrible. Last time I was able to grow it out so it looked better but this time that isn't going to happen. I notice while he was working on me that one side seemed shorter than the other. I assumed that when he was almost done he would go back and double check everything. Nope, as I stood up and put on my glasses I could see just how bad that difference was. I brought it up to him and he "checked" both sides and declared that they were even. Rather than stir up a fuss I just paid and left. The next day when I was doing my hair to get ready for work I wanted to cry. Not only was one side shorter but I could see that the layers all around were choppy and uneven. I have two choices now. I wish I could rate this place no stars. If I was you, I wouldn't enter this establishment because they obviously don't care about their customers. This is what I want: hair cut, coloring, and styling. They had an apprentice to do the washing and cutting. Left my hair wet and put me on another station. Ok I don't mind waiting 30 mins. See the only woman who does coloring doing another woman's hair. Now she says "just 15 mins extra". Uhm ok... then another hairstylist asks me to go to the waiting room. Uhm there's like at least 7 stations... so I say, " I went to one station to this one, so where do you guys want me to sit?" And she said "in the waiting room". Now my hair is wet and I'm feeling a draft from the doors opening and closing. I look over and see the woman who told me to move is teaching another apprentice how to style hair on a MANNEQUIN!!! So this woman sends me to the waiting room with cold hair so she can teach someone to style a mannequin's hair! I go to the front desk asking this. "That's where they practice and style hair. There's more than just that station. They could easily move the head and do it somewhere else. Also I'm a paying customer, they can style on their own time where they didn't place me. Just more excuses and all they can say is sorry. So now I'm going to pay because I said I don't want my hair colored by them. Knowing I'm still upset, they STILL charged me. Great customer service. TERRIBLE. My hairdresser was the most haste and sloppiest one that I ever had. It was an Asian lady that totally lacked a smile. I came in wanting a trim. She didn't even rearrange my hairline (which I always part in the side), clip my hair, and no blow dry. She basically went to snipping a little here and there. My haircut was terrible by the way, and uneven. She went through me in maybe seven minutes! And that was after the second round when I told her to go shorter. I could definitely tell I was rushed. Do not let TC cut your hair! His station had hair left on the chair. If that's how he left his chair imagine how dirty his tools are. If you're a guy he will not check to make sure he cut your side burns evenly. If you're a female he will cut your hair horribly. I went in asking for my pixie hairstyle cleaned up. This guy shaved my head, and then left my hair long on top. He obviously was rushing and did not even listen to me. He does not care about what he does. I left wanting to cry and can't even look in the mirror. Either book with someone else or pay more money and go some where else. I'm posting a review so other new potential customers are aware of my experiences. On Saturday I called for a cut and color at 10am and was told that they are booked for the day and don't take reservations and to call back Sunday morning at 9am when they open. I called back at Sunday 9am and was put on hold twice to find out that they again didn't have enough people to accommodate a cut and color for the whole day. So twice I call at opening hours and twice I'm told the same runaround story. How are you booked 2 min after opening? Very disappointed. read more

They don't value your time here. Called in the morning and made an appointment for 1:30 with Tina. Moved my day around to align the appointment with my lunch break. I raced over and made it at 1:25. Only to be told Tina took a late lunch and would be back within 45 minutes. If I had time to wait 45 minutes, I would not have made an appointment. Very disappointed. DO NOT get your hair cut here. I wish I could give it 5 piles of poop as a rating. It doesn't deserve even one star. This place gets so much business, being that they are centrally located and cheap, that they do not give TWO CRAPS about you individually. If you are dissatisfied with your cut or even just half way decent customer service, they don't care because another customer with money will just come in and take your place. I went there three times. Their customer service was mediocre at best. I felt like I was in McDonald's. The last time I went there I put my name on the list and was told to return in an hour. I returned and they made me wait another 20 minutes even though they said I would be taken in just a couple. I started getting irritated because I had been waiting so long and they were the least bit remorseful or sympathetic about and were borderline rude. Finally they tossed me over to the lady who I didn't asked for, but I couldn't wait any longer so I allowed her to cut my hair. She cut my top layer of layered hair all the way around ALONG THE LENGTH OF MY BANGS. My longest layer was down past my chin. My bangs on the left look horrible even to this day! It took me SIX months to grow my hair to where it is now and it will take me more than another YEAR to grow my hair out long enough to get it cut just so it's even. I HATE my haircut and am extremely embarrassed. For someone who has 15 years of experience,... She clearly didn't know how to clean up. Nor blend the fade. Some parts are just longer than the other. Smh. Wasted $20 for a shitty haircut. Well I promised I would never go back after Dong did a crap job and then spent 10 minutes trying to sell me tea tree shampoo and conditioner for $40! Due to the late opening hours I decided to give it another go! I had a lovely Hispanic woman who gave me a great haircut and a wash was only another $3! She was not pushy and find a much better job on my hair than before! I will be back! read more

This place is horrible. Don't get your hair cut here! I made an spot for 230 and checked in right on time. They promptly checked me off their list and left me sitting for 20 minutes. Finally when the 3pm appt went before me I stepped up. The hairdresser had the personality of a blank wall. I took a couple inches off for 17$!!! Outrageous on the prices not worth the wait and the service was very mediocre. Never going back I will contact my 82 year old Grandma to do my next trim. It was just a bad haircut, my brother didnt like it, cried for a little because he's embarrassed, but maybe the guy who cut my little bros hair didnt hear right or he was having a bad day but he laughed at my little bro, it just wasnt it. Simply the worst hair cut I have had in years. My normal gal us out for a month and I needed a cut. I got assigned to a younger Asian guy with a bowl cut with feathered 1980 look. I should have run then. i asked right away if he could do scissors because I don't like clippers he said yes. I also asked to get washed and he said yes . I looked down as he put the apron o and thought we were going to go to the sink and he stared cutting the back if my hair with clippers. I stopped him but it was to late he already got two deep passes in on the back if my head. I am so bummed he tried to fix but no way around it I have two different hair lengths . I took my Mom to Super Cuts to get a short Bob. I asked for a Shampoo, blow-dry and for the stylist to use a curling iron to give her a cute do. I went to run errands....I came back an hour later....not sure what kind of cut they gave her on the sides. The one man stylist is who she got in the cue to do her hair...she waited an hour. By the time I arrived the guy was using the curling iron on her...unfortunately he had to ask for help because he did not know how to use a curling iron. I asked why my mom would be given a stylist that could not do the job... If you run a beauty salon you would think that most stylists would be proficient at the basics. If a stylist does not know how to do something, they should trade clients with someone who is proficient. I am disgusted and frankly outraged by the whole incident. My fault for taking her to a stupid place. I guess if you want a buzz cut and you are a guy...you can't go wrong. Ladies beware and go somewhere else. read more

A good cutter is hard to find. And when I find one, I'll stay until they move, retire or die. Sang is my choice. I've been going to her for a few years. Sang is the only one here to cut my hair. HORRIBLE.TERRIBLE. ATROCIOUS. BIG WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I would've gave negative stars but it wouldn't let me. My first and last visit. I don't live in the area but I work in Marina so I decided to get a cut before I went to work. HUGE MISTAKE. Some Asian guy with long hair (just a little past his ears) and apparently no deodorant gave me my cut. He didnt even tell me his name and kept calling me "meester" because he couldn't even say my name right(ugh). I told him how I wanted my cut, a fade with an inch cut off the top. I showed him with my hand where I wanted the fade to be done. I don't know if it was because he didn't understand English very well or if he didn't hear or even pay attention to what I was saying, because he faded me well above where I showed him where it was supposed to be. He totally screwed up the back of my hair as well. He didn't even bother asking me if I wanted to see the back, every other supercuts I've been to always asks me that. The stylist who also cuts my hair always tells me their name. But for some reason none of that happened at this location.Maybe because this is a franchise owned location, not a corporate location. Which is why everything must've been so bad here. Because they just don't give a f$&k. Now I understand that the other stylists here are probably not as bad as this guy. They probably can cut hair, but when I was in there everyone looked pissed off. No smiles no talking nothing. Something I usually don't see. Usually at other supercuts people are friendly and some like to talk to you when they are cutting your hair. Not here. I swear everybody in there looked like they hated you. What a terrible atmosphere to be in. I was so upset in my cut and at how bad my experience was there that I just wanted to get out. I was going to be late to work if I stayed and cause a scene. Besides its a franchise, I'm pretty sure the manager was there but they're not gonna care about what you have to say. They all already looked pissed anyway. I called the customer service number to complain and that's when I found out that it was franchise owned. I left my name and number but I don't expect anything anymore. It's not like they're going to refund you or do anything about it anyway. If it was a corporate location then maybe. So I write this as a warning to anyone else who is thinking of going here. DON'T DO IT. I think there is another one in Monterey. You are better off going there or anywhere else instead of this place. If you decide to go there then go at your own risk. You may get lucky and get a good cut, but the poor customer service is almost just as bad as the cut I received. Overall it's just not worth it. Save yourself the trouble and time. Don't believe me? When I come here I always get Hwang #9 to cut my hair. Everyone else is just ok I find. He always cuts my hair just the way I want it.

We were helped by a very nice lady named Ashley who had great customer service. The shop itself was semi clean & the guy who cut our hair was very nice and did a great job on haircut. As for the other staff there was attitude thru out the 1.5 hr wait & sarcasm with new customers coming in. I recommend that if your not happy with your job CHANGE IT. read more
